Great! I plan to start writing the story either today or tomorrow and keep working on it over the next week or two. The story remains the same, the Council of Mystics organizing an expedition outside of Zachensa's barriers and seeing what's there. Is there another way we can communicate so we can coordinate this better?
Seeing as how it's been a few days and I have not seen anything, I'll assume that either you haven't had the time or it didn't work. Either way, it's alright if we have to stick to here to work out this collaboration, I'm flexible.
Yeah sorry about that, I forgot to actually send the request, that's my bad. I got caught up with schoolwork and then got distracted by updating my fictional empires to fit more in line with the modern canon.
Anyways, the Council of Mystics coming out of the barrier could alert beings who are pretty essence sensitive. Nu'Iva might simply sense that something has "breached" into our world. Of course technically Zachensa was always in our world, though I would suspect that the barrier would have been designed to help the sector inside avoid detection from any outside sources, even the most powerful of essence users.
The Council of Mystics might stumble across The Tower (the page itself is still in the works, sorry about that). The Tower is, to make things short, a structure that can allow someone to traverse great distances in space-time. It can exist anywhere at any time, and thus it could be that the Council discovered it on a planet during their exploration out of Zachensa.
Nu'Iva is the current resident of The Tower and uses it for her experiments, however she is extremely well read in dealing with all things essence. She could aid them in repairing the barrier if that's what they want. Though whatever was used to make the barrier she'd have to actually study before she could be much help, no one knows everything after all.
Those are just ideas about meeting her. But i'm very interested in what the Council plans to do once they are out of Zachensa.
It's alright, I understand. I'll admit I'm still thinking things out myself for the story, though I do know that the Council will send an expedition that will first make contact with a faction I have yet to write, but after that they could stumble on The Tower. It's a better idea than anything I've come up with so far. By the way, the DM link didn't work, maybe I was just too late to access it, I don't know. Maybe you just need to try again; I'm still figuring out Discord so if I missed something, please let me know.
Basically a group of JGrox were sent to the homeworld of the Void Eyes and they want to be converted into Tier 1 Void Zealots to be able to use the Void tech that the Void Eyes created. It isn't a whole empire and only a small divison in the JCompany.
If a active collaboration is going on which interests you, you ask to join. If there's not (like in our case), we just work out a storyline and go from there.
For exemple, my main empire, the Waptoria Alliance of Species, have been interested in colonising Andromeda and more specifically Umbra. Chasing a source of Void Energy, which they think was an essence they themselves dealt with, they may come into contact with the Evil Eye Empire. Such things.
Eco I'm on discord as well. I've been chatting with Gorzill for like the past three months.
However, the thing about Void Energy is that I never intended for it to be widespread and used by multiple empires. Worship of Ada does grant the possibilty of attaining this power, though this makes Ada more powerful in the process. The whole point of Void Essense is to return the universe into an inert state. The more people that use it, the closer the universe comes to non-existance. However me and Gorzill have been discussing a different essence that counteracts this effect. Until we finalize the details I'll keep your request in consideration.
Upon further reading and thought, I will allow use of the void to the Evil Eye Empire.
I find the concept of "It" to be very interesting. If the Zealots so choose, they might be able to team up with the Volver Seperatist movements that worship Ada and the Void. However the seperatists are on the back-burner as of now. Ever since Crimsonfire mucked up my canon I have to go back and fix up pretty much all pages regarding them.
My only rules are that as an empire, they can only use tier 1 and 2 void essenese teqniques and applocations. Mass usage of higher the higher tiers isnt something that I intended or encourage. There might be a few individuals that use the higher tiers, but not an entire military force or empire.
If these people use it as a conduit for worship, then a small number of tier 3 priests/shamans are fine.
Well, I want to make the 2 leaders tier 3 (or higher later), the trained / elite military tier 2 and everybody else tier 1. Also is it possible to use tier 4 void powers by combining the energy of many people and technology (Gravitation Wave, Fanatical Frenzy) on the Great Eye-ships (and tier 3 on the smaller ships). Tier 5 will be reserved for 'it'.
The 'Evil Eye' Empire will use the Void energy mainly to expand, convert into their religion and to defend themselves. I already wrote the new descriptions on my ships, could you check if it is not too powerful?
Well let's say if they have powerful enough users grouped up, they could do so. But the problem with that is that lesser users could be killed in the process. Though I guess when you're a zealot dying for the cause would be the ideal way to die.
