Saren Seiriol is Secondary Commander of the Walgolorian within the Mendel pact, and one of the Three students of Commander Curiantau'va. Aggressive, passionate and hot-tempered for battle, Saren is regarded as one of the best Commanders of the Walgolorian, and is known for her proficient use of leading troops into sabotage missions and mid-battle assaults on enemy tanks with their proficiency with her Melter Guns, as she coordinates her troops' volleys in battle.

Despite her aggression, Seiriol is known for her patient hunting and extremely capable of leading forces to victory, regarded as the best tacticians among the Mendel, regarded as being even better with tactics then her two comrades, Ryaler and Kiun, though slightly less effective in direct combat.

History[]

Early Life[]

Saren was born on the Walgolorian homeworld of W'alor to Clan Seiriol, in the northern territories. From her youth, Saren proved to an aggressive, combative youth, open to any challenge that came her way and willing to test herself in any combat situation. Her aggressive personality came from the loss of her mother, who died at the hands of the Hermicce during their wars with the Walgolorian. Driven by such loss, she swore to avenge her loss even at a very young age, pushing herself to be the best warrior.

However, her father was adamant about not letting her be a soldier, having already lost someone he cared deeply about to war, and not wanting to experience such things again. When it came time to raise warriors, Saren was not part of the official Clan listings for new warriors, but ran off and joined the military academy anyway, leaving her home and clan behind forever to pursue her own life, joined by her younger sister.

Saren managed to sneak her way into the academies, but the Head Instructor was so impressed with her resolve to stay, that he allowed her to remain. However, she did gain one rival during her stay there, Kiun, who stood opposed to her in almost everyway. Where's Saren preferred action and ending threats as quickly as possible, Kiun was more patient and pragmatic. The two remained deep rivals throughout their time in the academies. When Kiun disappeared for a mission the Empyreal Caste selected him, Saren actually wished him well, despite their rivalry.

When he returned, their rivalry intensified as he became more confrontational with her and the two commonly almost came to blows with their rivalry. However, after their graduation from the academies, both where chosen alongside a Warrior from the colony of Vior'tal by Supreme Commander Curiantau'va to be his students and learn their tactics for command under him. Curiantau'va was growing old, possibly too old to command, and these three had shown the skills needed to be his students over their contenders.

Commander Curiantau'va[]

Summoned to Dar'nyth, the homeworld of Commander Curiantau'va, Saren landed upon the world, and was told to make her way to Curiantau'va's private estate, on her own. This forced her to make her way through the more inhospitable regions of Dar'nyth. This also forced to think more strategically, silently moving through the ruined city sectors, passed all sorts of threats, such as wild beasts, and Dronox squadrons, before coming to Yir Wvddya, the tallest mountain in Dar'nyth. With little other choice, Saren climbed up, and after many hours of hard climbing, found the elder Curiantau'va sitting upon a hover throne of sorts, like those used by many Empyreal elders, meditating. There were no other students yet to arrive, and as such, Saren sat and meditated with him.

As the day went on, the sun becoming lower and lower, as more students arrived, a dozen coming to meditate with Curiantau'va, including Kaworoful Neiras, Kiun Adeddan, one of her rivals from their days at the academy, and, the last to arrive, Ryaler. The students, after another hour or so, were taken into his private estate, to rest up and eat, and begin their training under the venerable commander.

Curiantau'va tested every student, working hard to understand and learn each student's strengths and weaknesses. While Ryaler was the master of aggressive, close combat and Kiun the ability to lay down fire power all on his own, Saren became master of not only coordinating strikes between multiple teams, but also being able to covertly infiltrate the area and eradicate the foe, especially their armored tanks and vehicles with ease. Although successful, Saren and Kiun always ended up in the shadows of Ryaler, who became the most successful of all the students. Saren grew very close with Curiantau'va, he becoming something of a second father for her, after leaving her father.

Although Ryaler was his most successful and ingenious student, Curiantau'va favored none above the other students, showing kindness and respect to all of his young, up and coming commanders, so jealousy would not try and out-do one another. Although not completely successful, it did calm some of the harsh interactions between Ryaler and Saren. Although he calmed them down, he wished to turn their rivalry to friendship, he never got the chance, as the Trail of Fire soon came upon them, forcing him to prepare his students for a blood battle to come.

After study under Curiantau'va, the three where prepared for their Trial by Fire, a mission to save the Orgaat homeworld of Tohoch, from the Hermicce, the ancient enemies of the Walgolorian. Given command of the stealth teams and infantry she so enjoyed, Saren lead her forces, her success marked by the burning wreckage of Hermicce vehicles. Despite her success, however, ultimately, it was Ryaler who was chosen to be Supreme Commander, and Saren and Kiun where put in stasis to await any missions that may need them, before Ryaler joined them himself.

