Be careful not to stray too deep, you might find something you wish you never found. They said monsters were not real, but they were wrong, and these monsters still lay at rest and have been sleeping since 500,000 years ago.

What is known[]

The Mekkani are one of the most interesting races since they had no enemies. All who opposed them were destroyed to nothingness. Their technology is worth millions since it seems like what has been scrambled together thereby many different experts in the fields of them is that nothing is certain since entering a Tomb World would be a certain death. A Mekkani abyss is "more" suitable for exploration than a tomb but also there is an empire that has sat up in the centre, protecting the core more intensely than the Grox.

"We are Mekkani, we are Unstoppable. WE ARE IMMORTAL" Those were the Mekkani Overlord's last words before he was looked and sealed away in [REDACTED]. He was not defeated; he was tricked into [REDACTED] And thus we were defeated, without an overlord, the warlords tried the best to rule, and thus the downfall 500,000 years ago"

- A disconnected Mekkani.

The Mekkani. The destroyers, purgers, machines or liberators. Depends on who you ask, but to learn more, you should ask a Disconnected. Disconnected are Mekkani whp were created with a bug in their systems, invisible to the Mekkani which allows them to ignore their superiors. Disconnected are usually regular Mekkani, but in very rare cases it can be a Warlord like Fyn'ud, who Refused what he calls the Great Slumber. If asked what the Great Slumber is, he goes into details about the construction of metal planets that would become tombs roamed by Shak'tai (Devouring ones), giant metal snakes that would kill anyone in less than a second. But in these planets are millions upon millions of dormant Mekkani. These worlds are plentiful in Selten every 100 star systems has a tomb world planet within it.

Tombs of the Great Ancient Ones[]

Signs of A planet being a Tomb

The Tombs of the Ancient ones are seen as forbidden places, often crossed out, ignored, marked as dark sectors, or the denial of their existence is blamed on the dark matter. Most tomb worlds are beautiful with nature and animals. But that is just the tip of the iceberg because underneath and, stretching thousands of miles under the surface is a tomb the size of a planet which is shown by its large obelisks casting long shadows, marking entrance to the Tomb. Smaller and less significant entries can be found around the Tomb world, called Abysses, strange stuff like aircraft and other vehicles rest there, in the case of the presence of a sarcofagus related to the presence of a Mekkani Overlord who was slain in battle, it will be guarded by drones.

Types Of Mekkani[]

But there is a new enemie Resting in toombs
The Overlord Is the most powerful out of the Mekkani due to his/her/ powers to be almost indestructible. However, not much is known about them since they are shrouded in mystery and the only thing that is known is that they let off a blinding aura of light that will blind or drive any nearby sentient creatures insane due to its immense power. It can also summon portals from which Mekkani ships arrive to destroy its target. The only Overlord still alive is kept in a highly secured place somewhere in the Center Disc

CRE Mekkani-18f528a8 ful
Weaker than Overlords, but still powerful. They keep a free mind and will deliver precise attacks on empires and creatures where it will be most fatal and to make them suffer until death. The Warlords tend to hunt what they deem to be lesser empires for sport and kill for fun.

CRE Mekkani-18f528a4 ful
The Administrators are cruel, often in command of smaller armies and having been the designers of the Tombs. With there weapons and adaptability they can be extremely lethal at any scenario of combat, armed with energy spears which can both impale targets with extreme damage and also fire projectiles that may disintegrate the target on contact.

CRE Mekkani caster-18f81626 ful
The Caster Units stand in the back lines and cast burning spheres of flames and other chaos energy. The source of this power is not know but it may have something to do with aberric energy, but that is most unlikely. A caster is often seen to have what looks like to be the eyes of a reptilian but that is just a look of Therese to signify rank and status and role. Just because they stand in the back of a line doesn't mean that, as any Mekkani, they don't have the strength of crushing a skull without even trying.

CRE Mekkani Beserker-18f57d26 ful
The Berserker is a Heavily armour unit with claws that shreds through armour and flesh with relative ease and will always murder their opponent in a brutal fashion since they don't care. They are just doing what they are programmed to do and that is what makes Berserkers so dangerous; They show no empathy, no emotion, just destruction, but in higher rankings Mekkani do have a free will.

