Planetary Threats are hazardous events that occur on planets, dealing damage to the player's ship should they come into contact with them. When your ship is damaged by threats, a sound warns you of the damage.
Fire Jet[]
Fire Jets commonly appear on T0 planets with high temperature. They deal minor damage.

Electric Storm[]
Electric Storms commonly appear on T0 planets with high atmosphere. It appears as a small thunderstorm on the planet. They deal a very large amount of damage, able to destroy a ship from full health.
Meteor Showers[]
Meteor Showers appear on T0 planets with low atmosphere. Since they play a sound before appearing, they can be easily avoided.
Rock Geysers[]
Rock Geysers commonly appear on T0 planets with low atmosphere. They're more common than Meteor Showers and deal less damage.
Ice Geysers[]
Ice Geysers commonly appear on T0 planets with low temperature. They are identical to Rock Geysers, but made of ice instead of rock.
An Ice Geyser.
Fire Storms[]
Fire Storms may appear above Fire Jets. If the planet has both a high atmosphere and temperature, larger Fire Storms will appear without Fire Jets. They last much longer and move around.

Whirlwinds[]
Whirlwinds are commonly found on T0 planets with high atmosphere. They only appear above the water.
Volcanoes[]
Sometimes there is a volcano on a player's homeworld or by using the volcano tool. Flying into a volcano only causes minor damage.

Artificial disasters[]
Many disasters can be caused by your spaceship, such as ignoring disasters and meddling with the Terrascore.
Flooding[]
Using Terrasculpting tools that add bodies of water or atmospheric generators can flood cities. This gives you a negative relation bonus with that empire.
WMDs[]
Using the Gravitation Wave destroys all cities and settlements on a planet. Antimatter Bombs, ICBMs and Mega Bombs can cause mass destruction to cities, destroying them completely in many cases. Nuclear weapons can also leave radioactive waste pollution behind in cities that can last a long time.
GA[]
Lightning[]
In addition to electric storms, lightning storms can also occur. There is always a warning in the form of a blue circle on the ground. If you see it, move quickly to not get shocked.
Getting run over[]
This can be observed in the civilization and space stages as well as adventures. In the Civ and Space stages, creatures who happen to be in a vehicle's path will die upon said vehicle reaching the creature's position. This does not happen to Epics. In GA, not only can this kill a creature instantly regardless of how much health it has, it can also kill Epics.
Lava[]
Lava pits deal minor damage, and if walked over quickly enough, the player can avoid damage. Sometimes, the player can trick an enemy into falling into a lava pit. If a creature dies in lava (the replacement for water on hot planets, not the small pits), they will perform a humorous death sequence in which they scream and flap their arms and sink into the lava. A few seconds later, they will leap back out of the lava and scream and flap their arms some more, and then be gone completely.
