Raymus Oquoné is a former United Republic of Cyrannus navy officer onboard the Venator-class Defender before assuming command after setting aside its commander who wanted to support the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus. Forming his own rebellious movement, he founded the Blazing Squadron that became one of the early and battle hardened squadrons of the larger Cyrandia Resistance.

Blazing Squadron's Resistance fleet
Born on the lush world of Corulus in the Cyrannus Galaxy Raymus Oquoné was born in a well standing family and lived a life of plenty and education. Applying for the Republic Academy, he soon served within the Republic Navy and managed to progress over the years in rank. Mid-way during the Great Cyrannus War he was promoted to serve as commander onboard the Venator-class star destroyer CRS Defender as second in command. Proudly he fought during many a battle in the later stages of the war though was disgusted with the rise of the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus upon its conclusion. Executing his commanding officer who pledged himself loyal to the Empire, Raymus and the remaining loyal crew took command of the Defender and fled into the Outer Regions where over time Raymus founded the Blazing Squadron. They became feared to leave no witnesses and harassed the Imperial convoys until they joined the Cyrandia Resistance.
Cyrandia Resistance[]
Failed to rescue Janice from Imperial captivity
Approached by General Sesoka, he decided to join his fellow rebels and his squadron became one of the earlier members of the Resistance while attaining his rank as commander. During the New Cyrandia Wars in 08 AQF, he led Blazing Squadron during battle of Capricaerón. After securing the planet for the New Cyrannian Republic the squadron headed back into the Unknown Regions and continued its practices. They resurfaced during the Second Great Cyrannus War in 20 AQF during the Battle of Ambar.The squadron eventually rendezvoused with the rest of Resistance Command at Andustar to set up a new base of operations.
Later on, Raymus led Blazing Squadron into a failed rescue attempt during the Escalation stage. Intercepting the Arquitens-class light cruiser of captain Vertac Uiana, Raymus and his squadron managed to disable its escorting Gozanti-classes and Raymus led a boarding party to rescue Janice Ross. Locating Janice, he freed her from her cell but on the way back to his own CS-class they were taken by surprise by captain Uiana who immobilized Janice by activating her shock collar. Powerless, Raymus was forced to withdraw as Imperial reinforcements arrived. Escaping Raymus informed General Soseka of his failiure.
During the opening stages of Operation Liberty, Raymus led Blazing Squadron on a patrol within the Mou'Lhhei System. While approaching the outskirts of Cyraband, the star destroyer Basilisk, under command Imperial captain Marquar Cuinn ambushed Raymus and his sqaudron, annihilating the CRS Defender and various CS-12s. Raymus, to his dismay ordered a withdraw as he was unable to save his doomed fellow rebels.
Personality and Traits[]
Bold and a keen tactician, he exploits the weaknesses of the Imperial convoys in the Outer Regions and is well feared by the Imperials stationed there. Raymus lost most of his family due to the Empire because of his actions, something that continues to torment him.
A stern, proud and sometimes arrogant Libertus Raymus leads his squadron with military protocols and is utterly without mercy for his Imperial opponents and considers his friends that turned into Imperial supporters or sympathizers traitors of democracy.
