MagiTech

Alchemy

Alchemy is a magitech principle that allows the Persan an impressive degree of control over physical matter. Alchemical technology is perhaps the form of magitech to receive the most use in Persan society to use to help harvest and refine raw material, construct and improve the quality of material goods, and even is used expressively in medicine to help heal wounds and cure sickness. By the far the most siginficant impact alchemical tech has had on Persan society is the creation of Alchemical Printers and Forges allowing for single individuals or a single small group to create large numbers of high-quality goods so long as they have the resources and blueprints for it. this has resaulted in Persan industry being largely built around large cooperative between multiple different craftsmen and cottage industries.

It should be noted that alchemical cannot create matter only manipulate preexisting materials and cannot transmute one element into another (so no turning lead into gold) only combine elements into new material or break materials down into their component elements. Ultimately alchemical technology is nothing more then the application of Accel Space based language and symbiology to manipulate physical matter and tends to manifest red magical circles with different alchemical symbols for different metals and other symbols such as sulfur or salt found within.

Astrology

Astrological Tech is the Persans primary means of accessing Accel Space. Thus it mainly acts as their primary means of achieving FTL travel and communications by transporting vessels and information through Accel Space. However, it also acts as a means to extend the range of Persan sensors to the point of being able to detect activity over a range of several lightyears and even creating pocket dimensions which the Persan can hide ships, stations, and orbital structures within. Astrological works via the application of Accel Space based symbiology and language to open up portals to the upper most levels of Accel Space and manipulate the space within. Astrological Tech tends to manifest blue magical circles filled with the symbols for various celestial bodies such as zodiacs and planets.

Sympathy

Sympathy is a basic form of magitech that allows for the Persan to create their cybernetics and various vehicles such as mechs and ships. By constructing things like cybernetic limbs and organs or vehicles such as mechs with things like synthetic skeletons, muscles, and nerves sympathetic technology can be applied to create entirely synthetic cybernetics and vehicles that are able to move with the same fluidity and grace as their organic counterparts and can even heal like them as well. Sympathetic Technology like all magitech manifests a magic circle, in this case the magic circle in question is yellow and is filled with symbols representing various parts of the body and different chemicals found within.

Geomancy

Geomantic Technology is the application of Accel based language and symbiology to manipulate the mana of planets. This is most commonly used to provide power by harvesting the planet's mana to fuel mana batteries and reactors. However, it can also be used to terraform planets by manipulating the mana to alter the environments and lifeforms living upon that planet the Persan mainly use this to not only irradiate environments for them to live in but also to mutate all living creatures on these planets into radiotrophic lifeforms. Geomantic magic circles are green in color and tend to be filled with the symbols representing different environments, natural phenomena, and parts of an ecosystem.

Theurgy

Theurgic tech is most likely one of the more mysterious and sometimes even sinister forms of Persan technology. It is used solely to create the Persan's demonic AIs which they use to help manage their vehicles, ships and colonies. These AIs are create by summoning a Stitch from the depths of Accel Space, binding them to a AI core, and placing certain restrictions upon the Stitch to prevent them from hurting anyone unless give expressed permission to. In exchange the Stitch AI must be kept fed and satiated necessitating ritual sacrifice usually in the form of blood tribute though sometimes whole animals must be sacrificed. Stitch AIs can also have other stipulations on their service such as being surrounded by objects and images which they heavily associated within. The conditions of the Stitch's servitude as an AI and the compensation it expects in return are officiated during the summoning and binding processes in the form of a construct. If due compensation is not given the Stitch is free to break its bonds and return to Accel Space or simply refuse to help. While this might all might seem-like far too much effort for other powers the Persan find it well worth the effort due the infinite processing power and memory storage (restricted only by the amount of information the Stitch is able to absorbed via limited material senses). Theurgic magic circles are purple in color and tend to have various goetic symbols manifesting within.

Military Tech

Energy Weapons

The UPD primary makes use of particle based gauss weaponry which uses electromagnets to fire particles, rather then solid slugs, at near lightspeed to destroy its enemies. These weapons come in three basic forms of pulse, beam, and positron. Pulse particle weapons fire individual particle pulses and are primary used by infantry or as secondary weapons on vehicles. Beam particle weapons fire continuous beams of particles (usually heavier ions) and are generally used as the main weapons on UPD vehicles and spaceships. Finally there are positron beam weapons which fire beams of anti-electrons to annihilate their targets. These weapons are the most powerful and heaviest weapons a Persan force can make use of and generally mounted only on capitalships as spinal weapons or on superweapons.

