Greetings. All who fight for Good and Nature are welcome, but take care, there are giant dinosaurs in these jungles.

"United in the hopes of a better future..."

All life is sacred - intertwined in the great web that binds all living things as one. We do not long for agression, but should you uproot the great web of nature by taking rather than giving, we will have no choice but to take recursory action.

- Web-Speaker Tr'eath

One of the mayor powers in the Mirus Galaxy, the Waptoria Alliance of Species are by and large creations of the Multus Esse. Though a great power in their own galaxy, the Waptoria are largely peaceful and incredible hard to provoke. Yet for all their general pacifism, the Waptoria Alliance of Species see themselves as the inheriors of one of the Multus' most memorable tasks - the cultivation, spread and protection of life and biomes within Mirus, all while carefully maintaining the greater ecological balance on the worlds they touch. To these causes the mayority of the Waptoria's resources are devoted, hence their pacifism when it comes to outside powers. Deliberately upsetting this balance power however is perhaps the only surefire way to upset the Waptoria, and once upset they quickly take action. With technology based around making as ecological little impact as possible, the Waptoria make excessive use of biotics, symbiotes and stealth, keeping a constant vigil on all worlds under their watch. Though most nations are well aware of the Waptoria's pacifism and no not intentionally provoke them, many have still have made the mistake to assume that those uncolonised worlds thriving with life near or in Waptoria space are theirs for the taking. The Waptoria are quick to rid them of such delusions, appearing as out of nowhere, driving off the exploiters out of the systems only not to pursue. For the destruction of their foes is not on the minds of the Waptoria Alliance of Species - only that the balance is nature is maintained forevermore.

History

Early History

The Waptoria alliance originally consisted of three empires: the Raptoranean Empire, with consisted of the Raptoraneans and their Raptorian ancestors, the Euchada Republic, with consisted of the Euchada and the species they uplifted, namely the Runen and the Varacha, and finally, the Liev Gerontocracy, consisting of the Liev and most of the plant-like species in the Alliance. While the Raptoranean empire prospered, the Eucada Confederacy and the Liev Gerontocracy were locked in war with an invading Hermicee clan, called the VineClaw Clan, who had incredible amounts of Botana.

Formation

After the Raptoranean Empire achieved wormhole travel, they found a wormhole and send an expeditionary force through it, arriving in the Mirus Galaxy. They met and allied with the Euchada Confederacy and the Liev Gerontocracy, and helped them to battle the VineClaw. Victory was shortliving however, as the three empires were soon overrun by whole broods of Botana. At the brink of extinction, the three empires decided to merge, and thus, the Waptoria Alliance of Species was officially formed. With research and tactics now shared, the VineClaw was slowly pushed back. Finally, with aid of the Mendel and the Orgaat, the VineClaw Hermicee were defeated, and pushed out the Waptoria sector.

Exploring the new home galaxy

After expelling the last remains of the invaders out of "their" sector, the Waptoria Alliance quickly recovered. Then, they ventured out of the Waptoria Sector, and allied various empires, such as the Bio-Nation of the NOVA Alliance and the Federation of Glory (at that time the Ugandalorain and Volver Empires). Sortly after, a Waptoria anarchist group, called the Unitech Citadel, also rose to the scene.

During this time, the Euchada would go on to create various new species, nurturing their evolution and overseeing their rise to sentience from afar. One of these species, the Runen, would develop strong psychic abilities, and by scrying their own past, found out about their Euchada-creators. After the leading Shamans would guide the tribes into a world-spanning ritual, a telepathic connection was made, and the Runen where welcomed into the Waptoria ages before the Euchada expected their would. The Runen would lend their telepathy to spread the empathic connection that already existed between the Raptoraneans to all other races. As the Age of Burning Dawn came to a close, the emphatic connection between all members had become so close it had become a true groupmind.

Meeno Grox Wars

Shortly after this, the Waptoria Alliance and Ughandorains were attacked by the newly-created Grox followers. They helped the Ughandorains to defend their homeworld, Ughandal, and drove the followers out. However, they returned after the Waptoria Alliance found a space station created by the Enlightened Ones. Calling the Ughandorians to aid them, the Waptoria Alliance fought against the followers, Dead Watch and Bio-Morphlings. Eventually, after the Meeno Grox themselves entered the battlefield, one final battle erupted, in with the station was destroyed. The meeno grox retreated, swearing to exterminate the Waptoria. The Waptoria alliance participated in the final battle of the New Grox Wars, and helped to defeat the Meta-Emperor. However, remnants of the Meta Empire weren't destroyed, such as the Meeno Grox, who joined the newly-formed Alpha Cyber Collective. The united Meeno-Alpha Grox forces then launched a massive invasion, with could only be stopped barely.

Nebulorian War

The Waptoria Alliance, and UFG became aware that the legendary Nebulorains were real, and planned to overthrow the empires in the Milky Way. Not wanting this to become an universal-wide war, the three forces decided to act before the Nebulorains could make contact with major empires. However, they had already allied the Unitech Citadel of Sapients and Dead watch. During this war, the Waptoria Alliance defended Volver worlds against Unitech attacks, while the others slowly destroyed the Nebulorain treat.

Second Infectant War

The Waptoria Alliance were once again called by the UFG, this time because the Infectants had been revived. They immediately accepted the call, and moved in for aid. Their first move was to rescue the Antroth from their homeworld, Farmia, with was under attack of the Infectants and their allies. They later helped the Antroth to reclaim it, however, and became aware the Grox Grand Dominion and their Bio-Morphling and Dead Watch allies were aiding the Infectants. Thus, they did everything they could to stop them. When the Infectants struck at the main training centre of the UFG, they fought one last battle against the Infectants, defeating them forever.

Enlightenment War

After an assassination attempt on the w'tze, the Waptoria Alliance discovered a plan was being made by Volver renegades, Dead Watch and Unitech to conquer them and the UFG. They succeed in preventing this.

A while after this, The Citadel of Sapients, Dead Watch, Morphling Horde and Leviathan Hivemind attacked Ughandalore. Not being able to hold on this gigantic attack, the UFG called in their allies the NOVA, Waptoria Alliance and Brotherhood of Spode/UNoS. They fought hard, but could barely fend off wave after wave of undead, drones and synths. However, when Dead Watch accidentally re-awakened the Enlightened Ones, with joined the Federation side in defending the planet against the Grox Grand Dominion and their pawns, the chances shifted in favor of the defenders. The Dead Watch tried to undo this by infiltrating the EO mothership and blowing it up, but were stopped by the Proditkar Movement, a group of EO separatists. They manipulated the Dead Watch and Unitech into fleeing the planet ad abandoning the Grox Grand Dominion. The Morphlings, Grox Grand Dominion and Leviathan Hivemind suddenly found themselves alone, and called in the Tarmealox Hierarchy to serve as a distraction, allowing them to retreat safely. After their masters made it to safety, the Followers retreated, ending the Battle for Ughandalore.

