  • In order to eliminate conflict with a real-life taxon, your creature(s) within Sicklidae are going to be reclassified. This is an approved action, and I am notifying all users active in the past year who are affected.

  • Hey, I'm looking to create a new character, and was looking to make them a Psionic. I was hoping I could get your blessing (or at least approval) on the matter.

Likely a TIoA Teyan, or an Ankoran.

    • Interesting. How do the others treat him given the fact he's psionic? The Civatrons have a record of fighting Spode Zealots in their origin story, having deemed psionic energy blasphemy. How does your fiction's religion affect him and his powers?

        Loading editor
    • I'm still working on those details, but my current idea is that he personally views his powers as a gift from Spode; Ankoran Spodism is quite contrasting to other sects of the faith, and could be considered heretics by many. So it doesn't really seem all that far fetched to me that they might see things like Essence as a gift from their god, whereas others would burn them for witchcraft.

  • Howdy there! Since you don't seem to be excessively active on the Discord, I thought it would be better if I just asked you on the message wall.

What I wanted to ask is if the Naralhi dynasty - the Dynastic Systems ruling family - could naturally be capable of using psionic energy. The signature weapon of the Naralhi Dynasts, the Sabhr'vraekus, is supposed to be an extremely adaptive nanofog that was used by directing it with the mind of the user. I planned for it using psionic energy to function and make the control over it easier. Since you stated it was free to use in the message below mine, I'm going to say it does - are you alright with that?

      Loading editor
    • Most definitely. It is largely stated that the psionic energy can be used by everybody as an evolutive mutation, transfusion or ascendancy. However, if you want them to be extremely powerful psionic users (like my fiction, where they materialize physical objects, psi-blades and basically all their technology based on psionic energy) then I only ask that you tie in your fiction to the Krassio or the Xol'Etra in a way that that usage is possible since my fiction represents the peak-condition of psionic users.

If you're interested maybe we can tie it in together.

      Cheers!

    • Sounds good. Over the weekend we can definitely discuss a connection with the Xol’Etra!

  • Is it okay if my fiction worships the Xol'Etra as gods? And have some control over Psionic energy?

  • Hi there Valader!

The SporeWiki community has all but completely moved from IRC to a Discord server. I just thought you should know should you return and find nobody on IRC and think the community has died, when we're all chilling over on Discord.

Of course if you prefer not to use Discord you can message us on the wiki and get us on IRC, but Discord is better in every respect.

  • Hello! I was trying to upload a photo for my planet on the editor page, but it seems to just pull up a blank, white window that I can't really do much with. If I could get a bit of help that'd be great

    Danke schon.

    • Val is not the best person to ask here due to his activity being somewhat sporadic. Since somebody has evidentally managed to successfully upload a picture to the wiki since you posted your message, perhaps you should try it again; it may have been a temporary Wikia-related problem.

If that doesn't work, it might help to tell us where in the process of uploading you come across the problem (preferably on my wall or a forum thread or somewhere other than here, to avoid sending Val unnecessary notifications). Do you mean Special:Upload is just a blank page, or something else?

        Loading editor
    • I believe it doesn't work because you lack autoconfirmed status. You need to wait a few days before you have it, and can upload images.

  • Hi Val, it's great to see you back.

By the way while you were gone there's been some development regarding the Draconis and Earth and I wanted to know if it affects any connection with the Krassio or the Cianju Alliance.

Current canon is that some time around 30,000-40,000 years ago the Draconid Imperium came to the Milky Way and after some time came to work alongside other Milky Way Precursors to protect the galaxy from the Alpha Draconians/Chitauri. Part of that involved an agreement with the Precursors that the Draconis would monitor Earth to protect humanity from reptillian infiltrators (and later the Goa'uld), along with permission for the general study of humanity.

In the current War of Ages timeline, the Imperium is partially aware of the Zhulultu (though they know hardly anything due to the rarity of their ruins), and they have records of the activation of the Earth monolith. Although all this is classified to the public and most foreign powers.

