SporeJump.png Jump is an ability available to creatures in the Creature Stage and captains in Spore Galactic Adventures, and is granted by certain feet and detail parts, or by the Glider Pack and Jump Jet captain accessories.

Jump allows the player to quickly ascend from their current location, either to become airborne or to traverse vertical obstacles. Jumping is a necessary prerequisite for gliding; as such, all Glide parts also grant level-1 Jump. If a creature jumps, there is a small chance they will perform a forward flip in midair, although this has no effect on jumping and is purely cosmetic. Higher levels of jump increase jumping height; allowing the user to achieve greater heights with a single bound.

  • Jump is very useful in Galactic Adventures, where most obstacles can be easily overcome by jumping, additionally, players may be able to go outside of the intended boundaries with a high enough jump.
  • Jump can be used to quickly escape from combat and pairs very well with Glide for this purpose.
  • Higher levels of Jump will improve the distance covered by gliding by providing a greater height for the initial jump, however, the height of the initial jump is reduced somewhat if the user can also glide.
  • Holding down the Jump key extends the duration and height of the jump.