CRE -18f2ae4d ful
This is the basic Mekkani. They are sometimes gifted with free will while others continue serving their programming and other gain a mind of there own and become what is known as Disconnected ones. Disconnected ones are the best way for an empire to learn of the Mekkani even though they act with a superiority complex to organic beings, since they know that the Mekkani are superior to them in every way, mere trespassers on their galaxy. The best way to finding a tomb is asking a Disconnected one. But the regular Mekkani are just like the rest, some possess a mind, but they mostly just follow their programming.

CRE Mekkani-18f9b6cd ful
Those are the lowest of Mekkani, just mindless drones canon fodder rushing in with their weapons, often with crude armour plating, crushing the enemy and going down with them.

Living metal[]

Mekkani are made of an extremely brilliant but still light, growing metal named Orcalium which can be found in large abundance in the tomb sector and the Chaotic sectors. with this living metal, mekkani are able to regrow entire lost limbs to some extent. Ocalium is considered one of the most expensive and valuable metals in Selten. If one wishes to obtain some they will have to venture down deep below a planet's crust since it can only be found close to the core of a planet or in small abundances in the atmosphere of Selten's gas giants

Mekkani Armada[]

The Mekkani armada is a horror to witness, posessing the largest ships of the galaxy. Anyone who has seen the relic of a once massive ship barely knows the sheer size, and there are still ones that have never been seen by modern Selten. The Armada waits patiently the instructions of the Overlord, opening up to a new horror of mass murder and galactic genocide.

MEKKANI REAPER
often referred to as a Mekkani Reaper those ships are around 1,574 km long and around 300km wide. The Blighted eye ships can be found dormant underneath the clouds of gas giants that are within a system that contains tomb-worlds. Each gas giant can hold approximately 10 Blighted eyes. Their power is impressive, how they work is non-understandable since they seem to be capable of eradicating planets in no time at all, although it's speculated that when the ship is resting it converts the gases of the planet into energy.

Mekkani Monolith (2)
The monolith is the biggest Mekkani ship, better said, it's believed to be since no one has ever seen it, Disconnected ones know about their existence and even then, they don't know about the size or their appearance, but they know that there are only around 10 of them in existence. When the Great Slumber began, all of them were disguised as planets, waiting patiently for the command of reactivation of the Overlord.

In the war between the Mekkani and the Adresaas monoliths were used at full power and they struck without the enemy knowing and before they knew it a highly concentrated energy beam would eradicate the existence of the enemy leaving only a cloud of dust and debris.

Mekkani manta
The manta is a small 2 seat fighter that is powered by the same ways as the Blighted eye ship but at a smaller scale, and that is why they could be stored in tomb worlds. With a still high armour and powerful weapons these ships were not invincible and in some cases, in planets that might have been scenarios in the war you may find some crashed Mantas and Adresaas ships. Special precaution is to be taken if a Manta is found, since it may even have a pilot that is still alive, although if you are lucky he may have become disconnected after the crash, and he can tell you everything you want to know (maybe).

CRE -192759c8 ful
The crawler bot is a large Aracnid mech that walks on 6 limbs and will not stop for anything. the Crawler's only weapons are 6 small arms and 2 heavy plasma cannons mounted on it's back that will hit with an 80% accuracy. If you figure out the arch it is firing in, it will be easy to dodge the bombardment.

CRE -192759ca ful
The stalker bot is a very small bot around 1m tall with a heavy emphasis on stealth and recon to the Crawler, the only true work for the stalker is to inform the gunner of the crawler at what angle he should aim the canons to hit the target. The stalker can protect itself too, but only with weapons that can paralyse the enemies to help itself escape.

Prisoner of the Core[]

Quotes[]

You are similar to I but not to the people of the Realms. You are an oddity that requires its own classification. You seek extermination and we now seek yours. Your death will mark a new Golden Age for Selten and its inhabitants, especially for our the Unified Realms. The issue with your current government is that you fail to form bonds like the Cybercratic government you should be, in time we shall fix this in the same fashion as you tried to annihilate us. Selten is not yours for the taking, the Unified Realms and the Rotalat Allied Powers will show you the mistake you made when you took your first shot at Heitec, Adrealis and many more, in which you failed to conquer the strongest. You thought you could just take us? I am just machine but I believe the Sards would laugh at that statement. You saw us and deemed as unworthy of life, now we see you and we deem you worthy of death.

- S.A.R.D of the Unified Realms of Heitec

trivia[]

-The Mekkani share several connections with other ancient empires from fiction. Some of the inspirational material is from Warhammer 40k's Necrons. Another reference are the Reapers from Mass Effect but that is just a small inspiration.
