Derod is the homeworld to the Derodrian Republic located in the Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy.
Enviroment[]
Acornia is a very mountainous planet. Half of the planet is covered in snowy mountains. All of the water is fresh water, and most of it is locked away in the glaciers on the planet. There are lots of Acourna plants that grow here and it is the main food source of the inhabitants of Acornia. There are also many rocky cliffs and steep volcanoes, which are hotspots for activity.
Fauna[]
Acornia has a vast variety of wildlife, the most notable being the Acornians themselves. They have learned to cope and adapt to these freezing conditions. Over the years, these creatures have formed many adaptations, like being able to be frozen, or a large fur coat. There are mostly small mammals in the mountainous regions that make up half the planet. On the other side of the planet, most of the planet is hilly plains or thick forests, as there is a more abundant source of food, the life can get very large, the largest being the Giant Jorvuus. A majority of land dwelling life is either omnivorous or herbivorous, as the most abundant food are the flora of this world. The waters are inhabited by mollusks, fish, and crustaceans, and they are normally found near Geo-thermal vents below the vast fresh-water seas.
Flora[]
The flora on Acornia are conifers, shrubs, and different types of mosses and algae. Because of the low gravity on this planet, the flora can grow to be huge. The trees could rise high into the air, some as tall as one kilometer. The low gravity also means larger produce, thus, many Acornians are farmers. Larger food also means the creatures of this world can grow to astounding sizes.
