With all due respect, I, nor do the other sections of the New Aratacian and greater Drodo Colonial government, believe the Primian Federation of Empires fully grasps the nature of the Silvan and Seruni threat. The Silvan natives are not a mere rioting populace, lightly armed if armed at all, who are keeping the level of escalation low for their sake. No, the Silvan are organised, and effectively live outside of Drodo jurisdiction and law. They arm themselves with bows, swords, lances, and even modern firearms- whether they be stolen or traded-for.

Riot policing, and the associated gear you are proposing to us is optimised to pacify a rioting populace- not destroy an active and organised enemy. Riot police, with nightsticks, tasers, and kevlar armour would be cut to ribbons by warriors, armed with swords, guns, and chainmail. We reject your offer.