However, the Grox swore revenge, and had the Leviathan Hivemind, Tarmealox and Kashriinox Collective attack the Federation and the Waptoria Alliance. The attacks continued for weeks, and as the Alliance could not fend them off at once, it drove them into desperation. However, salvation came when a Kashriinox Dreadnought was shot down near UFG space. After infiltrating it, the UFG and WAoS learned the location of the Kashriinox Base, used as a command center of the Collective. They, NOVA, UFG, the Spodists and the Enlightened Ones assaulted it, and eventually destroyed it, weakening the Grox severely and anding the War.

After this, the Federation, the Spodists, the NOVA and the WAoS joined together under the watchful eyes of the Ones in the Unified Alliance of Enlightenment.

The return of THEM

The Great Deciever

Waptorian involvement in the Katar Sector would start when their new allies, the Troodontid Empire, briefed the Waptoria on the presence of the Drakodominatus Tyranny there. After the culling of the Drakodominatus into the Dominatus, the Waptoria had asked their allies to keep an eye out, knowing that the hostile race would eventually recover from the massive population loss which accompanied the event. Now, it seemed, was that time. In unison with the Troodontids, the Waptoria began to send out probes to explore the sector, soon coming upon the Scientific Combine of Nakeimato. The Combine had only very recently begun to explore space themselves, and reminded the Waptorians no little bit of themselves back when they had started theor explorations. They thus would guaranteed the independence of the Combine, and impressed with the progress the Nakeimato had made in breeding war beasts and creating oozes, would tutor them purther along this path. The Waptoria set up colonies to serve as a buffer zone between the Combine and the rest of the sector, then continued exploring. To their south, they came into contact with the United Federation of Species, setting up trade and evetually entering into a military alliance. The United Federation of Species had also a defensive alliance with the Drodo Empire, so when Drakodominatus Tyranny set up the Hegemony of Exterioris and the Drodo to go to war against each other, this set off a chain reaction. The United Federation of Species joined the Drodo Empire against the Hegemony, resulting in attacks against them. This pulled in the Waptoria Alliance of Species on the side of the Drodo and in turn led to the Troodontids to join their side. The Hegemony, meanwhile, exploited a weapons trade dispute between the Drodo and the Miperiors Empire to gain local allies in the sector, as the Miperiors called in the Aeoneonatrix Empire, for whom they had build the controversial mind control weapon, and the Amphibibot Collective to defend their shared interests. What started as a minor security breach had quickly grown to become a full-blown war.

With the Waptoria now under attack from the Hegemony, the Enlightenment Collaborative threatened to intervene. If this would come to pass, Dominatus leadership knew, they would quickly enforce peace in favor of the Drodo, with none of participants substantially weaked. The Drakodominatus Tyranny thus fabricated evidence that the Collaborative planned to reassemble the Spear of the Apocalypse in Tyris Major and use it to end the war. Trough their Terpeschoire Spy Network, which also kept the war in Katar going, they then send this data from various terminals in Tyris Major and Mirus to the Galactic Protection Agency, acting as various non-profits and non-governmental organisations to convince the GPA into taking action. The compiled evidence, though false, proved to be very compelling, and so a GPA force drawn from the Duthidanian Empire, Cathonian Collective and Skarling Allied Systems set out to blockade all wormhole passageways out of Tyris Major. After losing the initial engangement, the Grand Republic of Tyris Major, hampered to no end by the Terpeshoires, fruitlessly sought a diplomatic solution to the resulting impasse. Without either state, the Unified Federation of Glory and Mendel Pact were not strong enough not break the blockade, and so the war in Katar dragged on. While a crusade fleet from the United Knights Alliance had managed to enter the Katar Sector before the blockade went up, the Tyranny made certain they pursued their own objectives instead of aiding the Waptoria, though were still on the side of the Drodo. To further keep the Drodo and Hegemony at each others throats, the Tyranny also send the Khilai Empire and Mardor against the United Knights Alliance and Aeoneonatrix respectively, the atrocities these pawns of the Tyranny committed souring the mood for peace talks on both sides. At the orders of the Tyranny, the Imperium of War began to indiscriminately raid both sides as a diversion once suspicions that the entire war was engineered reached a certain point.

Eventually though, the Drakodominatus overplayed their hand by setting up the Aeoneonatrix against the Troodontid Empire, hoping that the deep faith of the former would clash with the atheism of the latter. Instead, the ever-sceptical Troodontids managed to convince the Aeoneonatrix, who thought purely in terms of good and evil, that they had not comitted the actions they had been accused of. From there on out, it was relatively simple for the Troodontids to work out the role of the Tyranny in engineering the war by coming to the realisation that it had noy been the Imperium of War who had been giving orders to the Khilai and Mardor. Then Aeoneonatrix then made the mistake of rather innocently attempting to talk down the Drakodominatus Tyranny. Now that Dominatus high command was aware that their ploy had been discovered, they judged the individual strength of the involved states and decided that individually, they would stand no change against what the Dominatus had been preparing. This had been nothing more than the complete overhaul of their military since the culling, introducing Mrymidons to form the backbone of their new ground armies and kidnapping infants from across the Gigaquadrant to create the Overseers. Now these monstrosities would be unleashed.

The results were devastating. The participants of the war had been picked out as the testing ground for an Overseer legion each. For the Waptoria, this had been the Titans of Corpulus. Hence, within days, most of their once-verdant colonies in the Katar sector had been reduced to lakes of contaminated slime and primodial sludge. The Mardor and Khilai also turned on those they were supposedly working with, while the Imperium of war renewed their own assaults. With each power on the verge of military defeat, the Aeoneonatrix finally called for a conference between the Hegemony and the Drodo on the Aeoneonatrix homeworld of Ku-Rokti. Since the Aeoneonatrix most often sold their souls to their diety, the Cleanser, from a young age, it had been easy for them to root out any Terpeshoires within their midst, as their callous programming often clashed with what the Cleanser would compel a dedicated person to do. This time there would be no obstruction by the Tyranny, and thus a peace was reached. Thanks to the Aeoneonatrix, the Terpeshoire spy network would soon be erased from all empires involved in the war. This, too, meant that the Galactic Protection Agency finally lifted the blockade over Tyris Major and allowed supplies to reach the Waptoria, who had all this time been reliant on their Troodontid and Bastnliues allies in Cyrannus.

Not all was well though. The Troodontids, who had as great an influence in discovering the ploys of the Tyranny as had the Aeoneonatrix, were not invited to the talks, greatly misgrieving them. They withdrew from the war altogether, even signing a non-agression pact with the Drakodominatus Tyranny, promising only to help the Waptoria and other members of the Enightenment Collaborative, whom the Troodontids felt had never disrespected them. The Troodontids made good on their promise, aiding the Enlightenment Collaborative-Galactic Protection Agency battlegroup in penetrating deeply into Dominatus Katar, and helping them escape when they overextended themselves. The Tyranny had been dealt a blow, however small. Finally, there could be a bit of relief.

