Uh, I don`t know about you guys, but the justification "As your UFO is a fleet of its own" isn`t very justificating. Two is better than one, and since your UFO is a ship any fleet would be made of groups of UFOs. Has anybody from Maxis said that building more than one UFO is impossible? No? Well, then there's no why to keep that sentence there. Besides, I think there in UFO editing there'll be some mechanincs that relate to size just as the creature editor: be bigger the UFO, the more things you can put on it (or do you think Will would just let one small ship have the genesis device + weapons + Atomic Bomb Stuff + SETI + another bunch of things (many of them being artifacts) in his game? This is against the laws of physics, and agaisnt laws of good gaming. So the bigger the UFO is, the more expensive and expansive it gets. I think that's a way to go, don't you think? 201.42.197.71 15:48, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

== Space fleet question == i leik pie

just something to add to the whole space fleet dicussion if the alien spieces you contact are made by other players and that when u contact them they have space fleets themselves wouldnt they have to be player designed/ created to match the spieces. so all i'm trying to say is that if aliens have fleets shouldnt you yourself (being a fellow player) be able to create space fleets so that other players may fight you in there own universe?

Hope this question could prove helpfull

look at this[]

this is from the offical spore FAQ

"Q: In the space phase will you just control your own spaceship, or will you be able to command fleets of ships? A: When you form an alliance with and alien empire in space, a spaceship from that species will join your own. By forming multiple alliances, you can build a small fleet which you lead by controlling your own spaceship, at the helm of the group."

Unbalanced[]

If players can build up a fleet of ships by being peaceful, then won't they be more powerful than players that exterminate every life-form they encounter? Maybe wiping out another speciesc allows you to build another of your own ships. Morphutate 02:21, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Size[]

What I find particularly annoying is the fact that your UFO is soooooo small. What; is it full of ants? 'The Ant Empire. Armed with feelers.' It should be bigger. It should have fighter hangars. It should be so big that its special weapon is dropping legions of soldiers. Other empires have dozens of UFOs. You get only ONE. Not two. ONE. What if you like to blow stuff up like me? You will end up on your own. Any self-respecting space-faring race should have an army of soldiers! Lots of cities? Drop a coupla transporters! 2000 soldiers, ready to blow stuff up for you. Getting blown up a lot? go under water! Activate Submersible Mode and hide in a cave!

In Galactic Adventures you may have armies of you and your allies, along with vehicles. Wormulon 20:56, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Mini-U[]

Does the Mini-U ability bump one of the ships out of your fleet? Say I have my ship, plus 5 other alien allies. If I activate Summon Mini-U, will one of the 5 ships have to leave? Or will it stack - ie, my ship, the 5 allied ships, and the Mini-U?

No unfortunately you can't have 5 allies and your Mini-U ship. Wormulon 17:39, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

You can't? Wow. I didn't know that. Thanks, TimeMaster Talk Main Contribs 20:50, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
I tested it, but it did not work. Wormulon 20:54, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Maybe you should add it to the page, then. Thanks, TimeMaster Talk Main Contribs 20:55, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Super fleet[]

Try this!

  • Make your ship look like a fleet
  • Have 5 allies
  • Use the Raider Rally ability if you have one
  • Ask an ally to attack a planet you are about to capture

You will then have a large fleet of warships, may your enemies tremble beneath your mighty space navy! Wormulon 17:44, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Lol! I should try than soon, you should also put that on your userpage. Thanks, TimeMaster Talk Main Contribs 20:28, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Fleet Size[]

I've removed an edit which says that you can have a fleet with six allies if you use the Mini-U. The reason why I did this is because, and I've found this out through trying it for myself, that if all 5 ally slots for your fleet are filled, the Mini-U ability is disabled. I'll try to get a screenshot of this for myself to prove that, but nonetheless I'm pretty sure that you can't have any more than five other ships travelling with yours without hacks or mods. ChrisGJ777 18:55, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

You are right. Wormulon 19:35, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Well, it is best to make sure anyway. The main reason I put this up here is because I've removed such an edit twice, the second time after someone had undone my first removal, and I don't really want to start an edit war. So, I'll play, try capture a snapshot of a full fleet and the weapons console of my Knight Empire and see if the Mini-U tool is greyed out. ChrisGJ777 19:42, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

I tend to undo things that don't make sense to me because I don't play every day any more. That doesn't make sense that you can't use mini-u just because you have 5 ships. But that's confirmed--so sorry about that XD —Preceding signed comment added by TimeMaster (talkcontribs) 00:25, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
