All stars are jewels to be added to the Empire's Crown and collection. Let none doubt our Divine Right of Stars.

- Emperor Aoloxix

The The Sublime Tridiken Empire are a highly expansionist, imperialistic empire native to the Mirus Galaxy, and opposed to both The Zarbania Powers and Unified Federation of Glory. They believe their destiny is to conquer the stars and worlds within their reach. This expansionist attitude and completely xenophobic nature of their people leads them to believe no race is worthy of their attention, and only serve as target practice, slaves and other things to serve their society and advancement. Their attitude towards other empires is often xenophobic and even hostile, those that enter their territory without sanction often libel to end in their enslavement.

Tridiken, as a whole, are now adays, largely more isolated and have cut down on their attacks on both the Federation and Zarbania, as the end of hostilities has lead to them realizing their position is more vulnerable, and they must keep to themselves until they can improve their technology and begin to go after their neighbors. The Federation's brief weakening lead to them becoming more aggressive, but counter-attacks by the Covenant of Mirus ended their threat quickly. Since that day, the Tridiken have plotted their revenge.

History[]

Formation[]

The Tridiken Empire came about in distant space within Mirus, evolving from the Tridiken people. A very aggressive, brutal race, the Tridiken, would organize under a number of Clans, and claim worlds for their themselves using advanced Precursor technology left to them by another race. Climbing quickly up as a major power within their sector, the Tridiken displayed a deep distrust for other aliens, preferring to enslave and subjugate them into their empire, rather then parlay or work with them. During such times, they encountered many other races, though found them disagreeable to work with. The Zarbania Powers became a rival of theirs, both empires attempting to constantly overcome and overpower the other, and the Unified Federation of Glory opposed the destructive, imperialist aims of the Tridiken at every turn.

The Tridiken, due to not having the sheer volume of space, avoided rousing the ire of the other two to a great degree, often waiting for battles over systems to clear out and for both sides to be weakened, before swopping in upon them to finish off whatever remained and claimed the worlds for themselves. Due to their limited main power, the Tridiken relied on superior range and technology in overcoming foes, and preferred never to fight on their foes terms unless it was aboslutely needed. Around this time, their first Emperor, Ferikek, died during a Leviathan Hive-Mind incursion after tampering with signals meant to bring them under his command, nd left his successor, Aoloxix, to rule in his place.

At some point, the Tridikens constructed a number of assassin droids and war machines meant to not only mimic their frame, but be delivered to the galaxy, and eliminate enemy leadership from within. However, after a number of these units turned on their masters and destroyed the construction facility on Falwan, they decided to create their own machine empire. The Tridiken, as such, tasked several of their best and most eager warriors to enter the underworld and hunt down their rogue droids, while continuing the manufacture of other, similar droids.

After the Great Mirusian conflicts, the Tridiken Empire attempted once more to wage war upon their old foes, but, surprised by the alliance between Zarbania and the Federation, and the creation of the Covenant of Mirus, the Tridiken fleets were quickly kicked out, and, faced with heavy loses, decided to enter isolation and build up their forces once more, to attack from another angle.

Years after their isolation, the Tridiken Empire would face a newcomer to the scene of Mirusian politics, a group of beings from another galaxy calling themselves the Second Imperium. Aoloxix and Miloko agreed to meet the being who lead this empire peacefully, the two meeting aboard the being's flagship, "Serpent's Blood", and spoke with the being named Dravius Orestes, exchanging gifts and speaking for a time, as Orestes offered the Empire a place with his own Imperium, if they could work together. Aoloxix agreed, and officers and soldiers from both Kingdoms began to work together to ensure the success of both their kingdoms.

Traits[]

Culture[]

The Tridiken are notably expansionist and prideful in their fighting abilities and prowess, believing their military abilities and strength the height of the galaxy, though are known to accept their failures remarkably well, having a cold and logical attitude towards it as well, believing their ability to evolve and adapt as new challenges appear makes them superior to most others. Their desire to fight and prove their worth leads to a coming-of-age ritual, in which young warriors are sent out to fight as bounty hunters, mercenaries and other forces, but rather then simply kill and destroy their toughest targets, the goal is for the Tridiken youths to return with something useful, resources, technology, and prove they can be trusted to get something useful to benefit the entire empire, rather then simply prove their fighting strength. The better the object (Or even person) brought back, the higher their position within the political, military and diplomatic branches of government. Those that find whole planets to colonize, are given them to rule, though with high training to prepare them for governance, if they so desire. For these reasons, Tridiken, especially their young-bloods, are considered eager, quick to anger and sticky-fingered thieves.