As far as technological applications, it can be harnessed for space travel and ftl movement. Opening wormholes and stuff like that can work. However we should probably restrict that to a few large motherships/capital ships. Offensive capabilities are usually reserved for organic beings, but there's other powerful technology available in the universe.
I'm not going to shoot the idea of a tier five down. Though Ada is the only person I intended to ever achieve it. It's possible Ada or one of his followers created "it" to achive such a goal though. Other than that I'll just have to wait and see what you have in mind for "it".
So, can my spaceships use the void powers as offensive weapons? I can restrict them to use only 3 or 2 different attacks if you want or I can just use normal weapon devices (like Black Hole Generator, Mega Laser Device...) that function on Void Energy. <-I already made it like that.
@Shamusson: The Waptoria are not so much openly hostile as they are very, very wary at the moment. They are "They distrust us because we use the Void Energy" more for them than "very unfriendly".
And who can blame them? They've seen what the Void can do. They've fought against the Void. It tried to erase them from existence, and since the Void Eyes use it, eventually they will too. As for the Mirusian Theogratic Congregation, the same thing goes. It's not because they're zealots, but because the Void Eyes use the Void and they know it's horror. Well OK, also because the whole "False God That Will Come" thing in their case.
I mean, most of the wars both fought were either due to the manipulations of the Brotherhood of Darklings, the Dominatus or the Void, so they have reason to be wary.
The Waptoria will try diplomacy first, of course. The will try to point out it's dangers and how much it has made the Waptoria suffer. They just don't expect it to go well, and after what they've experienced in the Return of THEM, why should they? Oji'b himself is perplexed at how they can use the Void when Ada isn't around more than anything else. He's probably the one to visit the Void Eyes because he's curious like that.
As for the Waptoria viewing the Void Eyes Empire as enemies, it's not the species but the energy. Yes, Void Energy is neutral-aligned...but it also seeks to return everything to nothingless eventually so is inherently dangerous to both the user and it's surroundings. Brygon aside (and tentatively at that), the Congregation on the other hand make no distinction between energy and user.
I wouldn't expect friendly reactions from most of Mirus. For the reasons mentioned above and because they get most of their supernatural powers from the Hyperuranion, which is the Void's complete equal and opposite (wanting to sustain reality rather then destroy it).
Oh and about 'it', I picture it as the central part of a bigger artifact, The Gate to the Abyss. My empire needs to find the other pieces that are scattered all over the Gigaquadrant and combine them to create The Gate to the Abyss. Then it would be able to use the tier 5 void powers and to create abyss spawn to defend itself (or attack...). But most importantly it would be able to transfer anyone to the Abyss and back.
No, I meant that 'it' would be a giant flying (deathstar-like) artifact that could summon Void creatures and use tier 5 void powers (or some tier 4 offensive powers at the same time if the use of tier 5 is going to be forbidden) to defend itself from enemies. The core of 'it' would be the portal to the Abyss and 'it' would get the Void Energy from there.
Or, if the use of the tier 5 Void powers or any other void techniques isn't possible due to them being restricted to only organic beings and not vehicles (or artifacts), it would just summon flying Void Spawn and create Void Tentacles out of the Void Energy that comes from the portal.
Also, is it possible to create a new Nyarqaeshu?
Sorry didnt see this post. But no, the Void cannot create Nyarqaeshu. Void Spawn are mostly void tainted creatures from long consumed nations anyways, (i never really got around to explaining what these are, that's my bad) which is what would happen to the Evil Eye Empire should their use of the Void go unchecked. The only issue with being a void spawn is that your will is never your own. Besides, the Nyarqaeshu are basically extinct...and the handful that are still alive want nothing to do with the Void.
Hey everyone. Im sorry I've been away so long. Ive got to be honest, its hard to just jump back into writing my fiction after such a long hiatus. I basically started writing my own graphic novel, but then ny mother got sick, my work hours got longer, and college got a hell of a lot harder.
I look back at the memories and writing i made on this site and it makes me smile each time. To be honest i pretty much finished my fiction here. All thats left is to add minor events, which at the rate of things looks like It will be a while before I can truly sit down and do them. I love the wiki and the friends Ive made, so im not leaving. Just understand that I intend on truly finishing what I started eventually.