Attero Dominatus

Slave Revolt

While the Tyranny prepared new forces to end the Katarian resistence once and for all, this would ultimately now come to pass. Loyalty chips within the Drakodominatus Tyranny failed all at once due to a malfunction within their main AI, allowing their slaves to revolt. Caught unaware, not even the Overseers were capable of supressing the movement. The Waptoria Alliance immediately started to help the former slaves. Their ships would make deep incursions into Dominatus spaces, freeing as much slaves as they could, but not doing much actual damage to the Tyranny in return. One of the freed slave species were the Vanara of the United Persan Descendants. This gave the Waptoria and Persan a strong link from the very start, one which would not be severed in times since.

Eventually, however, the Tyranny was able to recover thanks to new marks of ships and the conversion of the remaining slaves into Biodrones. The Waptorian fleet was severely damaged escorting the Vanara to their old home, whereas the allied fleet from the Federation of Glory was cut off altogether. These guerillias would eventually break trough hostile lines, but their experiences would forever haunt them and later result in the breakaway of the Mendel Pact from the Federation. Much worse for the Waptoria, their home territories in the Mirus galaxy now lay on the front line against the Dominatus. This forced them to leave the resistance against the Dominatus in Katar in the hands of the United Free Peoples Coalition, a new arrival into the sector. While the Waptoria believed they could spare forces to aid the Katarians, the latter were not so confident. With events leading up to the formation of the Katar Sector Alliance, the Waptoria, Hegemony and Troodontid Empire were formally asked to withraw from the sector. Of the Free Peoples Coalition, Drodo Empire, United Federation of Species, Aeoneonatrix Empire, Miperiors Empire, Scientific Combine of Nakeimato, and Sindar Dominion who would go on to initially form the KSA, only the Nakeimato and United Federation of Species had been opposed to such a thing. That the Sindar had been in favor came to no surprise, but the Waptoria had come to see the others as allies. This event, known to the Waptoria as the Great Katarian Fiasco, would henceforth forever strain relations between Waptoria and most of the Katar Sector Alliance. Ironically, the former foes of the Waptoria, the Hegemony, had been unanimously asked to leave and thus found themselves in a very similar situation as the Waptoria did, something which helped greatly to smooth out any troubles that had existed between them.

Struggle for Survival

It was perhaps lucky that the Dominatus did not focus their early efforts upon the Mirus galaxy. Instead the battles continued to feel like a continuation of the Great Deciever campaign in most respects, fleets of MK I ships, hordes of Myrmidons supported by Steelhammer Class Main Battle Tanks and small contingents of Chiliarchs bearing down upon the Waptoria. Unlike the rest of Mirus, however, the Waptoria lay practically at the Tyranny's doorstep, and thus they faced all sorts of Overseers the Tyranny had to offer from the first, for their Overseer Citadels all were located within Dominatus Mirus. The Titans of Corpulus especially proved to be much more than mere a nuisance, the plagues they carried even more effective on the Waptorian Biotics than they would be on other organics. If there happened a new weapon to be tested, their location would also ensure the Waptoria to be the first test subjects. That they did not crumble under such tactics had everything to do with the adaptability of their Biotics. They evolved themselves at an extraordinary rate, sometimes even without the directive of the Waptorian Group-Mind, and invented deadly phages to unleash upon the Dominatus and their troops. Even military contingenst from the Imperium of War and Khilai Empire were not enough to give the Tyranny the advantage. Incredibly, the invasion stalled, as both sides bug themselves in. What followed was two years of trench warfare on an interstellar scale. The Waptoria and their allies could not defeat the Dominatus, but they could stall them and hope someone else was capabale of the feat.

This changed in the second quarter of 2793, when MK II ships would finally begin to make their appearance upon Mirusian battlefields. Myrmidons where beginning to be phased out in favor of Chilliarchs, and new Synthetics took the once elite spot the Chilliarchs had held. In truth, the Chilliarchs had not ceased to be any less elite, and so the Dominatus fleets eventually broke trough the established lines. Proto-Warlords followed by Proto-Juggernauts were introduced by the Dominatus with devastating effect. The Waptoria had to give ground, losing thousands to become Biodrones at the hands of new, cruel masters. It was at this stage that the Waptoria fully focussed on other forms of warfare than open battle, seeking to chip away at Dominatus might with whatever means they could. From the embers of the Galactic Protection Agency, the Waptorian finally uncovered the evidence which proved that it had been Tyranny Terpeschoires which had altered the origonal Hegemony battle plans for the Great Deciever Conflict to turn the Khilai away from their once-allies, just as it had been Tyranny Terpeschoires who had amended the plans from afar to gain their allegiance. As the Tyranny left the conquest of the Waptoria mainly to its auxiliaries still, getting into contact with the Khilai Empire did not prove to be very challenging. Convincing them that the Waptoria spoke the truth was much more difficult to archieve however, but was eventually done after showing the Khilai emperor myriad other exemples of Dominatus deception, not least of which had befallen the Waptoria itself in times past. The Khilai Empire agreed to stand down, though this time, the Dominatus offensive only slowed rather than stalled. Then, suddenly, the Tyranny pulled back its military. Elsewhere in Mirus, the Anti-Dominatus Coalition, drawn from agross of Gigaquadrant, had finally struck.

Mirus Campaign

Unlike many other Mirusian states, the Waptoria Alliance of Species was well connected to beyond the Mirus galaxy. Of the anti-Dominatus Coalition, the New Cyrannian Republic, the forces of Tyris Major, the Katar Sector Alliance, and even their old foes the Hegemony launched an operation to relieve the still beleaguered Waptoria. This force was also planned to include the Katar Sector Alliance, but they had been tied up by troubles at home and the vanishing of the Aeoneonatrix. This to the Waptoria proved the incompetence of the KSA as well as the belief that, if they had not been forced to pull out of Katar, the sector would not be in a dire a shape as it now was. The Combine of Nakeimato and the United Federation of Species, true to their oath to support the Waptoria once the Tyranny in Katar had been dealt with, had send whatever meagre forces they could muster, but of the rest of the KSA there was no sign. The Waptoria had also assumed that the Aeoneonatrix would be there in time for the final push, perhaps not for them, but certainly to take out or cleanse the remaining Dominatus. They were not. The absence of the KSA ensured that the relief force took longer than expected to rout the Impium of War which was still sieging the Waptoria, and without substantial KSA aid they did so with greater losses than had been planned for, both for the relief fleet and the Waptoria.

