At first, there was nothing. And from that nothing was born the flame. And from this flame, the first great dragons of fire came. Bringing warmth upon the cold land, they spread. And leading them was a dragon of great size and heart, and indeed, that first flame still burned deep within his heart.

- Unknown

Venertimanoth was the Old Colossus of Fire and the progenitor of the Fire Drakes. Among the first dragons to live at Koldenwelt and among the largest to ever exist in it, Venertimanoth was a righteous entity who sought to bring warmth upon the world, aiding its inhabitants as he did as well as expanding the landmasses of the young Koldenwelt so that these inhabitants could grow and develop.

The sworn enemy of the Old Colossus of Dark Siivhahzin, Venertimanoth died after his final battle with him due to severe wounds and a curse laid upon him by the Father of Linnwyrms, and since his death, the Fire Drakes have been growing less powerful and less massive with time.

History[]

Legends claim Venertimanoth was one of the first dragons to exist upon Koldenwelt's surface, born from the first sparks of flame upon the world. The source of his powers, his heart, possessed the power of creating numerous smaller and less powerful aspects of the gigantic dragon, who would be later known as the Fire Drakes. Legends also claim Venertimanoth worked alongside Tritonomarth in expanding the landmasses and seas of the world respectively for the purpose of giving more room for the ancient immortals to settle at. Venertimanoth made his nest at the Eastern Plains and was claimed to spend most of his time inside of a massive crater. Venertimanoth allegedly taught many ancient races of the world about how to use fire for creation rather than destruction, leading to the eventual invention of forges. Additionally, Venertimanoth and his Fire Drakes also combated the Void Denizens of the world as well as their masters, with the Old Fire Colossus being said to have never retreated from a battle with them. However, despite the threat that Caligaduro Provectus posed, Venertimanoth's worst enemy was not the Adversary but the Old Colossus of Darkness, Siivhahzin.

Siivhahzin's eternal hatred for True Dragons meant he desired to purge them all from the world, and Venertimanoth watched as thousands upon thousands of ancient dragons, including his Fire Drakes, died by the Siivhahzin's claws. Facing the original lindworm in combat numerous times, Venertimanoth finally succeeded in slaying his foe at around 26,500 BNA, but not before being cursed by Siivhahzin with a curse known as the "Curse of the Father", which slowly consumed his body and soul, and most importantly, caused his fire power to slowly but surely fade. Following hundreds of years of suffering, Venertimanoth ripped his own heart out and delivered it to Tritonomarth, instructing him to hide it away so it would not be tainted by the dark ever again. The great Fire Drake would finally perish at an unknown location, presumed far away from civilization, and his death caused a reaction upon the Fire Drakes which caused them to be consumed with greed, envy and hatred, the very same emotions most known to Siivhahzin.

Venertimanoth's heart is currently located at the south of the Slumbering Lands, protected by the New Fire Colossus Vulcardentron. However, the Curse of the Father is slowly causing the flames within the heart to fade, and with time, the Fire Drake race has shrank in size and became less powerful altogether. Unless something is done to revert this situation, the heart will eventually stop beating, and all Fire Drakes will be reduced to ash.

Characteristics[]

Appearance[]

Venertimanoth was by far the largest Fire Drake to ever exist in Koldenwelt, being over eight hundred meters tall from head to feet. His wingspan was said to be large enough to cover the skies, and his scales appeared almost cracked, glowing in an intense reddened aura due to the tremendous fire power inside of him. Venertimanoth possessed an impressive set of horns unseen in any Fire Drake and a great flame used to burn upon his head, which grew in intensity depending of the great dragon's mood.

Personality[]

Venertimanoth was a righteous creature who sought the protection of Koldenwelt's inhabitants. He had a fatherly bound to his Fire Drakes and showed great empathy for the non-draconic races of his time, gifting them the knowledge of how to use fire to improve their lives. Despite their opposing natures, Venertimanoth and the Old Colossus of Water Tritonomarth were said to be the best of friends with each other, periodically visiting each other in order to conversate and battling together against the forces of darkness which plagued the world at the time.

Abilities[]

As the Old Colossus of Fire, it is safe to assume Venertimanoth was one of the most powerful pyromancers of all time. His sheer presence was enough to cause the landscale to be wreathed in flames if he so wished, and his fire breath was said to be powerful enough to evaporate the very ocean. Venertimanoth was known to be able to create volcanos, which he used to increase the landmass of Koldenwelt in the past, and he could create Fire Drakes at will by molding his flames into a draconic form.