Hey Glynn, sorry for my absurdly late response. There's been a lot going on. The advent of Discord has seen us using message boards less and less and schism between users led to exodus of several prominent members of the wiki. So we were on something off hiatus for a good chunk of summer. But don't worry me, Eco, and Zilla aren't going anywhere and now things are settling down and the wiki's started to move again.
Man that sounds kind of crazy. How did any of that happen? I once considered having a site dedicated to our fiction as well.
And yeah it seems like ever since about 3 or so years ago I can't quite get back into the fiction here. I've either been working long hours, trying to catch sleep between classes, or burning my creative fuel on my own novel.
Though I will say writing with you guys basically helped me out in regards to the novel. I initially intended on getting a deal with a publisher and getting you guys' permission/collaboration in publishing a graphic novel or even just an actual novel about our combined fiction.
I can't really say since I left/was kicked out of the Katar group early on and, aside from Charles, have had little interaction with them ever since (mainly because the guys I was on friendly terms with left the wiki soon after Katar itself came to a standstill).
But from what I have gathered, Charles got into a heated discussion with Techno, got himself banned, Wormy got involved, Charles got unbanned, but the Katar Sector->Aoshtai Galaxy group (including Charles and Parazael) left anyways. Shiznasty didn't, as you can see.
Even before that, Crimsonfire managed to get himself banned after his political beliefs turned into pure hatred and he started yelling at everyone here for disagreeing with him (Chantal apparently agreed, but then again, Chantal hasn't been here for a long, long time). Neither he or Chantal have found their way over to the Aoshtai wiki...yet, though it seems the two are working together now somewhere.
This means that we are no longer moving forward at a breakneck speed here (quite the contrary in fact) since Crimson had become one driving the storyline here (for better or worse) and a lot of his stuff even got undone after his ban. Then we got involved with the formation of the other wiki and then your announcement happened so we figured we might as well wait a bit. In any case, the clock has turned back to the Mendel Shism, an era you are at least familiar with and which did yet involve your fiction.
The SOS has been formed, the Raptoranean Matriarchy has archieved independence, and the Mendel Shism is taking place. It would be nice to finish things off in one final event in Tyris Mayor, right where it all began, and then the Enlightenment Alliance can be whole once again. Kinda nostalgic, to be honest. That's not something I feel every day.
I'm just going to leave some links to Discord and whatnot so you can check them out in your spare time:
Sporewiki - Of lesser imporance right now regarding what we are doing though that might change
The Mendel Pact and Multus Esse are almost exactly like the Sporewiki one, the Vanara are the Vash'nira Elemental Tribes but otherwise the same, the Matriarchy are birds-of-paradise now but likewise mayorly unchanged, the Dominion of War is like the Imperium of War but far older and more mercenary, the Waptoria have their evil reflection in the Wtor Kttong, their Zarto Vong brethen fulfill the same role as the Bio-Morphlings here, the ACC have their counterpart in the Old Things and the Bachyeon in the Scourgeborn.
@Glynn - Something I want to talk to you about (I've already talked to Zilla and Eco about this). Basically I want to reboot Niyra's Training and start over right from the beginning.
My reasons are thus: 1. I cringe whenever I see my old writing, 2. Some of the characters (like team Waptara) were never properly introduced and I want them to have that chance, 3. Our fiction has changed so much lore wise that Niyra's training no longer fits and its just to big and too much has changed to fix that with minor edits, 4. Everyone is less active now and I want to restructure the story in a way that can accommodate that, 5. We need to get more comfortable with writing one another's characters again without face to face collaboration and NT would a great way of doing that.
The structure of the story would also be different. Basically instead of having multiple arcs with a different villain we just have one overarching villain that might send different smaller villains after the cadets. Also the story will focus more on training then fighting villains. Basically we would have a collection of smaller stories mostly focused on training and character development with some bigger stories dealing with villain attacks and major events that move the plot forward.
Me a Eco talked about having the main villain being Ahokmu trying to corrupt other koatria cadets and secretly sending various threats after Niyra and friends. The entire thing would take place during the era of tension between the Mirusians and the Xonexi leading up to the Wars of the Mirusian Coalition and ending when the Hegemony tries to purge Niyra's academy. Much of the story having a cold war-esque paranoia to it.
Again, apologies for my late replies. Didn't get any notifications.
