Every God in Zarbania is given their own Cult, religious head, and other figures, but each is further protected by their own Order of Knights, elite soldiers and warriors recruited and armed by the Cult to protect their interests and fight alongside the Zarbanian armies. These Knights must provide their services whenever the Emperor calls upon them, and prove their loyalty regardless of Cult-loyalty. Knights who revolt against their Emperor or Order are often hunted by others, so as to prove their strength and to send a message to other traitors.

Every Order has similar rank structure, with a Grandmaster commanding it, assisted by several High Marshalls, with their forces on the ground always commanded by a Field Marshall, and every Knight in the ranks is referred to as a "Sword-Brother". Assisting them are Sergeants, retired and non-Knights who assist in food preparing, armor maintenance, record keeping and other matters outside of battle.

Knights, as par their Orders and Oaths, may not hold land or much private property, only enough to care for their families and live comfortably. Their payment comes when they fight and prove themselves, and most are, due to their faith, given to selling and giving their wealth to the peasants to help others and prove their faith to the gods.

Templar Orders[]

The Imperial Knights[]

We are the Knights of the Empire of Zarbania and protectors of the Father-Empire's people and inhabitants. We will do our duty, no matter the cost, no matter the struggle.

- Imperial Knight Grandmaster Korsik Krieg
  • Dedicated to - Autogenetic Work, The Emperor himself.
  • Grandmaster - Korsik Krieg.

The Imperial Knights are the dominant Order within Zarbania and it's most powerful. Directly serving the Emperor of Zarbania, they fight at his side as his elite guards and warriors, protect him when he visits other worlds, and will even put him down if he seeks to terrorize the population and fall to Darkness. Likewise, the Order acts to protect all races, viewing the Greater whole of Mirus as their land to protect, and not seeing difference between Zarbanian or outsider, pauper or prince. Bedecked in Crimson Armor, and black cloaks, the Imperial Knights are among the few that tap into Autogenetic power, among the few Orders who do, and feared for their prowess with a blade combined with this power. Combined with their fearsome Phasesabers, and Imperial Knights will fell any creature or tyrant that crosses them.

As they are the Grandest Order, it is difficult to get into the Order, and they hold themselves to the highest standard, as well as fighting against any Orders that fall to corruption and destruction. Although technically a Secular Order, the Imperial Knights' loyalty and use of Autogenetic power puts them in a position different from other Secular Orders.

Their Grandmaster is the Scimat'akar Korsik Krieg, a former criminal who was taken by the Emperor himself and trained in the arts of war, and to leave his life behind, pursuing a new life of helping those in need, and targeting the poor especially for assistance and charity.

Order of Her Eternal Protectors[]

The Goddess gives us life. The Goddess gives us shelter. The Goddess gives us food. In exchange, we offer Her faithful our shields.

- Grandmaster Tolvo Veers
  • Dedicated to - Frya
  • Grandmaster - Tolvo Veers.

The Order of Her Eternal Protectors is an Order dedicated to the Goddess Frya, and is one of the strongest and oldest orders within Zarbania. Often calm, diplomatic and respectable, Protector-Knights seek only to fight in defense, never in aggression, and will only join wars if Zarbania was attacked first. As such, they often will refuse to partake in Crusades alongside other Orders, causing many to call them cowardly and craven, as well as not gaining the riches and power of other, more aggressive orders. Combined with providing most of their wealth and protection to the poorer farming communities, and the Eternal Protector Order is much less grandiose, foppish and flamboyant then their peers, preferring simpler armor and heraldry. They often prefer silver armor, and surcoats colored green and brown.

They are one of the largest Orders, acting as protectors of the border and outer rim settlements, fighting pirates and marauders that threaten the farmers, ranchers and traders when the Fist of Zarbania and it's Legions cannot be deployed.

Their Grandmaster is the Sra named Tolvo Veers, who was adopted into the Order after his parents were slaughtered by pirates, and his sisters sold into slavery. Tolvo worked his way up into the Order, and fought throughout the galaxy, until he found them. After recovering, the two joined the Order with him, he and his sisters fighting at the head of every important battle, and focusing on protecting the Order.

Order of the Jade Hunters[]

For the Wild Hunt! Taalir will have the hides of many savages this day!

