The Moon is Earth's moon, the third planet in the Sol System in Spore. It is rocky world, with grey, level terrain covered in craters, with mild temperature and low atmosphere. It is found as an easter egg.
Maxis also published an adventure template with the Moon's terrain as part of a contest commemorating the Apollo Moon landings.[1]

- The Moon is a rare crater world.
- If the Planet buster is deployed on Earth, the Moon is also destroyed.
- Unlike the real Moon, the in-game version is not tidally locked to Earth. (Being tidally locked means one side of the Moon always faces Earth, because the Moon takes about the same time to rotate as it does to orbit Earth). The Moon is also the same size as Earth and only looks smaller than it in the system view due to a visual effect, just like happens with any moon in the game.
