Testing Epics Vs. Meteorites[]
- I need someone to test if an Epic can survive a meteor shower (in Creature stage) if one hits them. If someone has had an Epic die via meteor, please tell me here and I will edit the wiki accordingly. Also, include the number of meteorites it took to take one down, and a bit about the likelyhood of a shower killing an epic. Thank you for your time.
Well in the creature stage its possible, but unlikley, but it sure does in space! 159.250.29.4 15:10, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Well, I was using the new human that I made, and while running from an epic, a metior shower hit. I think the epic got hit once, and it did one damage. I doubt that it was another creature, because it continued to chase me. Hope this helps. 72.35.108.17 01:11, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Post signatory: Also, an epic stomp does 900 damage. I saw two epics fighting eachother with full health, and then one did the stomping animation, and the other was down to 100. From The same user as before
I saw an Epic Fight once, no stomping however.-81.157.51.80 11:31, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Will using the Supersizer on an Epic in the Space Stage make the epic the size of a normal supersized creature or make it even bigger? --Fegaxeyl 16:10, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
In the space stage of the game, I was visiting one of the local zealot's planets and a giant blue slug was in the middle of their city, breathing fire. Sweartagod. I waited until it destroyed the city, then zapped it with my minilaser to see it had 1000 hp. Don't remember what the species was, but it was cute, unnervingly so. I don't remember being able to do that. -Nonmember
Fegaxeyl, It just duplicates the epic, i had fun with this and once made 15 or so epic Screebles on a wildlife sanctuary, i got one to throw my holo scout in water XD. 159.250.29.4 13:33, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Requirements for an Epic?[]
I read somewhere (in the Sporum maybe) that a creature had to specific levels of attack attributes before it could become epicized. Can anyone provide more info and added to this article? BlankVerse 00:59, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- Im not completly sure, but i think most Epics require a good Strike level... Gyromite 08:08, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Actually, specific levels of attack and social are only required to make a creature become a Rogue Creature. As for Epics, absolutely any creature can become one. ANY creature can be epicized.(Furby98 19:44, 3 February 2009 (UTC))
- I think the only requirement for an Epic is that the creature must be carnivore or omnivore. I saw this on the official site. OluapPlayer 11:18, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- You're right...Aside from ones I've Supersized myself, I can't recall ever seeing herbivores as Epic Creatures. (I think the game does have a preference for ones with high attack skills, but I might be wrong.) Tigress Dragonblade 13:48, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
I've seen many herbavore epics, so unles they had a canivore/omnivore mouth hidden, that means epics can can be anything 12.32.58.75 15:43, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
I've also seen herbivorous epics.Liquid Ink 27 July 2009
I think it has to have both hands and feet. You know, to stepon creatures ang grab them? DaLucaray Rox ur Sox 17:00, February 15, 2010 (UTC)DaLucaray
So where do Epics come from?[]
the title explains itself TheCreaturenator16 05:03, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

My creatures killed an epic!!!!!
I think that Epics are basically the dinosaurs of spore, so I think they evolve from mini epics?
re:where do epic s come from?[]
answer: any one of your creatures can be an epic but the game makes them an epic.
or
answer2: they are extremly smaller versions of those giant bones.
hope this helps

