  • Basically, there are many users that simply mention and briefly describe their creatures in the pages of the planets they live in, without making them their own pages; while others use the fiction empire infobox instead of the creature infobox. I was wondering if there was a way of classifying those creatures without affecting the aestethic of the page (just in case the owners of the pages don't like a creature infobox being randomly placed in them).

  • OK, so Opdagon posted this thing. Does it count as pornography?

    • Oh, OK. Thanks.

    • The "cannon-like structure" follows on from "the other pair being testes" (2 of the legs) in the same sentence, so that seems to be the implication. And yet the pair of legs look like legs and the cannon isn't explicitly written to be what seems to be implied.

I'd say it is still only Sporn if you want to read it as such. But it takes some decompression to do that, and probably not a glance.

  • Ghelæ, I'm currently having a debate with Opdagon (again) about the family Nanofuria and its members, but we can't get to an agreement. If you don't have something more important to do, could you please help us settle this down? Thank you in advance.

  • Why is reclassifying animals based on a couple parts only OK when my creatures alone are affected?

The description said "hard-skinned", not "insect-footed".

They have hard skin on their foot, unlike all other furians

    • You could have specified.

Also, "limbed furiaformes" is too general, as many of them have limbs while looking very different.

    • Done! Normally I'd tell you to add the {{delete}} template to a page when you want it to be deleted, but you seem to have figured out to add the category which has the same effect.

    • TastyPlanet.

For your information, I actually sent you a warning and explanation to one of your alt accounts, you can read it here. I had permanently blocked your sockpuppet account and extended your 2 week block to a month on your original account. You were given thorough warnings to stop creating sockpuppet accounts, and an explanation for our reasons. And yet, that is when you began vandalising, so I was forced to give your original block an unlimited one.

In hindsight, it is possible that you entirely missed my message, if you was still logged into another account.

    • You may send me a request to have one of your accounts (e.g. Tastyplanet400) unblocked. However, you must explain to me why you will never use alternative sockpuppet accounts on SporeWiki, and why you will never vandalise user pages, and demonstrate that you have read and understood our rules and our policies on vandalism carefully (1, 2). You may ask me questions at any time, of course.

It is unclear to us if you want to contribute to SporeWiki or if are a vandal. So I now leave it to you...

  • I have begun discussing about politics with Charles Murray and am very impressed by his ideas that concern Medwedia. Let me share a long essay about the formation of Medwedia and about Medwedian ideology with you.

    • In all likelihood? Yes. Its a language used by a leading power in many of its affairs, and is likely used in many parts of the Gigaquadrant where Drodo are present. Its not as large as French but its up there.

    • So would it be taught at Medwedian grammar schools if French would be taught?

  • Could a high-end tier 4/Kardashev I.3-I.5 civilization like Medwedia successfully destroy a small planet using fusion or antimatter bombs? Medwedia used a multi-gigaton-scale 4-stage fusion bomb to destroy a minuscule moon (approximately the size of Vesta) in the early 2600's, so I guess it should be possible to destroy something the size of the Moon or even Mars-scaled by 2800. Could you realistically asess the technological progress and state, provided Medwedia concentrates much of its efforts towards weaponry?

    • Extrapolating technological development, especially with fictional and speculative physics, is really educated guesswork at best.

Fusion bombs are out of the question: they're far too weak; a planet-destroying one would have to be comparable to the planet itself in size. For a small planet or large moon, you're easily dealing with about 1030 J gravitational binding energy, or around 1013 kg (ten billion tonnes). This means that even an antimatter bomb, miraculously managing to transfer all of its mass into planet-busting energy with complete efficiency, would need to weigh at least that order of magnitude.

So destroying a planet is not going to be a matter of improving on simple technology like fusion bombs or antimatter containment. It's going to require developing something entirely new. So the answer to "could they do that in 200 years" is, "erm, maybe?".

    • Okay. I think that it depends on the exploitation of the technological potential - I'm sure the humans could have landed on Mars in the 1980's and have Lunar colonies now, but that didn't happen because of the end of the Space Race and budget cuts. Medwedia, on the other hand, puts much effort into military and space technology, so I think that it would be rather possible - at the cost of less important fields such as medicine.
