Chassai, also known as Kasāi, is an arid rocky planet orbiting a Sun-like star Tara. Chassai has 2 natural satellites: Albakon and Tirtinus, both of which have been colonized by the Chassaians, a civilization native to the planet. Most of its surface is dominated by vast deserts, massive plateaus and mountain ranges, with little arable land located between them.
The planet, as well as other celestial bodies in Tara-Chassai system, is around 3.7 billion years old. The oldest evidence of life on its surface dates back to around 760 million years after Chassai's formation. Its biosphere originates from watery environments, however nowadays bodies of water contribute little to the planet's surface.
