The military forces of the UPD are rather unconventional to say the least with all soldiers being mech pilots controlling mechs that are supported by various drones acting as infantry. The mechs of the UPD are biomechnical monstrosities encased in armor, that acts just as much as a restraint on the mech as it does protection, and is controlled by the pilot via a neural sync system allowing the pilot to control the mech through their thoughts and negating the need for any physical control systems. Persan mechs are fast, agile, and flexible geared up with powerful stealth armor and the ability to transform into aerospace fighters negating the Persan's need to train pilots for dog fighting as well.

These fast and flexible mechs are generally considered perfect for the Persan combat philosophy of rapid maneuverability and operational flexibility. With mechs able to fulfill a vast number of different roles, drone support, and orbital strikes complimenting each other to employ shock and disruption to decapitate the enemy's decision making capabilities in maneuver warfare. To this end the UPD eschews vast numbers and attrition in favor of smaller, more tightly knit, better equipped and trained forces with stronge logistical independence and a highly decentralized command structure with lower level officers given great flexibility in accomplishing the end goals of the higher ranking officers grand strategies.

Thanks to having very limited numbers to work are forced to rely heavily upon drones to augment their lack of man power. While most roles in the military could be replaced by drones and AI the persan are a warrior people at heart and thus many still insist on serving directly on the battlefield. Commanders also recognize the value in citizens being able to see men and women fighting and dying for them as a necessary component for maintaining public for the war effort, as well as the general creativity an organic mind can apply to tasks a machine one generally cannot. So while most jobs requiring a high degree of skill as overseen by organic entities, most menial tasks are performed by drones.

Subverters

Subverters are fast and agile mechs with powerful stealth capabilities employed as assassins and marksmen by the UPD military forces. Integrated system such as additional biological components, improved jump jets and lower threshold neurosync systems to grant Subveters highly improved mobility and improving pilot reaction time and aiming ability. Pilots of these mechs tend to equip their machines with either scout rifles, sniper rifles, or rocket launchers and tend to be rather focused on their own survival and play by their own rules. Subverters uses a naked singularity engine to bend spacetime around them in whatever way they see fit.

Overseers

Overseers esoterics that come equipped with power and strange abilities specialized in hacking, electronic warfare, and crippling their enemies via the dealing of heat. These mechs tend to choose pilots that have a notable ambitious streak and are often driven by the quest for power. Pilots in turn tend to equip their mechs with hand cannons, pistols, and swords for often close quarters combat. Also Overseers are augmented with memetic viruses, ontological bridges, and paracausal systems to improve their capabilities at both physical and electronic combat. Overseers can transform the air around them into plasma and control it.

Enforcers

Enforcers are heavily armored and strong mechs that are employed for their defensive abilities and capacity to lay down heavy fire power. These mechs prefer dutiful and loyal pilots often motivated by some perceived higher calling who often equip their mechs with heavy weapons such as fully automatic rifles, shotguns, and machine guns to blow their enemies to bits. Pulse

Pulse weaponry are a form of shaped plasma weapon that comes in either pulse of beam forms. It uses nanomachines to generate magnetic containment fields that shape the plasma into either pulse or beams. When fired the plasma is discharged out the barrel via electromagetic coils, within the barrel is a colony of self replicating nanomachines, a colony of which breaks of, contains the plasma, and then travels with it at relativistic speeds forming either a sphere to create pulses or a funnel to create beams. The nanomachines self destruct upon contact with the target converting themselves into more plasma to act as a damage multiplier.

Phase

Phase weaponry is one that is largely limited to missiles though a more primitive type in the form of cannons did exists at one point in the history of the Vanara as a race. Phase weaponry uses dimensional phasing technology to cause the projectile in question to fall out of phase with reality when it detects shielding allowing it to bypass shield and then strike directly at the target. While the original phase cannons used the ship's on-board targeting computer to predict when to phase the projectile whereas phase missiles rely on the missiles targeting system, which is far more effective at predicting when to drop in and out of phase.

Wave

Wave weaponry is another form of plasma weaponry similar to pulse weaponry but is more then a little different in terms of application. Similarities exist in that both use electromagnetic force and nanomachines to propel plasma and prevent it from dispersing but their methods vary greatly. The first difference is that wave cannons use electromagnetic rails instead of coils, second is that it uses a greater density of plasma propelled with greater speed and force, and third is that instead of the nanomachine generating a magnetic containment field the nanocolony fired from a wave cannon generates a crescent shaped gravity well that plasma falls into and is pulled along with towards the chosen target.