- "any one of your creatures can be an epic but the game makes them an epic."
Actually, any creature can be an epic, it doesn't have to be your own. Epics are created at the start of the stage just like normal nests. GeneralShroom 15:19, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
I have a theroy: when the hyper-epics died, the other creatures saw dead animals everywhere. this caused them to become much larger. submited 15:32 4/2/10.
Seeing larger creatures made them larger? That makes no sense. It's far more likely that there were large creatures that evolved from the cells, and they evolved to be so large that there was no chance of them being taken down. As the creatures got bigger (You adding more parts), they got bigger, and eventually ended up as the Epic creatures we know. 14:35, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps they are the victims of gigantism, a condition that makes the victim grow extremely tall. Or maybe they are the offspring of hyper-epics that have survived a mass extinction. TheHachi (talk 14:37, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I think the Grox used the Supersizer to grow them.24.159.4.78 15:38, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
Frightened Epic[]
I was in space stage with my hologram scout on a planet, and a herbivorous epic walked there. But, when I approached the epic with my (carnivorous) scout, it went screaming and tried to run away! It was really frightened. Has anybody else something like this?
- Nope. Herbivorous epics actually try to eat my carnivorous hologram. Was your epic a supersized one? OluapPlayer 15:13, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- it probaly was scared because even though its a epic it didnt like you killing their species i seen this in the video on YouTube A Visit To The Zoo when this spore captain from spore galatic adventures goes into this exhibit with this Parsauralouphus and the captain attacked it and it squealed in the epics roar "RRRROOOOOAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!" and ran away!
Mayby you supersised it? DaLucaray Rox ur Sox 16:58, February 15, 2010 (UTC)DaLucaray
socializing epics[]
can u socialize with an epic if you have befriended a rogue version of it, or does it have to be normal? i allied with a rogue jaron, then tried to socialize with an epic jaron, and it killed me. then i got the rogue in my pack, and tried to socialize with the epic, and it killed me again!
Epic supersizing: what trying to do it does.[]
Media:Example.oggreplying to the question if supersizing an epic you make in space stage makes it bigger. i tried it. supersize an epic, and it does nothing. all it does(but this can be a good thing , vise versa.useful but i recommend using a force field becuase your space ship will startle the epics who then breath target following fire.
New Glitch???[]
I don't know if this is a glitch or not, but I just started a new file this morning in order to become a Zealot in the space stage. Anyways, I was about half way done with the creature stage and I found an epic gaurding some large bones. I had two allies with me. I got the bones but as I tried to get away from the epic, It shot down my allies with fireballs! Aren't epics not suposed to do that until the Civ and Space Stage!? Is it worth writing on the article???
- Yes that's worth going on the article and Glitches page. —Preceding signed comment added by TimeMaster (talk • contribs) 18:16, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
Sure it wasn't Epic-spit?
Has anyone ever actually killed an epic?[]
I've killed 2 in the same game to kill an epic, lure it to your nest and the nest mates should (NOTE:not always) attack.(:
- Yeah i have killed one epic, all i needed was a full brain capacity so i had 100 HP, strike 4, Spit 5, Bite 4 and charge 4 :D
Sporesauce 95 13:05, March 29, 2010 (UTC)
i have but mostly it was weakend by another epic. hears the funny thing it was my first game of spore
I've never killed an epic in Creature, but I've killed one in Tribal Stage with all Throwing Spears. Loofre 11:44, November 13, 2010 (UTC)
i have killed 5 epics in spore befor, get the best atacks (level 5 everything) and lure it to your nest and every time you die you will respawn and the epic will still be there so keep on attacking and it will eventually die. Your nest members will also help.
Friendly Epic Encounters[]
Now, has anyone else encountered this before? I was playing one of my space stage species when I encountered an earlier evolution of my creature on a planet I visited. After finding them, I abducted a few specimens and placed them in a wildlife sanctuary, whereupon I decided to super-size an individual. After moving my ship to a safe distance, I sent down a hologram scout, wandered over to where the nest site was and the epic, instead of the usual growling and throwing the scout around, instead just stood there and waved at the hologram, as did the normal sized versions. Apparently if one of your space stage creatures encounters a non-sentient earlier evolution of itself on another planet, the other creature will be friendly towards the one you're controlling. ChrisGJ777 10:34, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
I've met friendly ones occasionally, but I think its glitch of some kind (did you ally with the non-epic version of the creature somewhere in your game)? Wormulon Talk to me 16:22, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
- What your describing is probably not a glitch, but if you ever find a friendly epic you didn't ally with in a previous stage, its a glitch. There is also no reason why you need to turn the text colour green, just saying.
Wormulon Talk to me 19:49, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
@Wormulon: Actually, as I said, I had epicised an earlier form of the creature I was playing. I'm guessing that somehow the game picked up on this so when I took my hologram scout to where the nest and epic were, it saw that for all intents and purposes, despite my creature looking different, it treated them both as the same species (which for all intents and purposes, they were, just at different stages of evolution). ChrisGJ777 21:39, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
- When i was playing as the Xhonoctrosaurus i met a friendly epic Grozimal, most likely because i had allied a rouge Grozimal in the creature stage. It was fun seeing a thing that large just wave at me and smile...

epic health increase[]
the game never says why epics come from 1000 to 3000 health. here's what I think: your city doesn't know any better, and it starts dumping toxic waste onto the planet. animals die, but epics can withstand (they can withstand T-0 planets after all) and thrive on the waste, changing them from 1000 to 3000. submited 15:38 4/2/10.
Look at my comment in the above section. My theory of the Epics growing larger relative to their prey would also agree with the health differences, as they get bigger if they eat larger prey and don't grow so big if they eat smaller creatures. 14:40, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
Epics Are Cool[]
Do you like Epics?
- I like them!--Deoxy99 03:50, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
- I only like the friendly ones, and that means i dislike 98% of all epics
Sporesauce 95 13:04, March 29, 2010 (UTC)
Epic Vehicles[]
Occasionaly when playing in the space stage, all the vehicles would transform into epic creatures. It's especially funny seeing the flying vehicles. They have bands of color on them which match the color of their empire.Retep998 22:27, August 17, 2010 (UTC)
Question[]
Could a player-created creature become an epic? --Pinguinus 03:31, July 15, 2011 (UTC)
Is anyone here to answer? --Pinguinus impennis 22:00, August 12, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes; of course player-created creatures can become epics, just like they can become any other sort of creature.
Ghelae - (talk) 07:05, August 13, 2011 (UTC)
It's Raining Epics![]
On one of my Civilazation files, I saw 6 epics scattered along the planet... I killed them all and I had to re-purchase roughly 10 vehicles to kill em all. New or Old glitch?
- Which part of that is supposed to be a glitch? Six Epics is about as many as you should get in a Civ Stage game, but it's not unusual.
Ghelae - (talk) 15:17, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
Healing Aura[]
I had finished the Civilization stage and was fooling around when I found an Epic. Just for fun, I decided to launch a Healing Aura at it. I am not making this up: the Epic went down to 1 health. Then it shook around and went right back to 3000. Go and test it if you don't believe me. Is this a glitch? 96.48.116.194 01:30, December 23, 2011 (UTC)
Creature Stage Thingy![]
The creature stage thing? I got it to happen LOL How it started: There was a dead carnivore near my nest, so when I found their species they were Curious. I befriended them and GUESS WHAT? The epic. I could social its non-epic family and it would be my friend... It was derpy...\

Epic Easter Egg Or Glitch?[]
Ok, so something weird happened one time when an epic killed my creature. After it killed my creature, the epic made a crying or whining sound and then picked up my creature. Then, instead of the cut scene of my creature being reborn out of an egg, I got a cutscene of something that looked like some kind of womb. This sounds absurd, I know, but it's true. I wish I'd gotten a screenshot of that. It was so weird. Is this an easter egg or a glitch?
~ Tass
I'm 100% sure that is a lie.
