And in the Galaxy of the “great and mighty” Aoshanti, where we raised our mighty spears to the sky long ago, testing our mettle against ourselves, bringing the most righteous to the top, we found true purpose in our actions. But our games of blood and glory were halted by them. The Aoshanti, The so-called “benefactors”. It would be that they, in their desire of complacency, declared our combat... brutal. They labeled us savages. And when the revolution began, and we fought to keep our culture, they helped our lacking brethren push us from our homes into the dark night of space! In a sense, we should thank them, however. If it were not for their interference, we would not have found solace in this cold land. On this world, surrounded by ice and snow, I tell you all, my fellow Mesuí- True Mesuí- we will persevere. We will build an empire like the one dreamed of in old Messa’shir’s myths and legends. We will traverse the stars for our birthright. We will not be dominated. We will be dominant!

- Daplyr I of Vesidanya

The Vesidanya Sovereignty is a nation originating from the Ta’lashal Civil War of the Khanbaqir Solar Dynasty, preserving their ancient culture through intense combat, with most of the Mesuí watriors finding sadistic pleasure in their duty of slaughtering others. The Vesidanya, continuing to keep its culture alive, employs heavy amounts of slavery both within and outside its small borders.

History[]

The Schism of Ta’lashal[]

The Mesuí face dictation under the fist of the Aoshanti! This suppression of our ways, our very culture, the very thing that makes us Mesuí, cannot continue like this. In the way of our ancestors, we will fight! In the way of the Mesuí, we will fight! In the way of a new nation, born from our old ideals, we will fight! Our brothers may find themselves limp against a giant, but who has not heard the tale of Arvek and the Ice Wyrm? He defeated a beast hundreds of times his size through sheer tenacity and will to keep fighting. We are Arvek, and no matter how terrifying our odds against us may be, we will kill our Wyrm. We will bring Aoshanti-kind to their knees before a true master, a race of kings of kings! The heavens themselves will chant our names as we fight! Believe me, brothers and sisters! Our talons will be bloodied, and it shall be the blood of a falling giant! And it shall first fall here, in the muck of Ta’lashal!

- Janak IV of Ta’lashal

The revolution began for many reasons. The Stellar Kingdom’s lack of apathy for its outer planets. The watchful eyes of the mighty Aoshanti, peering into everything the Mesuí did as a vassal species, chained to work and foil for their masters. But most, in both the Stellar Dynasty and the Sovereignty, agree that a general shift in societal views was the final spark. A change from the old warrior codes of the Mesuí, originating from their homeworld and perpetuating through their civilization’s early space era.

The beginning of the revolution started on the swampy mire world of Ta’lashal. The militants quickly overwhelmed their Aoshanti/Mesuí brethren, bringing those who did not join their front against the massive empire onto their blades. They broadcast their message of revolt across the galaxy, letting all who could hear know that the Mesuí were a downtrodden race, their culture being taken from them as if it weren’t as important as the very air they breath.

Soon, many more worlds fell into a state of revolution, until an organized regime began to rise from the anarchy, the precursor to the Sovereignty that stands today, the Mesuí Separatist Movement.

The MSM, in opposition to both the Stellar Kingdom of Messa’shir and the Aoshanti, found harsh resistance from both their own race and those who they sought to dethrone. While they held the advantage of surprise in most scenarios, the leaders of the Separatists knew they could not last forever. They did not care, however, until they were forced to realize what a downwards slope they were in.

Fall of Nak’shyl[]

The Day of Realization, they would come to call it. They thought they held the upper hand, but in the end, they were a simple insurgency the Aoshanti dealt a killing blow with ease.
