I can understand if you have been very busy lately but I thought I would post a reminder of my suggestion between the Empire and the DI.
If you're too busy for Rp we can alsways discuss the events of the scenario and work on a short story, like how things used to be. Don't interpret this as an "at your earliest convenience" message; more of a notice in case you forget, I know the idea isn't high-priority.
Always remember that if you don't have time to write it up, I could always do it - It does involve my fiction as much as yours.
Hello Cryannian, I have a problem with my spore but i searched what i could of the FAQ on sporepedia , but i cant seem to find why i cant register a a spore account. It keeps saying that there's a problem with the server's or it my internet connectivity. My connection on my computer is fine but i still cant register an account though. If you know a solution to this problem please tell me. Thanks in advance.
Hm, I haven't had that problem before, but several other users on the wiki have. It may have something to do with your Spore disk. Do you have any more problems in game? Or is the account issue the only problem?
I saw you deleted my recent blog and this title is pretty much my reaction.
First-off, that blog wasn't targeted at one person, in fact I never intentionally hinted towards who you thought it was to (although I might have in the opening statement). Second was that I thought I had brought up a valid point, you yourself were affected by it and Wormulon is constantly concerned about people doing it with his ideas and fiction.
Perhaps it was wrong to strictly call it a 'rant blog' but you could have warned me and I could have renamed it instead of deleting it behind my back (If you were trying to prove a point regarding Zillafire it failed because I did not want his fiction erased from the wiki). This is exactly the kind of poor communcation that had apparently started this entire incident.
Calm the hell down. The blog was irrelevant and against the rules, I wasn't making a point and I didn't need your permission to delete it. It would have caused arguments and is completely contrary to rules trying to stop angst as well as people leaving the wiki because of yes, the breakdown in communication. On that note, it was a volatile way to get your message across. Yes, you can state your opinions and constructive criticisms, but in a kind and helpful way, not in the way I saw over the last day. Now, I recommend you apologise to Zilla (and vice versa) and move on.
This deletion sounds more like paranoia to me. If my intention was to cause conflict, surely I could have referenced known copies on the wiki? Personallyl I thought it was fairly reasonable if not somewhat sympathetic.
I do sometimes feel like anything I say would upset at least someone on this wiki these days. In fact this whole incident has made me consider becoming more reserved on the IRC since it is apparently better if I kept my mouth shut.
I honestly couldn't care less about your complaints. My reasons were valid.
The thing I'm interested in, is an end to this conflict and fighting. So, what I think you should do is apologise to Zilla for talking about him behind his back, and I'm sure he can apologise to you for overreacting.
The blog was badly worded in some aspects, it is true that rant blogs are against the rules due to previous conflicts, and Cyrannian is allowed to put his foot down. But, in light of the discussion we had on IRC, a new blog suggesting better options might be a favourable form of communication; as it raises a community issue many feel. I don't think Monet intended to poke fingers and perhaps you could have explained your reasons to Monet for deleting the blog.
At first I was going to say, well, if it is a blog that raises a community issue, then only if it causes arguments should it actually be closed or deleted. But then I saw it could have been worded better (it may have been made in light of communication but turned out as a rant blog).
I would suggest making a new blog raising the issue but using better wording.
A neutral blog sounds like a good idea. As well as that, we should have easier ways for new users to understand some aspects of fiction rules, such as originality, that are currently in the background of the wiki. At the same time, we shouldn't make it seem like users are targeting people.
Wormulon: I can do that, I will need to look through to see what I can change to make it more impartial. Negative wording aside, I did think it brought up a valid point: There are several users on the wiki who don't like seeing fictions that were blatently copied from somewhere else, it's even worse when several people do it.
Xho: As I said it was a rant blog, and deleting shouldn't have caused a problem. I wouldn't have deleted it if I thought it was impartial and neutral.
If other users want to talk to ask new users who make unoriginal fiction to tone it down, then that's fine. But I don't think it's the main problem in that sort of fiction. Areas like grammar, spelling and layouts should be suggested, as opposed to how a fiction is made. Granted, if someone made a fiction with basically no changes from an established sci-fi, there should probably be something done. That wasn't the main problem with Zilla's fiction, which was basically the same level of originality Dino and I had; the main problem I thought about it was the spelling and grammar, which is easily corrected.
However, if a user makes a fiction that other users find in any way "unoriginal" and doesn't want to necessarily change that aspect, or changes it to a level that still annoys certain users, I don't think the user should be shunned; that seems too authoritarian. I know several other users, including myself would welcome such a fiction, assuming it was well written. If the users who don't like those type of fictions are still annoyed, I would suggest that they don't read them, thus saving them from having a caliption.
Since my Fiction has been accepted into the Fiction universe, im thinking of establishing a possible alliance with The Republic Remnant, and maybe make a fiction story about it as The Bastnliues first contact in person with other Sentient beings, sadly, i still have not managed to fix my spore problem so i may not be able to post The Bastnliues on SporePedia, if you have any tips on how to fix the problem that would be great.

Hello, I am a new user that found the work and fiction of this site very interesting, so I decided to make an account yesterday. And I would just like to know with my new race if I did something wrong. Such as I got them at too high a tier. You're advice would be very helpful. Thank you if you are reading this.