@Gorzill - I'm fine with some reboots if i'm not too late. I've finally got some real time to do what I want around the weekends now.
@Eco - That sounds like a major sh*tshow. Almost wish I was there to at least try to ease the tension. And I would be on board for one last hurrah in that story-line. I still never wrapped up all those HUGE loose ends i left behind in my absence. It will require me to read a lot of what I wrote though to remember where everyone was.
I any case I have been working on a unique system for supernatural powers for Mirus that I think you should be informed of so you can give your input on it. Especially since I included the Void.
Basically it's based off the idea that reality is, when you get right down to it, made of data. All living things in Mirus have something called an ID Field (Individual Definition Field) and certain individuals have fields that allow them to interface with and alter certain types of data allowing them to override reality in specific ways.
Lets take for example a Koatria of Fire, these are individuals with the ability to interface with and alter fire data allowing them to override reality in regards to fire.
Mirus is a battle ground between two different forces, the Hyperuranion and the Void. The Hyperuranion represents all possibilities while the Void represents no possibilities. The Void wants nothing to exist apart from itself so it tries to draw everything into itself to be devoured. The Hyperuranion whats things to exist apart from itself and so pushes thing away.
ID Fields exist because of the soul's resistance to the Void trying to pull into oblivion.
Another source of power is Empathetic Links, which allows power to be shared among other beings. Empathetic Links are formed because of soul's resistance to the Hyperuranion's pushing it away.
I really like that idea. To add to that, the Void is everything that "isnt" simply put. I'd put it like this... The Void is the part of the operating system that denies that anything exists or should exist. In a sense sending lines of "NO". Whereas Hyperuanion wants to exist and is existing, and therefore says "YES".
Also, a few other points you should know and/or review for changes:
Does Six die? That is the most important unsettled part.
I had Fenric doing some things on Farmia. What you see on the page is a rough outline and very flexible. I had them picking up some Antroth reinforcements, but that can go away or we could have them delve into that lost bloodline you mentioned.
Before that, I changed Fenric's Waternan gun source. Instead of buying them from Beta and stirring up an unwanted Infectant plotline, I had him and his men stumble across one surviving Waternan soldier sitting on a cache of guns.
Can I kill off Blitz? If the battle on Farmia passes I would like him to meet his doom at the tip of the Bonerider's scythe.
That's the most important stuff, let me know if you have questions about anything else, then we can figure out what else to add or remove. Thanks.
Well a Farmian Civil War was inevitable anyways. So Fenric would be able to garner support from the lost Antroth bloodlines who honestly believe they should rule.
And it's unrealistic that Lavern killed off all Waternans. Though the surviving ones who could replicate the tech aren't very savy. Its possible that there was a Waternan left in cryofreeze or something to avoid being killed by Lavern's mass genocide.
Blitz Vaas has very rarely contributed to the overall plot of our continuity, so he's one less character to keep track of.
Also, feeling a little dizzy coming back. I spent the last two years writing a fantasy epic, so my mental lore library is a bit jumbled up haha. Though I recall many important things off the top of my head, I've probably forgotten smaller details...luckily it's all written down.
Also as for Six? I'm not so certain if I wanna throw him under the bus just yet...maybe rough him up a little. Like I said I'm a little hazy on why his life is in danger. It had something to do with manipulating Dione I think.
Glad you like the fighting on Farmia. Some of your comments before suggested you didn't want more rebellions in Tyris.
Yeah, this one Waternan is like that Japanese soldier who thought WWII was still on. He's not building weapons, just sitting on an old munitions dump. He by no means represents a resurgence of Waternans. He's just an old soldier who is tired of being alone and wants to fight his foes one last time before he dies.
As for Blitz, the leader of the Wartorn mercenary company wants his head too as a price for being loyal to Fenric, so maybe Blitz can have one final duel with him before being killed. I completely forgot about writing that the mercenary guy wanted his head while I was writing that the Bonerider fought him. Speeking of keeping track of things.
Oh, and the reason I suggested you bump Six is because you made him sound like a pretty bad dude and I can't see him logically staying the leader of an empire allied to guys like the Waptoria and Mendel. They would depose a bad ruler pretty fast if his people didn't.