Regardless, with the Imperium of War driven off, the Waptoria managed to build up their army and navy up to strength again, joining the Mirus campaign in bulk at the Battle of Chimera and later defending alosngside the rest on the Anti-Dominatus Coalition in the Second Battle of Manticore. The Waptoria would fight vigorously against the Drakodominatus Tyranny in the months that followed, but were often esclipsed in this by the Mendel Pact. This was of little concern to the Waptoria, as they had held the line for the Mendel to strike, and therein lay glory enough. The intervention of the neutral Apalos also greatly bolstered Waptorian morale, as this meant they no longer had to spend much of their effort on evacuating wildlife from planets in the path of the war. Apalos, at least for the moment, would do it for them. A substantial setback would come when the Dominatus launched Operation Twilight of the Gods which saw the Mirusian and Hegemony vanguard fleets almost completely decimated. Yet they refuse to be encirceled, protecting their leadership trough daring feats of heroism. This eventually resulted in the Battle of the Terminus, which made clear to the Dominatus that capture of Mirusian command would more time than they had available. The Dominatus retreat to re-establish defesive lines, allowing the remainder of the fleets to utimately escape doom.

Back and forth the war went, and on it ground, but it ground inorexably against the Dominatus more than it did so against their foes. Realising they were losing, the Dominatus turned to ever more desprate measures, releasing the dreaded Ogre tanks upon the battlefields of Mirus, replacing their light vehicles with synthetic Mecha, and turning what remained of their Overseers into one-man armies, whereas the Dominatus themselves became even more fearsome than that. While many of these measures initially worked, workarounds were always found due to the myriad of diverse technologies the Anti-Dominatus Coalition had at their disposal. So it was that the excruciatingly slow defeat of the Drakodominatus Tyranny loomed ever closer. In the final offensive, the Overseer Citadels would be taken, the Waptoria providing the main body of troops which would conquer Buebonicus, homeworld of the hated Titans of Corpulus and thus gaining a claim upon the surrounding Pestis subsector. They would also play an important role in driving the Doombringers of Fenris and Leviathans of Scyllraken from their respective homeworlds, helped with the conquest of Wuj'Uff, citadel of the Impalers of Skali'Draz, and give air support during the battle for Sybaris, citadel of the feared Sons of Hedon. Finally, the path to Demogorgon Prime lay open and victory over the Drakodominatus Tyranny was in Waptorian grasp. A final push onto Demogorgon Prime was all that remained.

Battle of Demogorgon Prime

The Waptorian army was part of the second wave to land upon Demogorgon Prime, establishing a main airhead in Vestibon, and two smaller airheads in Muspel and Nifl. At this point, the Waptoria were certain that a single planet, no matter how well defended, could not stand against half a Gigaquadrant. The doom of the Dominatus was assured no matter where the Waptoria made their enlodgements. Thus they descided to place theirs as far away from the sole city of Malogenesis as possible, in the relative quiet of the planet's wilds. This did not mean that the place was any less dangerous. Whereas others has to contend with the last and most ferocious of the Dominatus, Overseers and Synthetics, the Waptoria fought against the planet's Colossi alongside their Miperiors and Vanara allies. It was their duty to prevent the wildlife from overrunning the allies encampments. The wildlife of Demogorgon Prime was savage and gene-bred by the Dominatus to be a fierce and disturbing as possible, as incurred much more losses than allied command had hoped for. Nevertheless, repulsing and subduing them was a job to which the three powers were well suited, and resulted in slightly less casualties than others, but few honors. By the time of the Tyranny's surrender, much of the other inhabitants of the planet had also been broken.

Compared to other empires which had fought the Drakodominatus Tyranny from the very beginning to the very end, the Waptoria did not recieve many spoils of war. This was rather due to their own actions. Whereas other members of the Anti-Dominatus Coalition where busy convincing former Tyranny military personnel to join their states, crack open the databases of the Tyranny's Installation, the Waptoria occupied themselves with evacuating the wildlife of Demogorgon Prime ahead of the allied glassing of that world. It was a race against time which left them no time for salvage, but in the end left Demogorgon Prime a nigh lifeless corpse of a planet which could safely be glassed without the loss of any more lives.

Though the Waptoria would gain no Overseers, Synthetics, enormously powerful weaponry or anything similar from the war, they did gain a powerful asset in the Terpeshoire spy network. While many Terpeschoires would be recruited by organisations such as Imperial Intelligence before the Waptoria could track them down, they did sucessfully locate and sway the Terpeschoires embedded within their own ranks and those of their Enlightement Collaborative allies to continue their work, this time simply for the Waptoria. They would further recruit a number of the essence-attuned Sirens into their ranks, bolstering their already formidable spy netork. The Waptoria chose not to terminate the Biodrones grafted by the Dominatus from their citizens and Biotics, instead putting them on stasis until they could restore them to their original forms.

Culture

If there is one thing which characterises Waptorian culture, it is their mindfulness of and dedication to the ecology of the worlds they deem under their protection. Indeed, so important is this notion that the Waptoria only settle on a select number of worlds within their borders, which form their administrative capitals. The vast mayority of the worlds they claim as theirs are uncolonised, though where possible, most are home to at least some form of life. The Waptoria especially prefer to turn dead worlds into veritable paradises which they then seed, though they take care not to disrupt worlds on which life has already naturally developped. The twin processes of terraforming and seeding are thus only done after a great deal of deliberation. Contrary to popular belief, the biospheres of these world vary widely - though the Waptoria themselves prefer jungle, savannah, mountane forest, and island worlds. Likewise, the Waptoria prefer to adapt to the biomes and enviornments around them, rather than have these adapt to them. As a result, they lack the massive farms which characterise the agricultural worlds of other empires. Instead, food is gathered in a somewhat primitive fashion, or grown from the cellular lever up in hermetically sealed hydrophonics farms. This is because Waptorian culture abhors death and suffering and they thus prefer not to hunt or grow something only to slaughter it at a later date. Aside from that, though, the Waptoria have little to no restrictions on exactly what they eat, as long as it is organic. Recources are mainly extracted from lifeless planets and shipped to inhabited ones, though there is some mining done on inhabited words as well to provide for the necessary resources in a pinch. Energy is generated in strategic locations such as around waterfalls, deep within deserts or on top of stable and reflective ice sheets where the enviornmental disruption is minimal. Likewise, the Waptoria lack any true Ecumenopolises or even mega-cities, instead carefully planning housing to integrate fully into the enviornment. This limits any true strain on the enviornment and also allows the Biotics to get to gathering, mining or operating the solar pannel arrays without having to travel very far. Though this sometimes puts such settlements in rather strange locations, such as on mountaintops or even underwater, these Organic Paradises, as they are known, are almost completely sealed from the outside by domes and ray shielding to limit pollution, and tailored to be perfact for their inhabitants in almost every concievable way.

Ironically, given that the Waptoria do even remotely overhunt their worlds or excessively mine for resources, poaching is perhaps the most common crime on their worlds due to the sheer amount of poachable species and materials. The Waptoria are highly agressive towards poachers, and much iof their sophisticated intelligence network is geared towards preventing peaching and apprehending the poachers instead of spying on the populace or aliens. Together with their dedication to not harm wildlife, even in times of war, and their utter apprehension of killing, this makes the Waptoria commonly seen as "weak" by many warrior cultures, even though they are anything but.

