The Sporum was the official forum for Spore. It was powered by PHPbb and is designed to discuss about the game.
On July 10, 2018, the Sporum moderator, MaxisBazajaytee, has announced that Sporum would be relocating to the newer forum - EA Answers HQ, and will be switched to the read-only mode on August 15, 2018. The Sporum remained open for everyone to visit but will be kept in read-only mode, preventing any users to post or reply to the topics.[1]
On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, the Sporum switched to be read-only and will remain so for a period of time before it closes down for eternity. So far, there are over 79,424 topics, 4,088,801 messages, and 100,022 registered users on the site.
In April 2019, the Sporum site—as a whole—closed down entirely. When accessing the site, it redirects to the newer forum (EA Answers HQ) instead.
