Gas Giants Edit
You can't colonize a gas giant; there's no land. They don't call it a gas giant for nothing. Tie-Dye Jeans 20:02, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- I hope you noticed you can make a colony orbit a Gas Giant. TimeMaster 20:13, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
A rare glitch has been discovered where Gas Giants are colonized by other empires, and White spice is shown in the planet's description. I expect that this bug will be addressed, but I don't expect the opportunity to colonize a gas giant.
As it is a rumour, I doubt if the expansion would include colonies on Gas Giants. It would look cool with swirling storm clouds, but there would'nt be much variety because most Gas Giants look very similar in Spore. Also you can colonize Gas Giants but you cannot collect or buy any White spice. Wormulon 18:34, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
But, if you want to go trough a wormhole, with its enormous gravity it must crush you, why can`t you go to a Gad Giant, with is much smaller pressure?
i belive that the wormhole key is the reason for this, it allows you to travel through a black hole without getting crushed. maybe something to allow you to colonize gas giants. Also i think that it is appaling that gas giants will occasionly be replaced with adventure planets as it makes it feel less like space. maybe adding a whole new planet from the blue would be better~hex
Well, there won't be any Gas Giant colonizing, and you can't enter their atmospheres either in GA. Furby98 21:59, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Maybe we can have colonies IN SPACE!
To respond to hex, wormholes actually aren't the same thing as black holes, and probably don't even have gravity. Black holes are just blobs of supercompressed matter, while wormholes are holes in the time/space continuum. Spore unrealistically portrays wormholes as sucking everything in. ~cats forever
They are not exactly the same things as black holes, but they do have extreme gravity, in fact gravity would pinch a wormhole shut, crushing any passing starships. It may be possible that using negative energy or exotic mastter could hold the wormhole long enough for passage. Wormulon 20:59, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
And Planets? Edit
Sorry, I had a momentary confusion
--Fedelede 16:57, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
What do you mean? The expansion won't stop you from visiting other normal planets. You can still do all those things on other planets, so I don't get what you're talking about. Furby98 20:22, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
An expansion pack adds things, and does not remove them, hence the name expansion! Wormulon 18:12, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I think you found out about the fact that you could only go down to adventure planets(Meaning that you can only beam down captains to adventure planets, not any other) and mistook it for a statement that you can only visit adventure planets. They mean that the flesh-and-blood captain will only be able to go down to adventure planets, but you can still visit other planets in your ship. Furby98 18:17, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, that. Thanks, Furby98 --Fedelede 22:50, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Everyone thinks the Medusa's tail is a new part, but it's not! That sharp curving bit on the end of it's tail is just a normal part from the weapons category! It's in the blades category, starting with Scimitar, and the part on the Medusa's tail is the third in the category. The only reason some people think it's new is because they probably don't know the parts well enough to recognize it, but recognizing it might not be so easy if you aren't REALLY experienced with the parts, because that part has had morph handles used on it. It's nothing special, it's not a new part! Guys, I think we can safely assume that there are no new creature parts in the expansion, but that does not dismiss the possibility of new parts for buildings, vehicles and spaceships, or perhaps new costume parts. If new costume parts are planned, Maxis is probably still working on them or they are just not using them for the captains in the videos and the rotating captains because they're keeping it for a surprise that they're gonna put in at the last moment. Furby98 13:08, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
The creature part thing is still a mystery, look at the creature on the red circle. Mr. Serious 13:41, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
And that creatures head, it looks like a new part because the box artist probably just made up that part to make the creature look better. Look on the cover of Creepy and Cute, the arms of Skoog are shorter than it's actually possible and his eyes look like an entirely new part! It's just made up by the artist to enhance the image! There are no new creature parts! Furby98 22:21, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
You don't know there are new parts in Spore GA, it is still a mystery. The arms are shortened and anyone can make a short armed creature and the eyes of skoog are actually the third eye in the eye section of Creepy and Cute. Mr. Serious 12:41, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
It could be possible that there are new parts, but there is actually no evidence! Also, the eye is made to look like the third eye, but the artist made it look slightly different to make it look better! Look at the cover, it's different, it actually looks like a whole new part, but that exact part is not actually in the game! Also, look, the arms are shorter than it's actually possible to make them! They're too short! Also, the artists like to put nostrils on the creatures but nostrils like that do not actually exist on those mouth parts! Like I said, it's just the artist, there's no evidence! Furby98 13:13, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Well I heard you can add in dinosaur nostrils on the creature. 22.214.171.124 09:51, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
You can't! Look at the pictures, they show the nostril as part of the mouth, but the nostril part is actually a separate part that looks different. Furby98 17:52, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
What did you mean by dinosaur nostrils? It's not like nostrils are unique only to dinosaurs! Furby98 15:06, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
Let's end conversation until the pack comes out. 126.96.36.199 13:33, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
