The Synergizer is a captain accessory and social tool in the Captain Outfitter in Spore Galactic Adventures. It is the third social tool unlocked in the Bard row of items.
Design[]
The Synergizer is a small, gold guilded device. It has two "buttons" at the front of the device, which slowly blink on and off, the left light being red and the right light being red. On the upper side of the device is three horns connected by light gray trim.
As the Synergizer has its level increased, the size of the horns increase in size. The horns on the left and right begin being straight, pointing up vertically in alignment with each other and the middle horn. Increasing power causes the left and right horns to begin bending towards the left and right, rather than remaining vertical.
When activating the Holo Charm ability, the captain will tap their chest to activate the Synergizer, producing both a glowing pattern on the ground, as well as a holographic orb. The glowing pattern on the ground increases in complexity with each level. As the level of the Synergizer increases, the captain is able to interact with the orb with greater capacity, starting with no interaction, to Level 2 tossing it straight upwards, and Level 3 having the orb spiral around as it rises.
Role[]
When equipped, the Synergizer replaces the Captain's Charm ability with Holo Charm. Holo Charm at Level One and can be increased using the orange morphology slider when selected in the Captain Outfitter. It is used in response to Charm prompts during socialization with another creature.

- Level 2

- Level 3
- Charm Power: 14

Strategy[]
With so much Charm, the Synergizer is able to put in significant work for most sociable creatures during Adventures. Even at Level one, it is able to satisfy all other Creature Stage species, and ties with the Diplomat's Regal Ring. Against creatures with a minor Charm effect, the Synergizer can take advantage and complete socialization in record time.
The best application for all the Bard tools is relegated to player-generated Galactic Adventures, as the Maxis-made Campaign Adventures only feature socialization in one adventure, that being in Concert in the Park.
Specializing into Charm is a nice niche, not being guaranteed like Singing, but having many different lines of Detail parts to check against. Without the need to also have a pair of arms or legs, it certainly cements Charm as an accessible and common social skill to encounter in the wild. What may hurt the Synergizer is its power and the energy cost, being a tight race against the Regal Ring. While the Synergizer is able to win out over the Regal Ring, the Ring is able to cover all the social needs of vanilla creatures, with the added benefit of not costing energy.
Both Synergizer and Regal Ring replace the Charm skill, meaning if both are equipped, the Synergizer will be prioritized and the Regal Ring will do nothing.
