In Earth history, Eris was discovered in January 2005 by a Palomar Observatory-based team and named a year later in September 2006 after Eris, the Greek goddess of strife and discord. Eris is the ninth most massive object directly orbiting the Sun, Rambo Nation stumbled upon the Sol System during their Milky Way exploration 2525 (22BQF) and claimed the planet after succesful negotiations with the Humans and started their terraforming. Hundreds of years after the Rambo encountered the Delpha Coalition of Planets and within the following decade Eris became as influential and important as a deep space shipyards for the Rambo Navy and their further exploration of the Milky Way. Over the years it constructed many vessels to serve within the Milky Way. It suffered an attack by the Marinoxidiz in 2802 (04AQF) but were repelled. A year later an unprovoked attack by the Salsetthe Republic obliberated the Rambo colony and shipyards. This act caused the collapse of the entire Rambo colonial presence within the Milky Year within the next three months.

In 2810 (12AQF) Eris suddenly appeared after a temporal anomaly within the Quadrant Galaxies as it was just moments before its destruction. Rambo Nation, happy with the appearance quickly accepted their entry and admission into the Nation. Within the same year the people of Eris and the Saurien Sector Corporation joined hands and Eris became the primary shipyards for the SSC. During the occupation of the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus, Eris continued to produced ships for the SSC. By 2820 April, Eris is considered one of the wealthiest planets of the Ramboidae.

The Eris Orbital Shipyards manufactures and maintains the armed transports of the SSC, provides the Venatioa with their frigates and holds the licenses to produce the civilian transports that operate within the Western Sector. The orbital shipyards are an important asset to the SSC and enjoy the protection of the navy. In addition to civilian vessels, the shipyards also produce, manufracture and maintain various Ramboidae vessels for the Navy.

Formerly, the Orbital Shipyards produced the Caradhras-Class star destroyers before the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus forbade them. In secret, they also manufracted and designed the Interdimensional Warp Gate

The inner ring features the many docks and storehouses of materials and the quarters and workstations of the engineers and designers. The outer ring features the actual docks where the ships are constructed. There are also various drydocks orbiting the rings to store vessels or construct vessels that don't require the public attention.