The Waptoria believe that there is an inherent balance to the ecosystem of each world and that they themselves are in essence no different from any other froms of life. As such, their notion of a "galactic biosphere" strongly influences their foreign policy and they take care not to disrupt it unless one proves to be the galactic equivalent of an invasive species. Even then, the Waptoria attempt to integrate the invaders into the galactic web first, only taking to force beyond their borders once this has failed.

Sectors

The Waptoria Alliance of Species is divided into a number of sectors, known as Nerves. Each is centered around an sector capital known as a Central Node and governed by a Node-Orator, a Biotic gene-tailored for this job. They are rather large compared to the ectors and provinces of other empires due to the Waptoria's prudence in settling worlds. The Sectors are:

  • Waptoria - The central sector of the Waptoria within Mirus, the Waptoria Sector contains Waptoria, adminstrative capital of the entire Waptoria Alliance of Species. The Waptoria Nerve is the most densely populated out of all sectors, filled to the brim as it is with Gaia Worlds. In this regard, the world of Waptoria stands out from it's fellow Gaia worlds due to the presence of foreign embassies and the sprawling administrative complexes inside it's domed Paradises. Waptoria straddles the line between a Gaia World and a true Ecumenopolis, as its Organic Paradises are so numerous that they aren't far apart from one another, though they are located in such a pattern that nature is still abundant. The Waptoria Nerve produces a variety of goods, from basic foodstuffs and minerals to more exotic goods such as rare earth elements. Due to the variety of specialisation amongst its world, the sector is, notably, self-sufficient.
  • Viel - Centered around Viel, homeworld of the Liev species, the Viel Nerve sits to the galactic west of the Waptoria Nerve. It is rather unchanged since its inception, its worlds still possessing mostly possesssing the tropical climates the Liev terraformed them into long ago. Given it's closeness to the Waptoria Nerve, its lack of Gaia Worlds is striking. This is is deliberate, for the Liev have always pushed for the creation of the neighbouring Waptoria sector, which redirected much of the immigration into the Waptoria away from Viel. As such, the Viel Nerve is overwhelmingly rural, almost rustic, with Viel itself being given over to planetery gathering, it's neighbouring worlds of Tree Vale and Cloudy Canopy possessing many small-scale mines solar panel arrays respectively. The other planets, such as the savannah world of Lonely Tree and the boreal world of Evergreen, do not specialise in any one natural resource, though the temperate world of Orchards is known, rather fittingly, for its production of many fine beverages.
  • Euchadios - On the galatic east of the Waptorian Mirus holdings, the Euchadios Nerve is named after the world of of the same name, home of the Euchada species. Euchadios is a large water world, dotted with atols, extensive coral reefs and isles of floating seaweed. The Euchada have kept similar worlds in the same condition, though also have terraformed many others from scratch, resulting in the Euchadios Nerve having the second largest amount of Gaia Worlds after the Waptoria Nerve. These worlds lend themseves to the production and synthetisation of several rare elements, with non-Gaia worlds largely given over to commerce.
  • Livingsoil - The Livingsoil Nerve is the smallest Waptorian Nerve in Mirus, guarding the hyperlanes to the former Imperium of War. Originally peripherally part of the Viel Nerve, its original inhabitated worlds were blown up by the Imperium of War during an attempt long ago by to conquer and enslave the Liev. Since then, new worlds have been terraformed, though much different than others, as even the smallest and simplest organisms seeded upon these newly-habitable worlds was a Biotic, essentially making the planets themselves part of the Waptorian groupmind and known as Mind-Worlds. As the soil itself would rise up to attack any would-be invaders, the region became essentially worthless to the Imperium, while the Waptoria dug in, constructing massive underground cloning bays, outfitting the worlds with planetary shielding, and populating them with complex and sapient Biotics, before splitting them off to be a new Nerve and highly effective buffer zone. Though the Imperium of War is gone nowadays, the Livingsoil Nerve and it's Central Node of Livingsoil remain a military stronghold from which most Waptorian armies are recruited. Likewise, the shattered remains of the worlds destroyed by the Imperium of War form an important source of minerals to the Waptoria, however tragic the way by which they came to be.
  • Pestis - Originally part of the Drakodominatus Tyranny, the Pestis Nerve is, ironically, one of the more populated sectors of the Waptoria Alliance. The Waptoria gained the sector from the Draconid Imperium in the aftermath of the pan-Mirusian struggle against the Xonexi Allies, though they had always laid claim to it ever since the Dominatus' defeat. Whereas the Xonexi Allies and most Mirusians chose to fully restore the industrial Ecumenopolises, the Waptoria instead re-introduced nature to claim its due. Hence, most of the planets within the Pestis Nerve are either Death Worlds scarred by radiation and nuclear war where life only slowly spreads, or even more so, Relic Worlds dominated by slowly crumbling and overgrown planet-wide cities. The Waptoria have cleared out parts of these cities to make place for their Organic Paradises, though there exist enough arcologies for the Pestis sector to single-handedly produce most of Waptorian alloys and consumer goods. The Central Node of the Pestis Nerve is the Relic World of Ysernia, its arcologies uniquely decicated to leisure, though its most important world is the wildlife preserve of New Demogorgon, which houses the flora and fauna evacuated by the Waptoria from Demogorgon Prime during it's glassing. The Pestis Nerve also houses most of the Waptorian shipyards, producing most Biotic ships though these usually dock in the Livingsoil anchorages.
  • Raptoranea - The most important extra-Mirusian holding, the Raptoranea Nerve is the domain of the semi-autonomous Raptoranean Matriarchy. Located in Tyris Major, the sector's planets are mostly uninhabited, even more than is the case in the other Waptorian Nerves. The Central Node of the Raptoranea Nerve is Raptoranea, a mangrove-rich world with shallow seas filled with kelp forests. It is the homeworld of the Raptoranean species, though of course the homeworlds of their relatives are inhabited as well. Only a few other worlds have been colonised, and serve as ecological Resort Worlds. Unlike the spread-out population encountered on other Waptorian worlds, those on the resort worlds in this sector tend to be densely packed together, allowing these worlds to both house a fairly great population and remain pristine outside of these few population centers. Of particular note is Spring Vale, a world largely covered in glaciers, but with pockets of jungle in glacial valleys centered around hot springs. Spring Vale attacts many who come to visit its isolated valleys and the unique wildlife therein, though most of the valleys remains off-limit. Spring Vale also boasts a famous Cryo-Revitalisation center, idyllic hotels to accomodate visitors, and branch offices run by the Violaven Union including an exotic food chain, collaborative biolabs, and a Violaven outreach agency, but is otherwise completely preserved in it's natural state. An massive Aeoneonatrix-funded megachurch to the Cleasner also used to be a great attraction on Spring Vale, but was repurposed into a zen garden and Violaven-sponsored retreat for high-standing individuals of the Enlightenment Collaborative after it turned out the preachers had been illegally attempting to have converts sell their souls.
  • Rainarch - The Rainarch Nerve is centered around the Central Node of Rainarch in Quadrant 21. Located in between the Xenobrood Hive and Icolian space, the Rainarch Nerve is almost as small as the Livingsoil Nerve and about as militant. Though Rainarch itself is a Gaia Worlds and houses all the Bio-Wards of the Nerve, the other planets of the Rainarch Nerve are all Mind-Worlds. They are not as militarised as the Mind-Worlds of the Livingsoil Nerve however, as large tracts of them are given over to argiculture, mining operations and energy generation. Settled by the Raptoranean Matriarchy before it's unification with the greater Waptoria Alliance, Rainarch itself is amost as greatly populated as the capital world of Waptoria and a bustling center of trade besides, as it is connected to the Nebulon wormhole plateau of the NOVA Alliance.
  • Malu'h'a - Likewise founded by the Raptoranean Matriarchy before its unification with the greater Waptoria Alliance, the Malu'h'a Nerve of the Cyrannus Galaxy is almost entirely devoted to research and technology. This is due to its proximity to the technologically-minded Waptorian allies of the Troodontid Empire. Strangely, it is also more outwardly spiritual than any other Node, embracing certain Oikoumene as messengers of the divine. The Central Nerve of Malu'h'a not a Gaia world as might be expected, but a mountainous world instead, largely given over to cloud forests, fungal groves and enormous bamboo glades. It also uses its spaceous underground caverns spaceous enough to house both defense forces of the planet and the Sector Navy. During the New Cyrandia Wars, the Malu'h'a Nerve hailed the Oikoumene known as the Vector of Chaos as their deliverer from the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus, earing them the latters wrath during the Second Great Cyrannus War. The Malu'h'a Nerve is currently under the military control of the Empire, though its fleet has avoided destruction, and its scientists have found refuge with their Troodontid allies. While they have since replaced their faith in the Vector of Chaos with that of the Vector of Light, the survivors of the Malu'h'a Nerve remain as opposed to the Empire as ever.
  • Chrysanthemum - The Chrysanthemum Nerve, centered around the Orbital of Chrysanthemum, is located in Segmentum Umbra of the Andromeda Galaxy. It contains only nine systems, and is almost entirely envelopped by the Crystalline Hive. This has forced the node to be particularly adaptive. Its Biotics and Bio-Wards of the Chrysanthemum Node uniquely all live in swarms of climate-controlled orbital habitats and larger structures besides, not settling on any planets to avoid the unwanted gaze of the Crystalline neighbours. These habitats are covered in crystal materials and release an electric field to mimic the Crystallines' own Crystal Nidus space-stations to perfection, while the Nerve spaceships likewise use a crystal covering and electric signals to remain undetected to the Hive. Due to their belligerent neighbours, few other empires even dare to come close, and as such the Nerve is almost entirely focussed on high-tech and secret military research that might be discovered elsewhere, as well as remaining hidden.
  • Reclamation - The Reclamation Node, centered around the Relic World of Omgama, is unique in that it is not named after its Central Node, but for the Nerve's mission. Located in the Varapha Subsector of the once-bustling Katar Sector of the Milky Way Galaxy, the Waptoria had colonised this exact location once before. However the Waptoria as well as all other extragalactics were forced to abandon the sector, in name to better fight the Drakodominatus Tyranny on their home fronts but in reality due to an isolationist sentiments by in the runup to the formation of the Katar Sector Alliance. After the vanishing of the Aeoneonatrix and the Lightning War, the Katar Sector Alliance broke apart and was largely absorbed into the upcoming Xonexi Allies. With all native Katarian powers either gone, in heavy decline, or migrated away, the Katar Sector stands almost empty nowadays. With nothing to stop them, the Waptoria Alliance is ready nowadays to reclaim their old territory and more. After all, though fate might take many unexpected twists and turns, those who persist will evetually be the last left standing...

