Description[]
Mushroom Valley is a land with lush green and yellow coloration, with a couple of hills, plentiful huge mushrooms, and giant roots. The east, mostly inhabited by Meejees, features a hill with the nest where Sporeling was born, including the fruit tree in front of it. Beneath the hill, is the cave entrance which leads to another hill at the north behind the waterfall where Babbit and two Meejees reside.
The east is mostly inhabited by Spikee tribe and has an open plot of land where the Beast wanders, and Beauty who hides beneath the large roots that she cannot recognize until he is reconstructed to his true form. To the left, there is a path that leads to the blocked entrance by Bakkara protecting from the giant creature's boulders. Entering the entrance will initiate a racing minigame through the tunnel that leads to the valley's famous hills. Further to the east, is occupied by Spikees' tribe on the hill, including the entrance to the Ancient Grounds to the left and the ledge to the right where Munchy is found. Through the passage, Pikee is found which is initially corrupted by the red meteor, and to the right is the tunnel with another ledge that leads to the entrance to Mushroom Grove.
Story[]
Sporeling finds itself in the Mushroom Valley, where it learns how to use a nest and other basic living essentials from Meejee. It also learns how to fight another of Meejee's Tribe, Espee. After talking to them, Sporeling meets with the Big Chief of Meejee's Tribe. Before Sporeling gets a chance to talk to him, Zarkhator appears and attempts to crush it with a red meteor. However, he misses hitting the Sporeling with a red meteor and instead lands next to Sporeling and Big Chief, which corrupts the Big Chief.
Sporeling then destroys the red meteor, and Big Chief asks the Sporeling's name, upon the naming, it is rewarded with an ancient idol piece. Sporeling is told to take the ancient idol parts to the Sage in the Ancient Grounds, however, Meejee prevents Sporeling from entering and tells it to cure the Spikees, a tribe that are friends with Meejee's tribe, from the influence of the Red meteor. Trivia[]
- If the player goes into the creature editor before the cutscene of Meejee giving the fruit to them plays. A message will show up on screen telling the player that the save file has been corrupted, the player will then have the option to either continue the rest of the game without saving or immediately delete the file. It is very likely that this happens because the game does not expect players to go into the creature editor before the cutscene.
- During the Babbit Side Quest, you can instantly make the babbit full simply by holding 4 fruit to make the Quest end faster.
- It is possible to jump on the mushroom that mordok jumps on before The Mean, Mean Babbit sidequest, is even completed, this can be achieved simply by using feet that give the player the ability to double jump.
- The music track that plays when the player exits the creator with their mouth for the first time has a random chance of causing a glitch where that track loops throughout the game play, this can be fixed by going back into the creature editor
- Beast and Beauty's names are a reference to the classic story of Beauty and The Beast
- Walakah's location during the Hide And Seek Side Quest is random every time you start the game.