As for Dione, she's pretending to work for Fenric for the good of her people I guess, not for Six himself. For the part when she betrays Fenric, I was thinking that her and Trevagr (Fenric's number two) would be going to kill Six's family in a safehouse while Fenric fought the big man's army. Trevagr would figure out Dione is a rat, and Dione blows her head off with a plasma pistol.
Blitz and his mercenary group werent really a part of the UAE. In fact they were enemies of the United Knights Alliance (which is a page I forgot to flesh out YEARS ago). However like with every Tyris Major species, they did lend a hand in defeating Ada and his forces. Though they went back to their old pirate ways afterwards.
And I didn't really want large scale fighting in Tyris Major. The Soldarians, despite their treaties, wouldn't necessarily lend a hand during the Farmian conflict, and Brygon is still at odds with the Anteoths after his outburst on Taurstad where he nearly killed Oskel. Dione and her squadron might act independently, though I figure this conflict would help develop Nu'Iva and Princess Ta'Lia more. I did plan for Ta'Lia to become a very powerful witch in future writings. Maybe this resurgence in these other Antroths using the forbidden magics might give Ta'Lia some kind of motivation?
I'm not necessarily writing more about Brygon anytime soon, as I've grown fond of Team Tyris and their journeys. I think Bryon is more a mentor character now than anything. We've seen him grow and mature and experience things and now he's guiding others. Though we all know he's not necessarily mentally stable anymore.
Also i do like the idea of an undercover Dione. As a Soldarian Super Elite, she would be tasked with such things. Though she does have freedoms to take on assignments at her own accord. Sort of like Spectre agents in Mass Effect.
Six is...well to be blunt he's a dick. But even so the Soldarians would honor him as their rightful ruler by blood. Six wouldnt do abything to jeprodize the empire, though he will go to great lengths to get what he wants.
No, I wasn't planning any large scale fighting. First, Fenric starts an insurgency on Volcanis, but his Lavatuft soldiers use that Waternan's weapons which turns everyone against them and ends the fighting pretty quickly. Then they go to Farmia to regroup and ally with the bloodline Antroths and get in a big drawn-out siege. Finally they go to Militora and get into a big fight there, where they are defeated by Mendel reinforcements and imprisoned.
I knew the Soldarians would not have any part of Farmia, that is why Fenric goes there. He is puzzled as to why such a militant race would not defend their allies and begins to suspect that there is some kind of instability there that he can exploit.
Yeah. Despite literally decades of peace, Soldarians tend to hold grudges for generations. Pulporuous V suggested that they wipe out the Anteoths, but King Glynn created a treaty that the Lavatufts had already signed. Pulporuous, while his Empire was actually more powerful than the Volver at the time, couldn't stand up to the Volver AND the Lavatufts on top of dealing with the Waptoria who were allied with the Lavatufts. So he swallowed his own pride and signed the treaty. Pulporious is somewhat concerned with he Biskin on the outskirts of allied space and the possibility that Beta could start a new plague. He's simply stockpiling resources in secret. He also doesn't trust Brygon, his own Great-Nephew, as much ever since Taurstad.
Also the idea of a youngster like Brygon calling the shots in Tyris Major doesn't really make him too happy. Sure he'll fight for the greater good, and he has respect for the Volver as warriors, so he aided during the Second Ascon Civil War. But he would definitely leave the Antroths to their own devices if he doesn't have to help.
Ah I never wrote it. I couldn't figure out where to put it, but the Blood Knights were at the height of their power at the time and Anthil Agna was running the show.
Pulporious V planned a strategic assault with the Antroth Farmian Fist Legion, Volver Elite Knight Squadron, and the Biskin Prime Elites. Magmos and a few Lavatufts were already dealing with ground forces and Oskel arrived with the Volver. Brygon wanted to help them assault the base, but Kyaan and Oskel persuaded him to stay aboard the command center with Kyaan and Pulporious VI. Oskel and Pulporuous V went to join Magmos and his forces on the ground.
The battle was getting very intense and Brygon began to think that the others could not take Taurstad without his help. Though at this moment the Void fed off of his emotions Brygon stepped out into space and used the void to rip Taurstad to shreds with a deadly display of power.
Sure, Taurstad was deatroyed and many Blood Knights died, but it was assumed that Oskel, Magmos, Pulporious V, and many allied forces were killed by the blast. Six attempted to kill Brygon while Si'Daal wept at the loss of her beloved and her soldiers. Fortunately Kyaan was able to quell the situation and subdue Brygon before he could fatally wound Six.