Society

Waptorian society is divided in only two groups: Biotic and Bio-Wards. The Waptorian Biotics are genetically engineered and fully sentient creatures, first created to prevent poaching on Waptorian wildlife sanctuaries, since the Waptoria lacked the manpower to do so on their own, and them to replace their existing military. Since then, Biotics have diversified enormously, having taken over manual labor and then most levels of government. As such, Waptorian society is nowadays mostly run by the Biotics. Bio-Wards, meanwhile, constitute the original inhabitants of the Waptoria Alliance of Species. They still form the higest levels of government, most notably politics and policy-making, as well as being responsible for the flourishing of arts, culture and sciences within the Waptoria. With Biotics willing taking over all tiresome work, Bio-Wards can focus themselves fully on those things which for most aliens would be concidered leisure activities. Though Bio-Wards can commands Biotics, there is otherwise little hierachy to be found within the Waptoria. There are no classes amongst Bio-Wards and they function as a direct democracy. Indeed, the Waptoria were an anarcho-communistic society long before the first Biotics took over the administrative layers of gevernment. The ideals that came with this also had a large impact on how the Biotics function. Since Waptorian Biotics function as a superorganism, hierarchy is a foreign concept to them as descisions are made entirely democratically. After all, imput from all drones gives a clearer mental map of any situaltion that the imperfect imput of one, or even a few. In descision-making, both Biotics and Bio-Wards wield an equal amount of influence. After all, Biotics are far removed from a slave species, even designed as they are to tend to every need of their Bio-Wards.

All citizens of the Waporia Alliance are mentally connected to each other by means of an emphatic groupmind, which allows them to feel each other's emotions as easily as smell or sight. Members of the Waptoria prefer to share all memories and thoughts with each other. They are completely honest with each other about their thoughts and their reasons for those thoughts. As a consequence, there is a great amount of understanding amongst the members of the Waptoria Alliance. While Waptorians can hide their thoughts, they not wish to do so, even those that do not follow the norm, with their reasoning for differing thoughts being completely undstood. The groupmind is only strongly used for governmental fuctions, which requires consensus as per Waptorian basic law, for the diplomatic and ecologic corps, and for the military. In all other aspects, is still very much akin to the emphatic connection it once was.

Rather that there are planets with only one species on it, the Waptoria Alliance has multiple species living together, and hybrids are accepted, and sometimes even encouraged. Other then this, immigrants are also accepted into the alliance, as everyone can join them, as long as they treat nature well, and fight for the Good. The cities of the Waptoria Alliance are located in tropical rainforest and the plants grow at a rapid rate so the main energy supply is Bio-Fuel. It is the the law for normal citizens who, if they can, to produce Bio-Fuel every day. This keeps the Waptoria Alliance running regularly.

Jazz, Reggae and Psychedelic Music are the most popular music types the Waptoria Alliance.

