The Raev Imperium was an ancient civilization of the Ravenrii that emerged around 120 billion years before the current date and one of the most short-lived civilizations its rules have experienced; while Ravenrii civilizations typically last from trillions to thousands of quadrillions of years (the time it takes for either them or their enemies to win a single play at The Game), the Imperium lasted for barely more than a hundred billenia. It was the first civilization the race had in this universe, which they were introduced into by Kkia'Sihm after an unknown past, presumably in another universe. The Imperium entered space near the present First Gigaquadrant approximately 105 billion years after its recorded founding, entering into conflict immediately after its first contact with Xhodocto in the universe, 15 billion years ago. Remembered as one of their "Tragic Civilizations"-civilizations with which they lost a play at the Game-it was the predecessor to the current Ravenrii civilization, the Federation of the Core Worlds.
History and Legacy[]
The Imperium purportedly around 120 billion years old, drastically shorter than almost all other Ravenrii civilizations. Founded in a galaxy whose current whereabouts are unknown, it begun as the Ravens were introduced for the first time into this universe by the Lord of Light. The Imperium expanded fro billions of years, searching everywhere for Potentials and led by a previous incarnation of The Host. It can thus be deduced that their previous civilizastion had been successful, as the new began with the Host as leader. However, the Imperium ended badly, destroyed by the Xhodocto after the billenia-lasting Great War of Light around 13 billion years before the current date, and as consequence its following civilization, the Core Federation, began without the guide of the Host to aid them and its citizens in a drastically weaker physical form, which they have since grown out of. The War ended with the sacrifice of the Ravenrii, who destroyed their home planet and capital of the empire in an attempt to destroy the Xhodocto as well, leaving the Game at a stalemate instead of enduring a loss. However, the measure only half-worked; barely two billenia afterwards, the Xhodocto reemerged, puring into the area of the modern First Gigaquadrant. The Ravenrii themselves awakened after a millenia of suspended animation with their population decimated in the current planet Centrus. Its galaxy, Xanthrus was once one of the border galaxies of the Imperium, and they immediately constructed a new civilization in order to continue carrying out their tasks to Heaven.
The extent of the Imperium is unknown, though it is believed that its outtermost settlements bordered what is now the First Gigaquadrant, holding galaxies under its control as was the case with xanthrus Spiral and Lyan Major. The galaxies that the Imperium spanned were legendarily places of verdant planets and life, though by the end of the Imperium around 13 billion years ago most of these galaxies, for example Lyan, completely faded into lifeless celestial bodies.
