Player Planets[]

If you make 2 files on different planets then one goes onto the space age it can find the other one. You can't destroy the other file's home world but you can go to war with the empire and its allies.I dont know if you can destroy colonies or if you can somehow win the war without destroying the home colony, it's confusing and I need info.

Move[]

This article should be moved to Planet, according to the Wikipedia naming conventions (See SporeWiki:Cleanup)

Help?[]

I deleted a game on a planet and it blew up. Will it come back? 98.157.216.254 08:57, 2 July 2009 (UTC) PLEASE RESPOND: on some players home (galaxy) screen they have like,20 open planets or Saved files, if you delete a planet and it doesent come back...how did they get so many files/saves/open files on their home screen? Take a look at YouTube and Slaya49's spore vids there are AT LEAST 4 open or saved games on each arm of the galaxy. RESPOND AS SOON AS YOU CAN BY EDITING THIS SECTON WITH YOU ANSER UNDERNEATH THIS. Thank you

This happens every time you delete a planet, it will not come back but likely your species living on it will turn up as it is (normally) in the Sporepedia. ThePog 13:28, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

shall i tell you what would make my spore game the best?[]

adding this hypergiant into the game: just for display purposes.

Sunvycomp-735426

the little yellow dot is our sun

after my 1st glance i thought omg imagine this on spore!.

The bigger star on that pic is Canis Majoris, the largest star known! It would be cool if hyergiants existed in Spore. 88.105.118.126 19:36, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Renaming non-native planets[]

Can you rename a planet that you've occupied using the Coloniser? ThePog 13:29, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

yes. I don't know it right off the top of my head, but it's in the console commands. Sporeblade 04:09, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

I would be greatly appreciative if you could post it here. Thanks in advance! ThePog 06:36, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Press Ctrl+Shift+C at the same time and hover over the planet you want to rename. Type in rename planet .... The new name goes where the dots were. All of this was found here on the Sporewiki: http://spore.wikia.com/wiki/Cheats Sporeblade 02:18, January 28, 2010 (UTC)

Planet "theme songs"[]

I've noticed that different ambient music plays on different types of (usually T-0) planets. I've only noticed this on Lava planets and Rocky planets. 73h1337n00b 21:25, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

I've noticed that too. Although I've never really taken the time to stop and listen to the songs, I think T-0 planets have a very, very calm theme. Kind of what you'd expect to hear on a barren moon. Catianda 04:16, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Can Planets change or new ones form in the game whilst the player has colonised another planet within that solar system?[]

Reasons:

Since playing this game ive noticed some of my solar systems have got larger (ie more planets within them) Since playing ive noticed leaving a forest planet alone creates new creatures without interfering. Since playing, i think i have seen a planet change terraform on its own.

Can this be true? or is it a glitch?

Thanks. 86.176.205.33 14:42, December 20, 2011 (UTC) [created account HumanRejection 19:22, December 20, 2011 (UTC)]

I'm fairly certain new planets spawn every so often. As to planets terraforming on their own, I've heard of them degrading naturally, but not improving (i.e. animals appearing with no actions on behalf of the player), but it might be possible. -This message by Spriggs077, a.k.a. Thanks, I ran a test yesterday i popped down only flora (trees) in t1 so it stablised the terraform. I have played since then 6 hours game time and when i went back to said planet it created two herbivores. So i am wondering if i play another 6 hours (or say 12 hours if it takes longer like that) if a carnivore/omnivore will spawn. Then again another 12/24 hours that t1 goes to t2. I only asked as i noticed i had 3 planets in my home star at the start of my space stage, came back from a long journey conquering (now over 50 stars) and i had 8 planets...with all terraforms as 2 except one that had 0. It fancinates me as if you play long enough the game always changes just what it will be like when earth gets to that stage... :) Thanks for answering btw. Player-created planets in the devolement version of Spore[]

I heavily reworked the Player-Created Planets sub-section, so that it focused on the released game and not the development version. In the process I removed most of the information about the development version. I don't know how (or even if) we want to fit the information about the development version into this article, but I'm leaving the old version of the sub-section (from revision 620387) here. This way if someone wants to add info about Player-created planets in the development version of Spore, he won't need to start from scratch or dig through the edit history:

At E3 2006, Will Wright announced that players would be able to customize planets, making modifications to the terrain, the colours of the land and water, the climate, and so on. Presumably these types of planets would then be uploaded to the server and spread through the content pollination system similar to the method by which creatures, buildings and flora are distributed. However in the released game players can't even modify existing planets. A planet editor is yet to be seen in Spore. However, Spore Galactic Adventures has a planet that could be shared with other planets. Planets can be slightly edited by using planet sculpting tools or painting tools.