Government

The Waptoria is not a single unified government but a vast interlocking array of various species and administrative zones, referred to as "Nodes", represented by a Node-Orator. The Waptoria Alliance of Species as a whole is referred to as "the Web" by it's members and is prepresented on the galactic and intergalactic stages by a Web-Speaker. To prevent friction between species, the Node-Orators and Web-Speakers are genetically engineered organisms created specifically for their fuctions. They serve as lynchpins for the groupmind that ties the whole Alliance together and serve to give voice by it. Since the groupmind is based on consensus, with each citizen having an equal amount of influence, unhappiness with the system is rare. Of course, no system is perfect and there are inviolable limitations: no member can ever have more influence than any other (though those most knowledgable on a sertain subject may cast their influence first), and nothing can be done to make the Waptoria anything less directly democratic or ecological. These tenets form some of the core beliefs of the Waptoria and are almost universally agreed on by it's citizens.

Another restriction is that the Node-Orators and Web-Speaker spend most of their time in deep meditation, listening to the groupmind, and can therefore themselves not actually covern. To this end they have a set of representatives underneat them which do this work for them. These representatives are directly elected by the people with no middlemen in between as he Waptoria see this as blighting the process.

On a galactic scale, the Waptoria most commonly allign themselves with green and communist movements, though they reject those of authoritarian strain due to their preference for direct democracy. They are of course known as vocal supporters of ecological awareness, species' rights and are important backers of various galactic terraforming projects which, according to their opponents, they use to spread their influence.

Religion

The most known of the Waptoria's believes is their striving for the philosophical concept they call the Greater Good. This belief in the Greater Good makes the Waptoria a peaceful empire when possible, asking if others will join their cause voluntarily instead of fighting. The Waptoria's central motivating ideal is that everyone in their empire regardless of their species will work for the collective betterment of nature and every living being, an almost mystical philosophy they call the Greater Good.

The Waptoria Alliance share a close bond with nature, referring to it as "The Mother of all" or the "Lifemother"and it is the mission of all to protect and aid their mother. As such, they worship a goddess, Mother Nature or the Lifemother, with is the incarnation of nature and life in all it's forms and the balance that connects them all.

Technology

The Waptoria, due to it's goals, mainly focusses on terraforming technology and is the leading power in Mirus in this field, far surpassing all others. They tend to sell this technology quite cheaply to others, though they only give their more advanced and potent technologies to those whom they feel their can trust to use it justly.

Annother thing the Waptoria are notable for is their success in genetic splicing. Though slightly less adanced than their terraforming technology, this branch allows the Waptoria to heavily influence the evolution of almost any lifeform they desire and also allows them to create their own organism to suit almost any task imaginable. Indeed, all Waptorian technology is created from such living, highly specialised, and largely complex sets of interlocking symbiotes which they call "Biotics". This technology ranges from everyday items to even the soldiers, verhicles and military equipent of the Waptoria. Furthermore, most technology can establish direct communication with the user by means of neural melding. The devices thus work by means of the owner mentally sending commands to it, though the devices can object by projecting their own emotions and memories and a consensus must hence be reached. This for exemple prevents a Waptorian soldier, verhicle or weapon from firing outside of hostile situations, for they possess minds of their own that are purposefully pacifistic. It creates a great sense of attachment from users to their equipment and vice-versa, preventing a trow-away culture from taking hold.

However all this also means that the Waptoria have regresssed enormously when it comes to metallurgy and their fields of cybernatics and robotics are not well developped at all.

Military

From equipment to the actual soldiers, the Waptorian military is, as stated above, entirely made up of organic Biotics that symbiotically interface with one another to operate. Other organics are completely exempt from military service. While Biotics form the military in times of war, in times of peace even those who are nominally soldiers reconfigure themselves into other roles such as wildlife adaption. Since going to war means less Biotics to care for their Bio-Wards, neither the Biotic consciousness nor the Waptoria as a whole prefers to be bellicose, only acting out against empires which purposefully harm or destroy biospheres, such as the Grox, or prevent their re-emergence, such as France when restarting the heavily polluting industrial facilities of the Drakodominatus Tyranny during the Mirusian Conflicts.

Since organic technology is generally less durable then it's non-organic equivalent, the Waptoria greatly prefer stealth, long-range combat and guerilia warfare. They furthermore prefer isolated engagements where they can take their enemies by surprise and only rarely will commit themselves to the field of battle in bulk. Aside from soldiers, verhicles and equipment, infiltrators form a vital element of the Waptorian militray strategy, working behind the scenes to discourage potential enemies from waging war or relaliating. These shapeshifters have the ability to split off identical copies of themselves, which stay in a state of topor intil they transfer their own consciousness to it when caught.

All Waptorian equipment is strictly non-lethal for it is the Waptorian belief that to take a life is the gravest sin imaginable. In wartime, the Waptoria hence end up with a great amount of captives, which are send to re-education camps until the war is concluded.

Protectorates

Colony Just as a tree has many branches, many Webs make up the greater one.

  • Raptoranean Matriarchy - Officially an integrated member state of the Waptoria still, the leadership of the Queen of Thorns over the Matriarchy saw them take a more indepedent course.
  • Sovereignty of Ak - An tribal polity, the Sovereignity of Ak relies upon the Waptoria to deal with the Gigaquadrant on it's behalf.
  • Scientific Combine of Nakeimato (shared ideologies, open borders, trade routes, joint exploration, defensive pact, extensive collaboration, shared strategic recources, lasting friendship) - Though not technically a protectorate as a non-Enlightenment federated entity, Nakeimato is safeguarded as such by the Waptoria after the Katar Sector Alliance's collapse, much like it was before the KSA's formation.
  • Maracai Triumvirate (cultural exchange, open borders, joint exploration, defensive pact) - The Waptoria guarantee the Maracai's ancient way of life can continue without meddling from the KSA.

Federated

Sword&Shield With them and within them, we have found symbiosis!

  • Enlightenment Collaborative - The Waptoria were one of the founders of this alliance.
    • United Persan Descendants (shared ideologies, open borders, trade routes, joint exploration, defensive pact, mayor collaboration, shared stractegic recources, lasting friendship) - The Waptoria were the primary contributor in freeing the Vanara from the Dominatus, and the UPD this remain their closest allies.
    • NOVA Alliance (partially shared ideologies, open borders, defensive pact, shared strategic recources, lasting frienship) - Situated in a important wormhole plateau in deep space between galaxies, the NOVA Alliance are important trade partners of the Waptoria, though old Waptorian support for the defunct NOVA Bio-Nation sometimes causes minor friction still.
    • Mirusian Theocratic Congregation (similar ideologies, open borders, trade routes, joint exploration, defensive pact, mayor collaboration, shared strategic recources, lasting friendship) - The Waptoria enjoyed a strong friendship with the religiously isolationist Brotherhood of Spode, which has carried over into the Mirusian Theocratic Congregation.
    • Federation of Glory (similar ideologies, open borders, trade routes, joint exploration, defensive pact, mayor collaboration, shared strategic recources, lasting friendship) - Though relations between the Federation and Waptoria were initially not always harmonious, the two states currently preside over a strong collaboration.
    • Mendel Pact (similar ideologies, open borders, trade routes, joint exploration, defensive pact, mayor collaboration, stared strategic recources, lasting friendship) - While the Mendel see the Waptoria as too soft on their foes, and the Waptoria view the Mendel as overly headstrong, the two states enjoy a friendly cameraderie.
    • United Knights Alliance (cutural exchange, open borders, trade routes, joint exploration, defensive pact, mayor collaboration, stared strategic recources, lasting friendship) - Waptorian outreach to the UKA was initually unfruitful until Liberation of Farmia, after which they grew much closer.
    • Grand Republic of Tyris Major (similar ideologies, open borders, trade routes, joint exploration, defensive pact, mayor collaboration, stared strategic recources, lasting friendship) - The Waptoria has always sought to serve as a mediating force between the UKA and the GRTM, though has always leaned towards the latter.