I'm just curious how all this might relate to the Krassio and the Cianju given that if I recall they've been to Earth as well. But it also puts them and the Imperium in a rare position as they would be the only two powers outside the godraces and the Congregation that know anything at all about the Zhulultu.

    • Hello Monet!! And thank you! It's good to be back!

Well, The Krassio have never been to Earth, they just considered a multiversal key world, due to it existing in thousands of dimensions, some of the Krassio Scholars even believed that Earth was the center of the Multiverse, but they are really indifferent as to what happens there. Due to the Xhodocto being originally awakened there, The Krassio regarded Earth with some importance that might have later revealed any way to defeat their enemies. Still, they have never been there. And as of now, there are so many empires related to Earth and the Milky Way Galaxy that it would be absurd to have the Cianju Alliance (Krassio overrall) go there. I would rather focus their war efforts in the Tigris Galaxy and later in other galactic clusters rather than in the Milky Way.

You should check with other empires (those involved heavily in the War of Ages) that have their main territory based in the Milky Way to check the canon regarding that galaxy.

Thank you again for your message, I will see you when I see you!

    • Ah right, I see. Thanks for that. I'd heard the Krassio considered Earth the centre of the Multiverse I just wasn't sure if they'd actually been there. If you want to focus on Tigris that's fine, the Milky Way has indeed changed a great deal since you were last active.

Fortunately my fiction is fairly established with the Milky Way's Orion League as well as having ties to the DCP (A complication explored in the Great Xonexian Schism) but I appreciate the notification nonetheless.

    • Some of this speculation may well come from me. I recall you said the Krassio once trained a tribe of humans, although it is possible they are one of the transplanted groups. Of course this idea might not apply anymore if you want to separate the Krassio story from Earth-based fiction.

        Loading editor
    • Well, yes, the Krassio did train a spliter group of humans, but only because they came to the Krassio for knowledge. Thus, the Krassio trained these humans, who were already physically different to their Earth counterparts, the Krassio have rather a primitive way of calling other species' social groups (Families and small/medium social groups are considered tribes). Still, that was way after the Tigris War, I think that was Cold War era, where the Krassio were rebuilding and accepting more species into their turf.

Sorry for the late reply, just came back from the beach and from going to the Star Wars VII premiere!

  • Hey, you're back! :o

Just so you know, we've been on-and-off rewriting the War of Ages, beginning with the Tigris War. The intro can be found here (Xho wrote his bit about the Zhulultu - the new Congregation leaders in place of the Xhodocto - and I wrote the Cianju bit, hope I did okay!). This is being co-ordinated by me, Ghel and Xho, but if you're going to have more free time on here, I'd be fine letting you help co-ordinate!

Anyways, other than that, in preparation for the war, I also began a rewrite of the Cianju Alliance page, since the old one was outdated, and since you'd left the fiction to me and Xho. Are you okay with what I've done so far and/or do you want to take over?

Oh, and finally, did you get Legacy of the Void? :o Would love to hear back from you! ^.^

    • Techno!

I've checked your updates on the Cianju Alliance, and I love them! If you wish, I could help in the less critical parts like ancient history, which is irrevelant to current canon plotlines, that would aliviate your work I little bit! If Xho and Ghel are okay with it, I would like to contribute on this revamp, yes! Yees! I got the Legacy of the Void, loved Alarak, the Tal'darim, and the purifiers' mothership!! I kinda hate the cyphon in multiplayer lol

Sorry I didn't answer earlier my friend, I was finishing final projects for this semester, but now I'm on vacation!

    • Great, glad you like the updates! I'm glad I did a good enough job for ya. And sure, updating their ancient history would be great.

Man, I've heard so much about Legacy of the Void. It's meant to have the best campaign of the StarCraft II games. And, alas, I have not got it yet. ;_; I should do at some point.

Oh, nice, I've only got two weeks of my semester left! :o Hope to see you around!

  • Hello Valader. I have a question to ask, (I won't answer for a long time, btw. I'm going on vacation) is the Fiction:SporeWikia's Mentors page still used? I hope it is.