Laser weapons are a fairly niche form of weapon used by the UPD. Persan laser weapons make use of focused beams of light to transfer thermal energy directly into the enemy to do damage. While often portrayed in media as a laser cutter Persan laser weapons are actually fired as a rapid fire pulse that cause a sphere of plasma to form upon contacting the target. This plasma is formed from the vaporized armor of the target which then explodes to damage the enemy's internals effectively giving Persan laser weapons armor piercing abilities. The Persan use laser weapons primary as point defense weapons on starships and as anti-infantry weapons on vehicles. There are also laser blades form from hardlight to create weapons with blades mere atoms thick to be wielded by Persan infantry and mechs.

Phase Tech

Phase Missiles are missile that are able to phase through Accel Space to bypass enemy shields and point defense screens. Depending on their theater of war the Persan will outfit their phase missile with two different kinds of explosives. If fighting planet side then they use nuclear fusion based explosive and if fighting in space then they use anti-matter based explosives. Persan ground based phase missiles are classified either as Short Ranged Missiles used for direct fire and Long Ranged for indirect fire. Recently the Persan have developed phase based cruise missiles able to travel through Accel Space to strike targets lightyears away by scavenging from the remains of Xonexi Angelfire missiles, these missiles were named as Hellfire in mockery of the Xonexi missiles named.

Hull Phasing is a unique application of Persan Accel Space technology that allows them to send their vehicles and ships out of phase with regular space meaning that they cannot be detected or interacted with. Phase shifts the vehicle or ship into fast time allowing them to move much faster in a shorter timespan then if they were in normal spacetime. While this state can only be maintained for a short period of time it does act as an effective means of short range teleportation. Hull Phasing technology is usually used by the Persan (who specialize in more close quarter combat) to close distances faster and avoid enemy long range fire so as to better bring their shorter ranged weaponry to bare.

Defensive Tech

Thanks to their alliance with the Unified Knights Alliance the Persan have managed to gain access to Ukanium a special allow between Asconium and titanium which makes for light yet durable armor. The Persan chose to take the development of their Ukanium armor in a slightingly different direction creating armor that was a weave of Ukanium and diamond fibers infused with aluminum foam creating a form of Ukanium armor with improve flexibility and heat dispersion. Fibrous-NeoUkanium armor has also been develop which uses trace amounts of neutronium to further strengthen that armor, this is only used on vehicles and ships.

EAMP System or Electromagnetic Asymmetrically Permeable Shield System is a form of shielding employed by the United Persan Descendants. By generating a powerful electromagnetic charge the Persan are able to generate a powerful forcefield around their infantry, vehicles, and structures. The EAMP System is able to deflect most any form of weaponry deployed against it but lose energy the more hits it deflects and can be bypassed by melee weapons that enable the wielder to get in close passed the shield bubble. Shields generated by the EAMP System have an ECM-like property with targeting & tracking systems becoming confused and jammed when attempting to target an unit equipped with an EAMP System. Because of this property fights with the Persan usually must be conducted within visual range as nothing other then naked eye aiming can be used to effectively target them.

Memetic Weaponry

Memetics are by the far the most subtle weapons the Persan have at their disposal. While poorly understood and underdeveloped the Persan have used this weaponry to wage not physical war but a war of idea across the Gigaquadrant. Persan memetics are found in the power of music harnessed by idol singers who the Persan send out across the gigaquadrant in key areas to help influence events to their liking. While not a true form of mind control as memetic music cannot force an individual to perform certain actions or think certain thoughts. Rather memetic music has a hypnotic or glamor-like effect on those who hear it by making Persan cultural products, norms, and ideals seem more acceptable, normal, and even appealing and desirable. While a hardline persophobe will not be swayed but such music, those with at least somewhat more open minds can have their attitudes and opinions swayed to being more tolerant and accepting, if not actively embracing, of Persan culture. Those who are aware of this power have jokingly referred to it as culture bombing.