Saren was briefly brought back online for the Conquest of the Raaycalo system, conquering it for the Mendel much quicker then others expected.

Mirusian Coalition Wars[]

First War[]

For the ever important Mirusian Coalition War, Saren was awakened once more to lead Mendel forces in the attack against the Xonexi Forces in battle, alongside the two others of Commander Curiantau'va's best students. With her expertise, they hoped that ground assaults could be finished quickly, once the enemy was crippled of their armored vehicles.

Second War[]

Saren, however, was not given the leave she thought she would, instead, being asked to prepare her forces for a new engagement, against the fierce French Colonial Empire, and ever-determined Eldarisian. Expecting resistance from such groups, Saren's armies where reinforced of losses, and she prepared her troops for a truly bitter fight to come.

While Ryaler aggressively shattered any frontlines he could find, Saren and her commanders coordinated massive guerilla hit and run campaigns against the French, and to a lesser amount, the Eldarisian lines. Although out-numbered, and facing the possibility of being overwhelmed, the ill-disciplined French could not stop the smaller Mirusian fleets from slipping in and doing incredible damage, as well as relieving allied planets from assault. While Kiun kept the Imperium of War off their backs, Ryaler and Saren pushed into the Xonexi lines. Saren also learned of the incredible danger of the French Void Hunter, and made several attempts to capture some for study, but her looting was dodged every time, leaving her frustrated, to which she vented out on her enemies.

Ryaler informed her later of a rogue TIAF fleet operating in Mirus, dogging their lines and communications. Although she petitioned several times to lead her forces back to find this rogue fleet, she was denied, as the defeat of the rest of the Xonexi was too important. With the Battle of Trinity won by Kiun, morale soared as the Mirusians redoubled their efforts to win. Unfortunately, the French hit back harder. With a more disciplined command of their Angel-fire, and with their supplies dwindling again, thanks to repeated TIAF and Void-Hunter attacks, Saren and Ryaler's fleets where left with almost no fuel, and little munitions. Ultimately, the Mendel, allow with the other members of the Coalition, where forced to the diplomatic table.

Forced to give up their holdings they gained from the first war, many commander, including Kiun himself, where angered at having gotten nothing from the war, and had nothing to show for their troops' sacrifice now. Saren herself was calm, mostly, and felt that such reversals happened. Ultimately, the Pact joined the new united government, the Covenant of Mirus, in which Franch and the Eldarisians would help put the Imperium of war to an end.

While Kiun passionately hated the idea, and Ryaler trusted them so long as they actually helped, Saren was left unsure. She agreed with both, and wanted the Xonexi to help end the threat, but also did not trust them. How could a government that represented a united Mirus truly be a true Mirusian Government with foreigners bending others' arms to join? Saren ultimately knew her High Lords would make the best decision, though promised her troops that her support for the Covenant was luck warm at best, an assessment that many Mendel shared.

With the formation of the Mirusian Triumvirate, Saren was made aware thanks to her position as a High Commander, and supported it, though was still left uncertain if all the wars would better the galaxy.

Berserker Onslaught[]

Da Reckoning[]

As Da Reckoning kicked off, a large Loron fleet invaded the Plazith Rim, focused on destroying the DCP, and any who got in the way. Focused on defending what was theirs, the Mendel sent Saren herself with a massive force to coordinate a defense there and prepare for the fighting with the Loron. As Ryaler set up in Borealis, and Kiun and Kaworovol went to Cyrannus, Saren prepared her stealth units for battle against the Loron in the Plazith.

The Hand of Retribution[]

Traits[]

Personality[]

Saren is a confident, solid commander, aggressive in battle, yet capable of meticulous planning and manipulation. A hardy commander, Saren believes herself correct in most cases, and stubbornly refuses to accept the rulings of her rivals, Kiun and Ryaler, though in emergency situations, is more then keen to put aside her distaste.

Saren's style of battle marks her as one of the best tacticians of her kind, as it requires that she both carefully command both Stealth suit and Marauder teams, as well as Trooper gunlines and Warrior teams and Orgaat packs during battle, all at once. In fact, compared to her peers, it is said that, while not as good in personal combat, is the most successful in planning and tactical skill.

Saren's primary goal is to become the best Commander in the history of the Mendel, as the loss of her mother pushes her to greater heights, or so she believes, to further her own skill and defeat her foes. It is this tendency of hers, that pushes many away, something she prefers.

Appearance[]

Saren is an athletic Walgolorian, though noted for her cold features and attitude. She rarely smiles around others. Saren's scales are the natural green and red of most Walgolorian. Her scales are smooth and polished compared to the rest of her kin, and her eyes are sharp and predatory, as described by some of her co-workers.

Abilities[]

Saren is fast moving, and stealthy for a Walgolorian, even without her battlesuit on her person. Like most, she only has some moderate skill in melee combat, though is considered an above-average markswomen.
