"It could be possible that another character's creature could be at a point where they can come and visit your creature from space. This could be shown in the game one of two ways. First being a "non-natural disaster" that will add to some difficulty. Second being simmilar to The Sims and The Sims 2 in that it is a "random card" where you have two options and a good thing (i.e. free resources) or a bad thing (i.e. the forementioned "non-natural disaster") to happen."

I am almost certain it has been said that there will be no civilizations beyond where you are technologically, so isn't this impossible? Mason11987 (Talk - Contributions) 21:23, 10 February 2006 (PST)

Well, that is why this is marked with the speculation tag, right? I do not think it has ever been confirmed, yet at least. -Yossitaru 22:44, 10 February 2006 (PST)
It hasn't been confirmed as false though? I'll have to dig for that info but I'm pretty sure it was confirmed as false already, and confirmed falsehoods don't deserve their own article, they deserve a negative mention in another article, like if this was actually confirmed false it should go in the Multi-player article or something like that when it states that you will never be inferior technologically. Mason11987 (Talk - Contributions) 23:09, 10 February 2006 (PST)
If it has, then I guess I didn't see that info anywhere. Either way, it is a bit far-fetched with Wright's ideas -Yossitaru 23:20, 10 February 2006 (PST)
i think in the gaming steve article he mentioned that there's no alien contact until you get the galactic drive--Tehwalrus 16:34, 16 May 2006 (PDT)
He said you wouldn't encounter life about creature phase until you get to galactic travel. -- Mason11987 (Talk - Contributions) 16:54, 16 May 2006 (PDT)

Deletion[]

We should delete this page. It is out of date, and most of what is in here is on the war page. The articles tend to ramble on, also. Poisson14 02:43, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

I think the page just needs some work, it does ramble on, but alien encounters in creature, tribe and space stages is a factor of gameplay in Spore. Wormulon 15:00, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

I agree, I want to update it. —Preceding signed comment added by TimeMaster (talkcontribs) 15:03, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

To add to my previous comment, it also seems to mostly talk about war in the civilization stage. Poisson14 17:39, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

"Frustration... updation... you know how players get" :-) I vote that we either merge or update the article, because it is still a little out of date.

Ambox outdated serious.svg This user is amazed that there is still outdated information from before Spore was released. Come on you guys!

Hey, I made that box! :D Poisson14 16:49, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

I move (and vote) for deletion. D34THROW 02:01, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

non-deletion[]

I think it should not be deleted because of historic reasons.Monster2821 15:02, 11 July 2009 (UTC)monster2821Monster2821 15:02, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Is it annoying?[]

Does it ever get annoying when you get a distress call from a colony being invaded in an inconvenient time? For example, when you're in the mddle of conquering a planet or destroying another empire?

Moving[]

I for one think that this page should be moved to simply Invasion. As it is not alien invasion in Tribal Stage and Civilization Stage.--Cyrannian This has happened before... 13:06, October 27, 2010 (UTC)

Agreed, "Alien invasion" is hard to search for--TaldarPic Technobliterator TC 13:07, October 27, 2010 (UTC)
