Intro

The Coalition was a group of political parties that formed together in hopes of overthrowing the Federation of Free Empires, and each did so for different reasons. Although they failed and were crushed after 7 years.

We’ve been stomped and crushed, but now, now we will be the one’s who’ll take our place in this beautiful yet ugly Gigaquadrant.

- Lucari Gin

History

Early History

The Coalition was formed by the 22% of people who opposed the formation of the Federation. They gathered at the Denol System telling Thenado that they would replace local military there and that those soldiers could be sent elsewhere. And later they took over the Denol system. then the Coalition rushed and tried to overrun the Federation. The plan had major success as 41 more systems fell under the Coalitions control during the first 6 months. TUOAS General Gen Lee even captured Thenado Wei, but released him due to them being old friends and killing him would be immoral in his eyes due to Thenado not having a weapon to fight back. Then TUOAS led another offensive that brought the Coalition up to 62 systems. However the Coalition was stopped and lost the battle of the Trenok system which lost them 2 CMMS class 1s, 21 Frigate Mark1s of the line along with 567 ASCGS. The battle of Trenok in the Sona system caused some to question if Gen Lee was the leader who would lead them to victory. 4 years through the war the Coalition lost the Peacekeepers Organization as the leaders of the organization called the Coalition warmongers and announced that they rejoined the Federation. This led to the Coalition losing many systems. A year later TUOAS would also rejoin due to Gen Lee’s assassination which lead to the complete collapse of the Coalition high command. The Coalition lost over a dozen systems when TUOAS rejoined and the entire high command of the Coalition were a part of TUOAS and left with TUOAS. Next year they lost 1 more major system in the battle of Wel. They were later pushed back to only two systems. The last year was when the Qin system fell and the last battle of the war would be the battle of Lendsr. The last leader of the first Coalition, General Hendr saw no point of continuing the fighting and surrendered.

Rebirth of the Coalition

Later though, some old Coalition members would start an uprising in the Free Republic of Trade and failed within 2 years. The remainder fled or were arrested. Lucari was on the run for most of her early years alive as she was the biological daughter of Gen Lee who had created her as somewhat of a clone of him. After she had returned to a Coalition outpost she would began her millennials long plan of taking over the Federation. The Coalition would later start a continuation of the war in 2838. They would later take advantage of a war faring Federation and strike. It took lots of resources and time however, but they solved the issue of resources by sometimes raiding a small province to the north of Selten. With their plan ready, they began their attack.

Grand Seltian War

During the Grand Seltian war, the Federation had half of it‘s fleet in Selten. The Coalition decided that it was time to strike and made major gains against the Federation and would go to Selten to bring their vengeance against the Owl Alliance. Attacking the Northern Province became a blunder as the territory was owned by the Corlinians who had a large empire in Coriusian. They would end up allying with the POR due to them having similar enemies. Later on the POR started to do things behind the Coalition’s back and treated them like a pawn piece, which lead to almost all of them joining the URH and their allies.

Military

Coalition Rifle Militia

The lowest of the Coalition Military. They have great morale and are used as policing forces. They are people from captured lands that have agreed to fight for their cause. They train for atleast 3 months before being allowed in combat. Their basic equipment includes a Diamene steel bullet resist shield and a ARC 23. If they are lucky they will get a grenade or have a machine gun in their squad. Average pay is 20-30 USD per hour.

Coalition Regular

Coalition Regulars are the basic trained infantry of the Coalition. Their equipment is the same of the average Federation soldier and Regulars are usually vastly more experienced. They tend to have decent morale and loyalty. They are much more skilled than the average Federation soldier though and do well in combat. They usually are payed 30-50 USD per hour.

Drone Commander

Drone Commanders have weaponry of a regular, but they control a platoon of cheap drone infantry. The drones are no different from the Federation’s versions and serve the same purpose. Basic fodder units to poke at the enemy. They are usually payed 35-50 USD per hour.