The game is now fully out, and there aren't any additional creature parts. GeneralShroom 16:27, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Yep! The pack is out, and I was right, there aren't any new creature parts. There is a cape in the game, but it's one of the captain parts, it gives you a special pose ability. Furby98 21:59, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Interesting... I was looking forward to further trick out my little monsters. Iluvdogs0000 23:47, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
New creature part removal put backEdit
We do not know if the creature parts are not going to be added in the game, We have to wait untill we buy the game. Mr. Serious 21:49, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
We DO know that there won't be any other parts besides ones for the Captain Editor or the Adventure Creator! Read the interview by masscolder, who actually played the game! Red alert Edit
Has anyone but me noticed that whenever a planet is being attacked, the new captains log flashes red, I am NOT talking about the screen. One of my planets was being attacked and by accident I clicked on the captains log, and there was a red glow around my captain. Wormulon 15:06, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Interesting... I'll have to start a war with someone and check that out. 'Course, I could always just plant a colony near the Grox, and they will swarm it. I wonder if that's not supposed to happen...? Iluvdogs0000 23:46, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
that never happened to me ill check it out (i did sigh in yet) --Unknown User
Cool! Maxis must have added it in for fun. It sounds awesome! Whenever you get attacked, your ship's computer screams 'RED ALERT! RED ALERT! HOSTILES DETECTED!... HOSTILES ENGAGING SHIP!... DANGER! DAMAGE IS BEING TAKEN! ENGINE AND WEAPON SYSTEMS ARE NOW AT '47 PER CENT CAPACITY! RED ALERT!' And red lights flash around the captain's cabin signifying a warning, like in some Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica. I'll check this out myself! Of course, it could be a fun little kink Maxis put in, or your empire could just be following the Knight archetype, since the backround screen for the Knight archetype also comes with an effect that covers your creature in an orange glow. Like I said, I'll see... Furby98 21:34, February 11, 2010 (UTC) take this to the forums! not here

no graspers Edit
if your character doesn't have any graspers (hands) will he be able to pick up something? and can he pick up 2 things (like standard 2 hands creatures)
if he can't pick things up i would like to know if there are any missions you have to pick something up... cause those missions are then imposible to complete...
and can you add something like a robotic arm or something so he can pick things up?
if the awnser to all of these is no... i would like to know the best way to make a pair of (almost) invisible arms.
thanks in advance!

- So... you can hold two objects in one mouth?
- I don't know whether you can hold two objects in one mouth. Wormulon 17:21, September 20, 2009 (UTC)
- You can carry two sticks at the same time in Creature Stage. 184.108.40.206 10:00, September 23, 2009 (UTC)
You can carry one object for each hand you have! You can also only carry one object per mouth! And the same apllies to Creature stage, except that you cannot carry things in your mouth. For every other stage, that's how it is. Furby98
You can carry one item per hand. If you have 8 hands, you can carry 8 items. I tried it! Also, if your creature has hands, it will not use it's mouth to hold objects. Leveling Up Edit
I've been playing this game for a while now, and I've seen pictures of people with weapons that are leveled up (ie. blaster level three). All of my weapons are level one and remain at level one even though I have played the game for a while now. For example, I have a poison crystal from the shaman section. I use it a lot, yet whenever I puut my cursor over the action, it still says poison level one. No, I have not cheated or used any glitches. I know for a fact that some things, like the energy pack, are always at level specified by whichever part you have. Please help me, even though it counteradicts my name. (P.S. I am only talking about space stage parts, not creature stage parts like spit.) Sporexperts 21:14, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
Nevermind, I answered this myself. In the captian editor, click on a part that is on your captian and pull the orange squiggly arrow. That levels it up. The only reason I am keeping this up here is because I am sure others will have this problem too. Sporexperts 21:22, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
How do I get Robot Chicken Adventures? Edit
On the Space Stage, I select the Robot Chicken speciality or w/e its called, but when I contact an empire and go on a mission, ofcourse I get the adventure of their type, but when I contact them later they just give me a random user adventure, sometimes the adventure's dont even work!
So, pretty much, how do I get the Robot Chicken Adventures? Trollwood 19:56, January 30, 2010 (UTC)
--Answer for All--
Well, you'll just have to keep asking for different adventures until you end up with a Robot Chicken one. Also, if you don't feel like doing all that through the Space stage, and all you want to do is play it, then do this: Make a creature that you would like as a captain. You can edit it in any editor EXCEPT the Captain Editor. Then click on the Galactic Adventures menu in the Galaxy screen. Select 'Quick Play', and you'll enter the Adventurepedia, a special part of the SporePedia. Select an adventure, and then click okay, or double-click it. Then continue, and the game will show you your captain and ask you what you want to name him. Enter his name, then continue. (REMEMBER! Don't use an captain from ANY of your Space Stage games, or Spore will GLITCH! Only use new captains or Quick-Play captains!) You will be ready to start the adventure. It is recommended that you first play a bunch of quick, easy adventures to earn you some points and let you buy some weapons, and then you can start the harder adventures, like most of the Robot Chickens. Also, you say that sometimes the adventures 'don't work'. Remember, if you try to play an adventure and it says 'you must login to download the creations for this adventure' it means that there are creations in the adventure that you don't have in your Sporepedia yet. You first need ALL the creations that are in the adventure before you can play it. You must login, and you will automatically download them next time you select the adventure. Also, if you don't have the Exo-Parts patch, the Robo-Parts patch, or Creepy and Cute, then you won't be allowed to play an adventure if it has parts in it that you don't have. Also, there is a rare, occasional adventure that simply says 'FAIL' when you try to play it. Don't bother with those. Oh, and before you decide you want to play a Robot Chicken adventure, make sure you've actually got it in your Sporepedia. I hope that was helpful... Furby98 21:23, February 11, 2010 (UTC)