- Grandmaster Cornii Lot
  • Dedicated to - Taalir
  • Grandmaster - Cornii Lot

The Order of the Jade Hunters are those dedicated to the Hunter-God Taalir, and fight to protect Zarbania, it's colonies and their woodlands from the predations of others. These fearsome warriors fight with fearsome savagery and valor, seeking to constantly fight their foes, acting like hot-blooded trophy hunters seeking great beasts to slay. They are often foes of the Vakarox, cleaning whole forests of them in grand campaigns, and wearing their hides, heads and skins as trophies to show their great achievements, before retiring to their halls to drink and make merry in victory. Eager warriors, Jade Hunters are used to fighting in forests, and most of them fight on foot, with some even using bows, as it represents Taalir's original weapon, as a hunter, making them among the few knights who use it, though only in ritualized, hunting rituals. They wear black and dark green surcoats.

They are a mid-sized Order, having many members active and ready to fight. They prefer wooded areas and grasslands, to play into their role as hunters and trackers, and are experts at reading the lands they come upon, often mastering battle upon them in only a few weeks.

Their Grandmaster is Cornii Lot, a Grux member of the order, who is one of the oldest Grandmasters, and oldest Knights of any Order, and respected by the Orders for his wisdom and intelligence as a leader. Many of the Knights of other Orders will seek him out for wisdom and advise.

Order of the Azure Trident[]

A pint of ale, and a pint of blood! For the Sea God!

- Azure Knights' drinking toast
  • Dedicated to - Njorin
  • Grandmaster - Nept Nal

Dedicated to Njorin, the Order of the Azure Trident are Knights dedicated to the protection of not only the coastlines and fisheries of the Zarbanian people, but also the guardianship of starships of Zarbania, be it warships, Merchant Fleets and yachts. They are the few Knightly Orders that travel by ocean and have their own fleets, as most Orders maintain ships seconded to them, still owned by the Empire as a whole. Because of this, every crew is a member of the Order, and like all Zarbanian ship-members, they are prone to drinking ale, rum and other alcohols, much different from other Knights, who live more reserved chaste lives dedicated to their Gods. Over their armor, they often wear blue and yellow surcoats.

They are a large Order, though most of their members are crewmen and marines in their ships, while the Knights make up a large portion of the Order's fighting ranks. They are often charged with raiding and attacking enemy shipping lanes and such, though have no problem fighting on the ground alongside other troops. They welcome all sects of Spodism into their ranks, though the Ferric Doctrine is rarest, due to Mirusian Disdain towards it.

Their Grandmaster is Nept Nal, a Scimat'akar warrior who joined the Order shortly after the Mendel Attack on Zarbania. His hard work and dedication lead to many victories for the Order, and it was by his command that the Order began to build up their ships to further fight against their foes.

Order of the Silver Wolf[]

I anoint myself in Ulidor's blood, so I shall not bleed. I give myself to his work, so I shall not fear to suffer. I give my soul to Ulidor, so I will not fear death.

- Wolf-Knights' Oath
  • Dedicated to - Ulidor
  • Grandmaster - Grimnar Wulfhanz

The most militant and aggressive order, the Order of the Silver Wolf is an order dedicated to the War-God Ulidor, and sees themselves as his loyal, mighty hunting hounds roused to war and driven to kill and hunt down his foes wherever they hide. The Wolf-Knights are aggressive and pugnacious in the pursuit of battle. It is often said if you want the Order to do something, get it to do the opposite, for they chaff at authority and disdain being told what to do. Likewise, they disdain fine comfort and living, preferring hill forts and basic living quarters, often in cold regions, and surviving on their wits alone, next to basic fires, with only strong mead and good meat to keep them strong.

The Wolf-Order sees slaughtering the heretics of the Skallin as their main mission, though they take pride in putting any "barbarian" race down, be it Sarkurgatian, Mendel or another. With heavy maces, swords and lances, few can withstand their attacks, be they on foot or on the back of their warbeasts. With their brutal fighting style, they ensure the Northern provinces will never fall to anyone, especially Darkling worshippers. They do not wear Surcoats over their armor, choosing only furs and tribal tokens and fetishes for themselves.

They are lead by Grimnar Wulfhanz, given the title "Huzkarl of Ulidor", each Grandmaster the finest warrior, who is chosen among the Knights for his bravery and strength. Grimnar was anointed after challenging and defeating the last Grandmaster, growing tired of his corruption and brutality towards others, and gave all his riches and belongings to those effected by his brutality. Since then, Grimnar is hailed as man of the people without equal.

Order of the Black Death[]

Those who give themselves to Her, shall never fear the loss of life.