Coalition Scorcher

The Coalition Scorchers are the Coalition’s version of the Federation’s Scorchers. They are usually equipped a bit less then Federation Scorchers, but they are still quite menacing. They are usually paid 30-40 USD an hour.

Coalition Yenought Riders

They are equal to Federation yenoughts in equipment and tend to be more skilled due to their training and disciple. They have near unbreakable morale and can easily snap the moral of enemy troops as the massive 8-10 ft tall behemoths they ride can easily crush soldiers and damage most lighter vehicle. They are payed around 30-50

The Death Riders

A respected group of Yenought riders that are part of the Coalition. They are some of the most honorable of the Coalition and follow a strict code of honor. They are used rarely, but will see action when the situation is desperate or if it is deemed useful. They are feared by most of the Federation ranks and strike determination into the hearts and minds of their allies. They will not surrender and are usually keep as prisoners when captured. They are payed 40-60 USD an hour.

Coalition Hired Guns

The Coalition Hired Guns are mercenary units that are usually payed by businessses to do work for them such as escorting trade vessels and protecting vips . The Hired Guard are driven by personal ambitions and are not the most disciplined, but are undoubtedly skilled. They are usually payed 20-60 depending on the contractor.

Coalition Guard

The Coalition Guard are known as the Coalition’s version of the Federation’s Trusted Guard. They are well equipped, as well as very well trained. The Coalition Guard is a powerful force and hasn’t been known to surrender. Their soldiers are hardcore and have been trusted members of the Coalition. Despite them having slightly worse equipment than the Trusted Guard, they tend to noticeably outclass them in combat. They are deadly in all sorts of combat, and are known to be especially deadly in melee with their diamene steel swords. In the Coalitionist Army, they are respected by all of the Coalition ranks. They are usually payed 50-70 USD per hour.

Lucari’s Personal Guard

Luucarii’s (Name in Standard Federation Language) as the leader of the Coalition, had the best of the Coalition Guard as her personal guard. They are the first to get the most advanced equipment and are given the best rations. They are very experienced and can outmatch most soldiers with ease. They are equipped with 3 grenades as well. (Each grenade weighs 0.5 kg) They are trained to every type of combat know by the Coalition. They are paid around 70+ USD per hour.

Vannar’s Legion

Grand Admiral Viannare (Name in Standard Federation Language) was one of Lucari’s right hand admirals. She has some of the best of the Coalition Guard as her personal guard and pays them 60-70+ USD per hour on average. His guard are trained especially well in close combat which is something they are excellent at.

Renga’s Guard

Grand Admiral Riengan (Name in Standard Federation Language) was one of Lucari’s right hand admirals. He oversaw part of the Coalition’s Selten Fleet. His guard were made up of hand picked soldiers who are equipped with some of the best weaponry in the Coalition army. His force was also equipped with custom short swords made of diamene steel. They are paid 60-70+ per hour on average. They are some of the most loyal of the Coalition.

Political Parties

The UGOPS

The United Gangs of Purple Spice are a the first of five of the flags on the coalition flag. They are multiple gangs that control a portion of the purple spice industry and they are rich due to it. They were notorious for controlling the local governments in their regions. They were a group of very rich families that all had moderate political power.

UGOPS Military

The UGOPS‘s military is consists of many inexperienced gangsters and mobsters. They are equipped with military grade weaponary though, so they aren’t hopeless in combat. The UGOPS was the largest group in the Coalition during the first year and they used fear tactics which included mass shootings of innocents.

UGOPS’s Reasons for being in the Coalition

The UGOPS was being investigated for all their crimes and the UGOPS leaders believed that joining would stop the investigations, but it later led to them all being sentenced to death for war crimes.

The PO

The Peacekeepers Organization is the second of the five flags on the coalition flag. They are very anti-war and support neutrality. They are well known and didn’t actually do much in the war besides make speeches and funding the other parties. The Peacekeepers Organization was one of many anti-war organizations in the Federation.