  • Troodontid Empire (defensive pact, open borders, trade routes, extensive collaboration, joint exploration, shared strategic recources, lasting friendship) - Though the industrial Troodontids are at first glance total opposites of the nature-loving Waptoria, their relations are the tightest out of all non-Enlightenment Collaborative states.
  • Algolurn Popular Republic (shared ideologies, defensive pact, open borders, trade routes, joint exploration, mayor collaboration, shared strategic recources, lasting friendship) - The Waptorian collaboration with the Algolurn is primarily ideological, though recently the Algolurn have also begun to produce weaponry for the Waptoria - to Waptorian specifications, of course.
  • Monarchopod Coagulative Government (shared ideologies, open borders, minor collaboration, shared strategic recources, open borders, lasting frienship) - The Monarchopods were possible created by the Multus as the Waptorian equivalent of the Milky Way. This has, over the years, created both rivalry and deep friendship between the two.

  • New Cyrannian Republic (similar ideologies, open borders, joint exploration, defensive pact, lasting frienship) - While the Waptoria would like to ally the New Cyrannian Republic, they deem that state too vast to be dealt with monolithically.
  • Xonexi Allies - The Waptorian opinion of the Xonexi has improved greatly over the years.
    • Draconid Imperium (cultural exchange, peace treaty, non-aggression pact) - Draconis high culture, is as ever, popular within the Waptoria.

    • Skarling Allied Systems (restricted trade, restricted borders, minor shared strategic recources, peace treaty, non-agression pact) - The Skarling and Waptoria harbored great animosity towards one another before the former joined the GPA, which not even the Waptorian respect towards the GPA would fully solve.
  • Drodo Empire (closed borders, embargo, betrayed us) - The Waptoria sided with the Drodo during the Great Deciver conflict, but the two were never truly close.
  • Separatist Republic of Ciniade (small-time support) - The Waptoria tacitly supported the Separatist Republic as a means to weaken the Ciniade Coalition, though did not agree with them ideologically.

Unfriendly

Orange face If these beings have not wronged nature, then they at least have wonged us. Yet, symbiosis is still possible if an understanding is reached.

  • Katar Sector Alliance - as a whole - There is no federaion the Waptoria despised as much as the KSA, seeing their incompetent leadership as the main reason why the Katar Sector is in it's current nigh-empty state.
    • United Free Peoples Coalition (closed borders, embargo, betrayed us, collapsed) - The Waptoria were initially very supportive of the UFPC, and felt greatly betrayed when they forced them out of Katar.

    • Sindar Dominion (opposing ideologies, closed borders, embargo, enslavement of others, betrayed us) - The Waptoria see the Sindar as a prime exemple of unfettered capitalism, and their last remaining enemy in Katar with the KSA's collapse.
      • Ottali Concord (cultural animosity, closed borders, enslavement of others) - The Waptoria view these vassals of the Sindar as an oppressed people to be liberated.
  • Aeoneonatrix Empire (opposing ideologies, closed borders, cultural enslavement of others) - While the Waptoria might see the Aeoneonatrix as allies of convenience against the Void, they share absolutely no love for them.
  • Hermicee Legion (cultural animosity, disregarding neutrality, attacked us, diplomatic refusal) - The Waptoria are glad the Hermicee have migrated to the Chaordo dwarf galaxy.
  • Krill Swarm (disregarding neutrality) - The Krill Swarm was only ever a nuisance to the Waptoria.
  • Crystalline Hive (disregarding neutrality, slightly continued hostilities) - The Crystallines greatly intrigue the Waptoria, who have set up entire colonies to study these hostile lifeforms.

Enemies

Red face These beings have wronged us or nature to such an extent that symbiosis is deemed questionable. Yet a slimmer of hope remains.

  • Gigapedus Dominion (cultural animosity, closed borders, embargo, enslavement of others, disregarding neutrality, diplomatic refusal, continued hostilities) - The Waptoria are see some small similarities between themselves and the Gigapedus, greatly unsettling them.
  • The Hegemony (cultural animosity, closed borders, embargo, disregarding neutrality, betrayed us) - The Hegemony have betrayed or sided against the Watoria various times over, leading to great hostility.
  • Void Eye Empire (opposing ideologies, closed borders, embargo) - The Waptoria see the Void Eyes as a fudamentally ignorant force.
  • Khilai empire (former cultural animosity) - That the Khilai continue to use the Void greatly infuriates the Waptoria.
  • Ciniade Coalition of Sentients (closed borders, embargo, support of Waptorian rebels) - That the Citadel of Sapients even had strategic support at all greatly baffled by the Waptoria, but in hindsight the Ciniade Coalition's backing of the Matriachy's rebels was always apparent.

Blights

Crossed Swords Plants die and creatures go extinct wherever these foes of nature walk. They are blights and nothing more. Symbiosis is sadly deemed impossible.

  • Unitech Citadel of Sapients (opposing ideologies, closed borders, embargo, constant attacks, diplomatic refusal, at war) - The Citadel of Sapients represented a rebel movement of the Raptoranean Matriarchy, and as such, were mortal enemies of the Waptoria.
  • Meta Grox (opposing ideologies, closed borders, enslavement, disregarding neutrality, attacked us, diplomatic refusal, defeated) - The Meta-Grox Empire was a major and concistent foe of the Waptoria, only to be replaced with the Grox Grand Dominion after their Meta-Empror fell.
  • Grox Grand Dominion (opposing ideologies, closed borders, enslavement, disregarding neutrality, attacked us, diplomatic refusal, at war) - To the Waptoria, the Grox Grand Dominion is a more dangerous continuation of the Meta-Grox Empire.
  • Tarmealox Hierarchy (opposing ideologies, closed borders, embargo, disregarding neutrality, attacked us, diplomatic refusal, at war) - To gain the fickle favor of the Grox, the Tarmealox have attempted to conquer the Waptoria numerous times in the past.
    • Cult of Attzerry (heavy cultural animosity, closed borders, embargo, disregarding neutrality, diplomatic refusal, at war) - It stuns the Waptoria that the Grox had a cult dedicated to them.
