  • I ran into the BAD DATA glitch while playing Spore GA during Creature Stage. I've seen the method for fixing it but I'm not sure if its just for regular Spore so I haven't tried it. Does this method fix BAD DATA glitches in Galactic Adventures?

    • I believe so, yes. I recall suffering BAD DATA once, and I resolved it, but that was long after I had GA.

    • Thanks, though I do have one more question. I started a playthrough before fixing the BAD DATA glitch, (I was at Creature stage at the time) everything seemed normal until I got to Space. Every planet and star had a random name, except for the file's home star, which is still called BAD DATA. I've heard of a cheat to rename it, but I'm unsure whether this glitch will affect any future save files too. Does it?

    • It should do: planet and star names are stored outside of any individual saved game.

    • Well, I tried making a quick file in Space Stage and noticed the home star was also called BAD DATA. Is there any way to fix this without cheats?

    • (note: I am not the same a FANDOM user who made this.)

according to the major glitches article, it is caused by the code of the name generator breaks down. so the answer is yes, you will need to replace the name generator file.