Afterwards the allied forces found themselves back in allied space unharmed by Brygon's attack. For some odd reason insetad of being destroyed they were simply teleported. Zataura explains that she was avle to transport them out of there in time. Though Oskel, Magmos, and Pulporuous V still didnt like the idea that Brygon destroyed Taurstad without regard for their saftey. They trust Brygon, but not Void Brygon, if that makes sense.
That reminded me, when I was looking back at one of our threads a while ago I saw a few posts where me and the others were talking about our ethnicity/heritage, and that piqued my curiosity because on your page (where I found the link to the UKA) you write that you are Honduran?
Sorry about my delayed reply. Some other things came up suddenly.
And when I said south east I meant where I live in Michigan now lol. My African ancestors are from West Africa, although my lineage was a free family before slavery was ended. Quite the family history actually.
And the Farmian capital so far has gone unnamed or I have forgotten it. But based on how I've created their either pun based or languages based language, it should be called Kara'Nis in their native tongue or Colonus by species who don't speak a similair language
I figured out that that's what you meant. West Africa, huh? Some pretty interesting cultures over there.
I started to plan an extension to Fenric's actions on Farmia, to give the Antroth dissidents more story time. Basically they attack the capital, but the wall surrounding the city cannot be easily breached, so they keep coming up with ways to get past it before finally being driven away. Or something like that.
There are very old tunnels underground. Traditional Antroth homes are subterranean and even the old city was a network of tunnels. Although after conquering the planet and being exoises to new cultures like the Volver they've adopted the above ground city layouts.
Hey Glynn, remember how we came up with the idea to resurrect Reathee for the Mirusian Conflicts, where I had his followers doing some kind of pagan norse ritual to bring him back? I was just wondering, since nobody killed him off since, what do you want to have happen to him? I mean, its been years, and adding him in would mean some rewrites, but he was always a pretty cool character, and I think you should have more characters in our stories these days.
Hmm I suppose so. I think Reathee was killed off again by his brother Kyaan during Return of Them. Im not sure if i had him burried, though Kyaan, despite viewing his brother as a traitor, he was still a Volver warrior and probably revived a proper Clan Desaa burrial
Also please, excuse my absence. My job got a little bit more busy thab i expected. But the good thing is my mother is basically cancer free bow. So thats one less thing keeping me away from the wiki.
On another note ive been writing on my own for a while. Writing on thw wiki has given me the ability to write nore complex stories.
Well first and most importantly, I'm glad your mother is recovering from cancer.
What are you writing? I enjoy writing myself but find I don't have the attention span for it.
Yeah, Reathee got killed during RoT. Burying him would be important to the story were we to bring him back, because my idea involved his followers sacrificing Volver virgins so their blood would drain into a pit with Reathee's body in it. Add to that some chanting and shamanistic mumbo-jumbo and bam. Reathee returns from the dead. Maybe his arm would even grow back.
That was my original idea, anyway. Do you still wish to use him, and if so, any ideas?
Also I've been writing a fantasy. To sum it up its bascially a story that spans many generations. Without giving too much away imagine the lore elements/world building from Elder Scrolls and the adventure/character development of Avatar mushed into one story that borrows from the JoJo's/Avatar style of following families through the generations.
Honestly I didn't really plan to bring Reathee back from the dead. I feel as if his impact on the galaxy is already everlasting and there's nothing for him to really accomplish. I mean Anthil and Reathee are indeed in favor of Volver supremacy. The only thing they would do is try to extend Volver rule over Tyris Major.
Hey Glynn, longtime no see. Okay so I've been thinking about the relationship between Accel Space and the Void. We discussed this awhile back, but in case you don't remember here is a break down as well as some new information.
Okay so Accel Space is a realm that was created by infusing Darkness with Nonsense. Basically Accel Space is more comparable to the Abyssal Realm instead the Void which Nonsense is more comparable to.
In essence I've basically been thinking that the Void and Nonsense are inherently opposed to one another. Why? Because simply put the Void is nothing were as Nonsense is everything, or rather it tries to be, its actually sheer potential. The void is static, stable, and hallow. Whereas the Nonsense is fluidic, unstable, and energized. The Void grants incredible and corruptive power, but its powers all revolve around the same thing. Nonsense on the other hand grants lesser powers or enhances existing ones, but is uncorruptive (you can get severally mutated though) and far more diverse and adaptable.
