Amarras is a planet in the Inner Rim of the Cyrannus Galaxy on which the Ssissh evolved on. A planet mainly dominated by vast desert with only one sea, there are very few species on the planet. The more carnivorous of the species either live in the lake or near it. Formerly the center of the Ssissh Empire, it stayed like that until it was invaded by the Ahsokr Empire as a temporary capital planet until they find one more suitable.

History[]

Prehistory[]

Early in the evolutionary history of the Ssissh, about seventy-one percent of the planet was covered with water, with the species being more diverse in the water than the land. However, during this time the greatest mass extinction in the history of the planet occurred. The extinction started when several super volcanos in the southwestern parts of the planet erupted. Most of the marine life was wiped out and the oceans started to recede so most species started moving to the land. After the second greatest mass extinction happened, all oceans disappeared with only one sea left. The Ssissh had to adapt so they built their cities very close to the sea and how to survive for long times without water.

Civilized Life[]

As the Ssissh became sentient, they would stay near the sea at all times. Since most of the sea is surrounded by mountains, they had to build either aqueducts over the mountains or dig tunnels through them to the city. They would stay like this until they learned how to change the weather patterns and discovered a large amount of water hidden under the surface. Despite these technological advances, the Ssissh did not terraform the planet, for the water source was under one civilization, so the others tried to make water sufficient in only their area, causing water to be even scarcer. The Ssissh were a divided race, constantly going to war with each other. Then, after one giant war that nearly caused the Ssissh to go extinct, they finally realized their faults and united into one nation spanning the habitable parts of the planet. Despite their best efforts, for some reason could not terraform the planet and as such gave up on it.

Reaching Space[]

After the Ssissh reached space, they realized that there were a lot more species than they expected, so they conquered species after species. After they had about seventeen planets under their controlled, they became the Ssissh Empire. They lasted for about thirty-four years before they dissolved into several planet-states that went into another period of war. They stayed like this until the wife of Emperor Odov, Benaohs left the planet-state in control of Amarras, joined the Ahsokr Empire and then commanded an invasion of Amarras. After the invasion Benaohs claimed herself as the first Empress of Amarras. Though she controlled all activities on Amarras apart from military actions, she was still a vassal of Jekad. Ssissh on the planet are currently feeling rebellious towards the Empress and the Ahsokr Empire and a few attempts at rebellion have been made.

Inhabitants[]

Due to Amarras' nearly inhospitable environment, few other species go to Amarras. However, after the Ssissh had many slave races, the population slightly increased because of the majority of slaves that were now on the planet. The Emperor rules from the city of Amarras, a city on the mountains surrounding the sea and around the mountains. There are a few lifeforms, such as the Skeen, Agats and the Histe also live on the planet.
