The Grox Empire was the name given to the state which the species of the Grob established over their millions of years of existence. Originating near the galactic core of Andromeda, at its height the Empire controlled a significant portion of the Gigaquadrant and was widely believed to be one of the most powerful empires in existence. The Grox were characterized by the cybernetics and modifications which they used to enhance or replace their limbs, and their aggressive xenophobia. The Empire lasted several million years, fluctuating between a hyperpower requiring the combined forces of some of the Gigaquadrant's premiere powers to curb their goal of Gigaquadrantic domination to rogue remnants that would eventually re-organize themselves back into the Empire. The Grox and their Empire would fall, presumably for good, at the hands of the Apalos and the Salsetthe Republic, with The Civilisation absorbing the Empire. Remnants of the Grox, though not directly related to the Empire, continue to exist and flourish in the case of the Quadrantia Grox, and debatably the Grox Grand Dominion.