Yeah that's about right. The Void is nothingness and order where as everything else just seems chaotic. That's why when Void users progress in using their abilities, the Void consumes their emotions, as emotions create chaos or whatever. The end goal of the Void is to return "everything to nothing", a concept Padunas Ori introduced near his death eons ago. Of course Nonsense would be opposed to everything ending.
I can't make big edits still but now that my email issue is fixed I'm finally receiving notifications. So I can reply much faster now.
Indeed, though Nonsense can't be fit into the chaotic definition, that would be making sense of it which is anathema to Nonsense. This probably just makes the Void hate (for a given value of the term I suppose) it even more since Nonsense can't be fit into neat, orderly definition like the Void would want. Nonsense's end goal is to create a universe of infinite possibilities.
Glad to here that your receiving notifications now, I wonder what went wrong? Hmmm, oh well its fixed now, that's what counts.
Makes sense to me. The Void can't really make any moves now as our heroes have effectively halted its advance. Brygon, while he is slightly losing his mind, hasnt given into the Void and Anthil cant quote use it properly. All other Void users are either on the UAE's side or they are dead.
The Dark One would more than likely oppose the Void as Ada would no doubt try to destroy him if he ever got free.
It seems you've established a relationship with my fiction, this will have to be deemed non-canon until we discuss about this since you did it without my permission and that there was no interaction at all.
So how would this work out? If you need some advice, or you're just shy, let me know, thanks!
I...what? I haven't made edits to that particular page in like a year. I planned on updating it with revised lore and recent events.
I'm not entirely sure how it happened, but the Biskin don't know anyone by the name of Zsark.
And I don't particularly need any advice in terms of collaborations or such, i have been here for over 5 years with over 3,000 edits after all... and more pages than I can activley remember. No offense of course.
As I explained to Hellrock, I intented to put in the implications of the Aeba Shuka formation in the MirusConflicts for the Biskin (it basically breaks the ties of Ziskin to Unitech because Solid rebels), but somehow I put in the wrong text. Undid it, but nevertheless, sorry about that :/
On that second note, I actually never claimed ownership of your fiction Glynn.
Hey there Glynn since your not getting messages about the other thread I figured I put up this one and hope it gets to you. As far as what is going on well I believe Eco said it best.
--- The following is an obviously biased Mirusian vieuwpoint ---
Many races of the UAE went to war with the Xonexi Allies around the back of the Alliance itself over the ex-Drakodomintus Territories in Mirus (aka Dominatus Mirus), allying with the Zarbania Powers and (temporarily) the Imperium of War, to reach their goal.
The Coalition appeared to win, but then the Imperium stabbed the rest of the Coalition in the back and opened up a second front. It was unknown what the Mirusians would do, and many Xonexi believed they would now drag the full UAE into the war, which would turn the tide in favor of the Mirusians again. Neither did happen, but it gave the Hegemony an exellent excuse to show their true (Xonexi) colors and betray the UAE from the inside out, massacring many Olympians and just about most Koatria with secret Darkling/War-Imperial aid. Hence the surviving Koatria are all collectively pissed right now.
The Imperium and the Xonexi continued to press the attack, the UAE did not enter the war and the Coalition lost in the end. As a result, the Xonexi forced them to sign for peace and join the Covenant of Mirus, which many races felt was imposed upon them by extragalactics to shackle them.
So the Xonexi seriously dowplay the significance of the UAE (I would beg to differ) and, I assume, see it is defunct/worthless/above all unable to pay a role in intergalactic politics? Yeah, I don't get how they got to that conclusion either. Anyhow, the goal of the Covenant is to build an united Mirusian government and bring peace to the galaxy - Hey, that was the UAE's goal XD! You can see where this goes. The Xonexi go around telling the natives the Covenant is the only true legitimate Galactic Government of Mirus -not the UAE- thus angering mant UAE menbers who band together with the Zarbanians to form the Triumvirate of Mirus. Ironically the Triumvirate is not headquartered in Mirus but in Tyris Mayor because it's embers think Mirus is too heaviliy watched by the Xonexi at the moment. So they proably work together with the Tyrisians a lot.