- Grandmaster Xata Nagai
  • Dedicated to - Hel
  • Grandmaster - Xata Nagai

Though a rare order, the Order of the Black Death is never the less important. Dedicated to the Goddess Hel, these Knights are dedicated to her scripture of death and the afterlife, and see to the protection of the fallen, see to the last rites, and even protect the bodies of fallen enemies, ensuring all are prepared for the afterlife and the beyond. Death-Knights, despite their stoic appearance, morose attitude and quiet nature, are not as dangerous and fearsome as some may think. Outside of the stereotype, the Knights of Hel are simple, loyal and accepting of any, believing Hel has knowledge of when anyone will die, and accept their deaths as simply part of the natural order of things. If they die in battle, then it must be the order of things, if not, then there is more for them to do.

The Order does not usually join many battles, engaged in a secret war with an unknown foe, but their Knights show incredible skill and daring in battle. Many other Orders question how they become so skilled and gain such experience when they rarely participate in crusades, something the Emperor is quite keen to keep a lid on. Though rarely seen, their armor is dark grey, and their surcoats are often colored gunmetal black and dark gray.

Their Grandmaster is a Scimat'akar named Xata Negai, a powerful warrior who arose from a mere steppe hunter on Blarene, and joined the Order at the chance at a better life. A full devotee now, she fights at the from with her brethren, seeking to prove her worth to Hel, and lay the undead and vampiric menace to rest for the final time for their disturbance of the natural order.

Order of the All-Seeing Eye[]

- Common Spodist Mantra
  • Dedicated to - Spode
  • Grandmaster - Otta Voberg.

A large number of Spodists have recently brought their faith to Zarbanian borders, resulting in a number of converts. Many within the old order and the Older Cults resent their power and growing numbers, finding them zealots and untrustworthy, but as a sign of trust, Ridanax has given them protection, a place within the College of Zarbania's Cults, and, recently, their own Knightly Order to help defend Zarbania. This Order of the All-Seeing Eye helps protect the faithful of Spode, assists the Mirusian Theocratic Congregation in some affairs, and fights alongside the other Orders in battle. Though distrusted by other Orders, they are a model Order, who seek to prove their place with the others through their deeds and honor.

The Knights of the Eye fight at the forefront of many battles, always eager to prove themselves and show their loyalty to Zarbania, and their faith in Spode as well. Dressed in white and purple Surcoats, these Knights are known for their knowledge and wisdom, each member having read the entirety of the Scrolls of Faith, and memorized them, as well as the Canonic Sutras. Each member also memorizes their own Testament of a Prophet that inspires them, and they seek to emulate.

Their Grandmaster, Otta Voberg, was one of the first Zarbanians to accept Spode, and has been one of his most faithful defenders in all aspects of life. Living a spartan, stoic life, she believes that simple pleasures and the like distract from her duty to Spode, and as such, has given everything she owns to charity and the poor, so that her duty to Spode is all that she has.

Order of Solberg[]

So long as we live and fight, Solberg lives through us.

- Order Battlecry.
  • Dedicated to - All, Serve in Memory of Solberg the Lost Province.
  • Grandmaster - Gerth Ulberck

The Order of Solberg is a Knightly Order made up of the Templars, Knights, Soldiers and others who once lived in the Province of Solberg, an area of Zarbanian territory once making up the southern portions of Kasseland and Fryaburg, a rich and great province. This came to an end, when the Loron under the great Tyrant Zjar'Klthrut gathered a mighty horde of Loron, Thurs, and Lu'Braxai under his command. After taking command of the Skordi Tribes near Solberg, many flocked to his command, and his horde laid waste to Solberg. It was only the leadership of the Emperor's Champion Schwartzhan, that defeated Zjar'Klthrut, and scattered his forces. The territory, however, was so devastated, it had to be rolled into Kasseland and some into Fryaburg, with many of it's survivors troops and soldiers creating the order of Solberg.

Since that day, the Order of Solberg has dedicated itself to hunting down and killing every Skordi or Loron, due to their role in destroying Solberg. As such, the Order has made many crusades into their territory, defeating and subduing the hordes of both Loron and Skordi before they can become a threat. They are the largest Order, inducting every Solberger and their descendants into their ranks, as well as victims of Loron and Skordi attacks, no matter their origin. They all wear black and white Surcoats, colored in memory of the Lost citizens there, and bear a stylized sun, the symbol of Solberg.

Their leader is Gerth Ulberck, the last surviving grandchild of Solberg's Elector Count, who has lead the Order after being elected Grandmaster after the death of their father. Gerth has lead the Order with a strong hand, though has begun to express doubts, whether the continued fighting and vengeance will ever payback the Children of Solberg.