PO’s Military

The Peacekeepers Organization doesn’t have a military, but would fund the other parties. They would send groups of people to protest and spread propaganda to lower the morale of the Federation.

PO’s Reasons for joining the Coalition

The Peacekeepers Organization believed the Federation might use it’s new military power to takeover smaller local empires. Although 4 years through the war they left the Coalition. The leaders of P.O. were decided innocent and let to live out their lives.

The TUOAS

The Technocratic Union of Advanced Systems believes in technological advancement and was the only group in the Coalition to invent anything during the war. They invented the AHM Mark1 which was a fast and duarable corvette. They are the third flag out of the five.

TUOAS’s Military

The TUOAS’s military was the most advanced of all the parties and have a well trained army and navy. They used refined tactics and strategy that have been implemented into the Federation‘s military, and the TUOAS had the best generals of the war on the Coalition‘s side.

TUOAS’s reason for joining the Coalition

TUOAS believed that the government might focus less on technology, but this was later disproven 5 years through the war and the leaders of TUOAS decided to rejoin the Federation. Them rejoining the Federation led to a collapse in the Coalition high command, because they relied on TUOAS generals to led their militaries. The leaders of TUOAS were pardoned by President Thenado Wei.

The SNOTC

The Spy Network of the Coalition was the fourth flag on the Coalition flag. They did most of the espionage in the Coalition and found the battle plans for the battle of Trenok, but the high command of the UGOPS stayed and would later lose the siege. They were made up of some of the Federation’s spies that defected.

SNOTC’s Network

SNOTC’s network consists of over five hundred trained agents and each agent has to have one years worth of training. The SNOTC was superior to the spy network of the Federation during the first two years, but after that the Federation had a network triple the size of the SNOTC.

SNOTC’s reason for joining the Coalition

They were trained citizens that had hated the government and when the Coalition formed they decided it enlist as agents. Post-war most of the agents surrendered and were pardoned, but the 1% that remained became terriosts.

The COW

The Cult of War is the last of the five flags on the Coalition flag. They are fanatics that believe in mass killings and they were disliked by all of Coalition, but the Cult of War hated the Federation so they let them join. They were a pretty unknown group of people who were extremely pro war and were responsible for the assassinations of thousands.

COW’s Military

The Cult of War has no military, but at their height they had over 1000 members that caused chaos and had the Federation extra cautious. The Cult was betrayed by the Coalition 3 years into the war due to their leader threaten everyone.

COW’s reasons for joining the Coalition

They hated the Federation for being in their eyes “too passive” and wanted to gain power. The Cult of War lost over 500 members after their betrayal of the Coalition when they assassinated Gen Lee. The Federation later found all the leaders and members of the Cult of War and executed them all for war crimes.

Overall Military

The Coalition never had a true military and were more of a group of rebels trying to overthrow an empire. The majority of their high command were TUOAS generals. The TUOAS were the only group to understand military tactics, and once they left the Coalition soon fell. The Coalition made a last stand at the Denol system, which they would fight in the town of Thenya. At their best, the average soldier had 3 magazines and minor combat training. Most of their training was on the field, and the experienced Federation soldiers were much more discipled then the Coalition‘s. The Coalition couldn’t have won due to their lack of experience, resources, supplies and soldiers. If TUOAS has stayed in the Coalition though, they could have made the Federation agree to a ceasefire, although the Federation’s reasons would also be influenced by the discovery of larger aggressive empires.

The Coalition’s Plans if they Won

If they won, the parties would fight against each other due to different ideologies. The all of the Coalition members knew that the TUOAS ruled the high command and for them to win, the TUOAS must not leave the Coalition. All parties would fight for favors of the TUOAS party. If the Coalition doesn’t just collapse on it’s own, meeting the Jinaris would. The reason for this is because the Coalition didn’t have information about the Jinaris and would probably declare war as they opposed imperialist empires. And the Coalition would easily fall to the Jinaris. When the Jinaris empire was first found to the Federatio’s eyes, it was kept secret until the end of the war, reason being that if the public heard about other empires that are much larger and warmongering. They would probably freak out and that would affect the Federation‘s war effort.