Back in Mirus, the Imperium of War is still advancing. They conquer the Coalition-held ex-Dominatus Mirus (creating the bizzare situation in which the Coalition cannot give back any part of ex-Domintus Mirus to the Xonexi Allies even though the peace treaty states they have to). As they are doing this, the Aeba Shuka (Crimsonfire's fiction) attacks the UAE with 9 Special Olympian groups provided by Caligustus, that unknown to them, are loyal to Darkling Brotherhood. They go to nearly eleminate the remaining UAE-loyal Olympians as well, then Caligusts gives the Signal and the Darkling-Corrupted Olympians turn on the Aeba Shuka as well, who retreat beyond the Red Veil where no one can reach them.
Then the Imperium of War invades the critically weakened UAE, as the Corrupted Olympians lick up with him. They quickly conquer Mirus Waptoria, then conquer the Federation, and finally the GMCS. The Mendel, Vanara and Zarbanians sucesfully fend off the attacks but are kept under seige.
Eventually (we yet have to find out how exactly - but it is with the non-native aid of a few other fictions that the Imperium pissed off in the past), the Imperium is beaten back, defeated, and dismembered.
So the Great Mirusian Conflicts end with the Imperium of War, the most destabilizing influence in all our fictions, gone, but not without a cost. Most Koatria and Olympians are dead and the UAE has been crippled to such an extend that the enormous powef vacuüm the Imperium has left cannot be filled by them. So of course the Xonexi fill it, actually legitimizing the Xonexi's claims about the UAE's weakness, and allowing them to truly impose the Covenant over Mirus. Aaand Gridlock is now in a position of trust amongst the Mirusians, while Zaraturai has vanished after being attacked by the Imperium on order of Grid's dad, allowing aforementioned father to further adavcnce his nefastious plans. Of course the Xonexi have had no dealing with the Darklings so they discast that all of this was part as a vast plan as nativist nonsense and generally ignore them while the natves are for the first time in ages powerless to do anything about it. Now the flag of the Xonexi Allies flows over the Mirus Galaxy, but while the Allies enjoy a golden age, Mirus has become shrouded in darkness. The Imperium of War is gone, but their masters, the Brotherhood of Darklings, are still out there. Finally, the galaxy in in their grasp, as is their birthright...
As for the truth of the matter the Xonexi(well France at least) does recognize the UAE and actually wants the Mirusians at the head of the Covenant of Mirus. As for some extra stuff the United Persan Descendants are gunning to take down the Scelus Purification, but are largely being ignored(though the Mirusians have their back). They have also found out something rather terrifying about the creation of the Vanara. The Vanara's ancient ancestors(the Promen) were created as a food supply for an unknown alien menace.
Also nothing has really been moving forward so yeah you pretty much have nothing to edit as of now.
By the way Glynn I'm not sure if you know yet, but I've moved the arc one and two of Niyra's Training to their own separate pages. I was finding it cumbersome to navigate so I sectioned it to make things neater. Anyway their is part for you to edit back at Arc One under the kumikiri chapter for when you have the time(as I know you busy).
I love the new organization for Niyra's training. Sorry about my absence again. I really wish I could be involved as much as I was in the past. When I have days off I just want to relax and every other day I have work or school.
I have so much I want to finish here, but I think I'll have much more time once the summer hits
Hey Glynn! Glad to here from you. Yeah I know the feeling, I get days off and I swear all I want to do if loaf around on the couch. I haven't been on the wiki as frequently because work, school(finals are coming), and I got Skyrim not too long ago.
By the way I've altered how Accel Space operates and what it represents. Instead of progress it is a dimension of nonsense because, to quote the page, "nothing is what it is because everything is what it isn't, and contrary wise what it is it isn't and what it isn't it is." Have fun figuring out what that means.
Anyway I was still thinking that it and the void would be opposed to one another. Being as the void is orderly it would attempt to oppose sense on something that has none at the most or a very warped one at the least.
Thanks a bunch for keeping me posted. Wiki still isn't telling me when replies are posted. I'm swamped with work and school but I'll try to keep up with the current events so I can make proper edits later.
Just so you know, the Mendel civil war has started (See the latest threat Gorzill posted for details). Tyris Mayor involvement would be much appreciated (though if you're too busy, just post the instructions here).
Barda dies and W'tze is already dead by then, meaning that Brygon's generation (Kirta, Tarkunuis and Angand'r) fully takes over.
