The Second National Alliance (Xrykorian Commoner: Makundor Hakanbar’kota), known more simply as the Second Xrykorian Alliance or the S.X.A, is a large federal presidential constitutional republic controlling much of the northwestern portions of Eupherion. The Alliance is characterized by its decentralized nature and the imperialistic foreign policies that it follows; much of the Alliance’s member nations were former independent nations, which were either forcibly or willingly absorbed as territories, before eventually becoming part of the Alliance itself. The S.X.A has its past as the former Xrykorian Empire, which was itself reformed from the First Xrykorian Alliance, and was formed from a violent political revolution against the imperial government. The S.X.A’s governmental power is limited by a constitution and enforced by the Federal Senate and the Federal Court, and much power of the government is devolved to each of the 7 states that compose the Alliance.
The S.X.A is a notable power in the Eupherion Galaxy, and its influence - both economic and political - is felt by many. The S.X.A’s development and capitalist economy ensures a massive industry that provides to each of its citizens and ensures a high quality and technologically advanced, if smaller, military. The influence of the S.X.A is felt particularly in the Inner Nations - the Chelarian Sovereignty, Great Hegemony of CHel'ari, Pious Council of Khixx, and the Kakri League, the former 2 of which are extremely reliant on the S.X.A and keep their affairs in its hand. The imperialism and the influence that the S.X.A pursues often has it come into conflict with the Khavrol Centralized Worlds, and the two are generally considered to be rivals in galactic affairs, equal in influence and power and polar opposites in terms of goals, policies, and government, especially following the Second Eupherion War.