The Tridiken were originally thought to be so nationalistic and prone to fighting, that it was believed that they were entirely incapable of diplomatically working with others, but this came down to cultural differences more then anything, as when their youths were arrested or even killed trying to reclaim objects and worlds of importance for the Empire, the Tridiken Clans would take this as a personal insult, and seek retaliation, the Emperor and leaders of the Empire keeping and maintaining deep logs and books of The Lost Stars, as they were called. However, Tridiken, despite their pride in their fighting abilities, are expected and trained to work with others and build a great network of allies and comrades to help them in their trials, even relocating these friends as citizens of the Empire.

The idea that they were incapable of diplomacy, comes from the fact that wars of retaliation are seen as separate from actual wars, and the Tridiken are incredibly confused when dealing with others, as they believe the wars to avenge lost Youths is separate and completely isolated from actual Wars waged on behave of the Empire, which are notably rarer but no less violent in execution.

The Empire works closely with the Second Imperium, and are among the most successful native Mirusians to join it, helped by Dravius Orestes' relaxed policies and enforcement of Xeno-Imperial relations guidelines, and the Tridiken's own respect for the military power of the Imperium, many of their warriors becoming Stormtroopers, while many officers assigned are granted the great honor of becoming admirals and generals, assisting the Imperium with their wide range of intelligence and logistics knowledge.

Religion[]

Government[]

The Tridiken are ruled by two Emperors, co-rulers who are chosen from among the most capable leaders, commanders and infiltrators among the Tridiken. Currently the title is held by Emperor Aoloxix and Empress Miloko, though it should be noted they are not married. Each have their own consorts and families they maintain, and the two only work together in a political sense. Emperors are chosen specifically to avoid one family controlling all matters, and for this reason, even opposing Clans can be put in power.

Below them are a gathering of Elder advisors known as the Krinog, elder Tridiken who form a council of advisers below the Emperor, but who do not actually represent any world or sector, and instead dedicate their time to studying law, military and diplomacy. Likewise, below the Emperors, is the Council of Lords, each rulers of the various worlds and sectors, who report to the Emperor, and govern the worlds, soldiers and populations below them, and manage the slave populations.

Royal Army[]

  • Fiction:Tridiken Empire/Royal Army

The Royal Army are the Army of the Tridiken, responsible for leading ground invasions and crushing resistance on new worlds, and cowing the population into subjugation. The Standard Warrior is armed with long range, Precision weaponry, better at taking down targets at long range, and using their speed and teleportation to harass and subdue enemy infantry. To handle infantry fire fights in tight quarters, various machines and droids will be deployed. These include Prowler-class Drones that support Warrior squads, and Hunter-Class Droids, large, shock troops designed to pulverize enemy infantry.

Their vehicles are a vast array of armored exoskeletal combat units, a pilot chosen from the most trusted of Warriors and, when injured or wounded in battle, integrated into the machinery to serve with honor against their foes. It is noted that some commanders will let rivals warriors and commanders from other Clans that may be a threat become injured to have them put away and out of the way of their own political career.

As part of its alliance with the Imperium, the Clan-Legion's best warriors have received the training, weaponry and armor to be made Tridiken Stormtroopers.

Hive-Fleets[]

Hive-Fleets are made up numerous Clans joining together and waging war on their foes. The Mothership is the crown jewel and flagship of the Empire, commanded personally by both Emperors, and a massive dreadnought few ships can equal. As the Emperors rarely stay on the homeworld, the Mothership is used as a capital of the Empire. The mainstay of the fleet, are cruisers known as Viral-class Destroyers, relying on heavy weaponry and fire power to bring down other ships. These are supported by Terror-class Carriers, large ships designed to hold multiple fighters, with few weapon systems of their own. A recent addition to the fleet is the Despair-class, modified with Imperial technology, is essentially a Canon with engines and shield generators attached to it.

Their fighters are produced by the Terror-class and other large vessels as automated fighters, with no pilots, and sent into war as fast attack, massed units to overwhelm enemies' fighter squadrons and keep their enemies distracted from the main ships.
