Ganymede is Jupiter's moon, the fifth planet in the Sol System, which in Spore can be found as an easter egg. It is an arid world, with high temperature and high atmosphere, with reddish, uneven terrain compared to the rest of the worlds in the Sol System.
Trivia[]
- In reality, Ganymede is a cold world, with maximum surface temperatures of −113 ºC (−171 ºF)[1] and virtually no atmosphere. Thus it would have been more accurately presented as a flurry world in Spore. It also not the only spherical moon of Jupiter, with Io, Europa and Callisto also fitting into that category. However, as Spore only allows one moon per planet, Maxis probably chose to show Ganymede for being the largest among them.