Post-War plans of the Coalition

TUOAS planned on allying the SNOTC and PO, the combined force would theoretically wipe out the COW and UGOPS parties in five years time. However the COW and UGOPS knew about this plan and had planned for a defensive war plan incase it happened. The COW and UGOPS knew it would take about two years for the TUOAS’s plan to be set, and they would spend the time build bunkers and forts in their territories. The fact that the COW and UGOPS’s plans would fail were made clear when TUOAS rejoined the Federation, which caused the downfall of the Coalition.

The TUOAS’s Post-War Plans

The TUOAS had plans that would have most likely resulted in victory if it happened. Once the COW and UGOPS were dealt with the next target would be the weakened Federation. TUOAS believed that the Federation would only agree to a Ceasefire and not a Unconditional Surrender, so they had plans to take them out once they had gathered all their strength. However, one thing most of TUOAS didn’t predict was the Grox Empire, so when they met they would probably declare war against the Grox not knowing about their power. But due to the time Gen Lee was captured, he learned much about other empires, and hated the warmongering ones instantly. Thenado Wei also mentions them during his capture, so Gen Lee might tell them to not. Although if the coalition made it this far that means Gen Lee and the rest of the TUOAS generals have already beaten a way larger empire that had better equipment. And now that the coalition has all of the Federation’s territory they might still declare war knowing that they now have a much larger force then earlier, and that they have usually found a way to win a seemingly impossible war.

Gen Lee’s Plans

It was agreed that Gen Lee would become the leader of the Coalition after 3 years through the war. However, once the Federation’s government was replaced he’d base the government off of the Federation’s. This is due to TUOAS just wanting to have technology be a priority in the government’s eyes. Gen Lee had come up with many reforms such as the Rifle reform which gave everyone with a good track record a rifle along with low level bullet proof vests. The reason for that is that people could have the power to overthrow the government if they had to, and it was said that this reform cannot be repealed. The reform also would have made mobilization much easier and people could easily rise up against enemies. The other reforms had to do with destroying monopolies, reducing crime, better work spaces and pay in some regions, and to put restrictions on lobbying. Thenado Wei would actually take these reforms and do them himself, and he called them Gen Lee’s reforms due to them being made by Gen Lee.

The Underground Coalition

After failing against the Republic of Trade and the Federation the small remainder that was left either went underground or was arrested. Those who went underground are mostly part of UGOPS and SNOTC. They are still around, but they are not that extreme anymore. The underground even has its own political party in the Denol system, although they haven’t ever won any elections. The closest they’ve got to winning was 27% of the popular vote.

TUOAS Party

Once TUOAS rejoined they made their own political party which has won in some systems. Due to TUOAS being known for their honor and skills many of them became generals and scientists in the Federation. TUOAS doesn’t have much of a bad reputation, due to them never committing war crimes and they actually let many armies of the Federation retreat when they could have mown them down.

The Terrorist Coalition

A group of pro coalition terrorists that aren’t really big, at most they are 2.5 billion members spread through the galaxies. Although they are a problem and are being hunted down by governments in their regions.

Lucari’s Party

Lucari’s Party is similar to the TUOAS party, although at the moment she has allowed anyone into the Coalition. She believes in Gen Lee’s idea of never getting in one’s way, but not allowing others to shove you. The Party is a Meritocratic Authoritarian dictatorship with some democratic republic aspects. Her party values those who are smart and value tech a lot. Lucari believes that she is the rightful ruler of the Coalition due to her being Gen Lee’s daughter and she also hates Thenado Wei as she believes that he was connected to her father’s death.
