Sporeguy's Fiction

The LSA is an organization of most of my empires. It is ruled by the Senate, with a representative for each of the ten most powerful or influential Empires in the Sector, and a representative for lesser races. All meetings are made on Sector Capital, the capital of the Alliance and one of the most heavily populated planets in the universe. It is based in the Light Sector, in the Milky Way galaxy.

There are currently over 5,000 races in the Alliance. 2,500 of which have only one system, 1,000 have under 10 systems, 500 have under 100 systems, 500 have 100-10,000 systems and the remaining 500 have 10,000+ systems.

The LSA is part of the Seven Starr Alliance and the Milky Way Cooperative. The Alliance currently exists in a separate universe to most fiction. (See here)

Government[]

The LSA is governed by a Senate, where a representative from each race makes their opinion heard. The Senate is effectively ruled by a Council of Ten, made up of the ten most powerful races in the Alliance-The Elliontics, the Generia, the Workan, the Atrikree, the Chandralians, the Zarvos, the State of Song and Silence, the Senshi, the Yilise and the Anarica.

The Alliance as an Organization[]

At it's heart, the LSA is an Organization similar to the United Nations. Over time, the various races have become (by choice) less and less independent. The Alliance has over time built up a strong friendship between the races of the Sector, almost unbreakable, which has resulted in many developments being made, mainly using the technology of the Arcana (see History below). Its policy is to help impoverished civilizations and defend the races of the Light Sector from threats. The Alliance was founded to destroy evil after the war with the Rays (again, see History) but has since evolved into a less aggressive role, and more of a protector than a crusader. Following the Annihilation, the Alliance has undergone several reforms to bring it closer to its original form.

Organizations Within the Alliance[]

The Alliance is made up of many smaller organizations.

The United Planets[]

The United Planets is a peacekeeping and war aid organization. It has a small military force which it uses to try and stop conflict. The United Planets is one of the most important organizations in the Light Sector, as it has a lot of power in the Senate.

The Light Sector Religious Union (First Union Church of the Light Sector)[]

The LSRU is dedicated to anti-sectarianism and stopping religious violence. The LSRU is also a religious church in itself, one which preaches non-violence and peace.

The Republic of Emergency Species[]

The RES is an alliance of four highly specialized races, who fill the job of the Emergency Services in the Light Sector. The RES is made up of the Garyx (better known as the Galactic Police), expert upholders of the Law, the Heala, fantastic medics, the Fourius, terrific firefighters, and the Scienceide, unrivaled Scientists. The Tystarn, fearless and highly skilled all-rounders, have applied for membership.

Mailworm Corporation[]

The Mailworm Corporation is one of the Light Sector's largest corporations. Founded to deliver mail, its major breakthrough into the big business world was the invention of the Sectornet, a massive internet which spanned the Sector. Information is carried in picoscopic robots which can travel faster than light. It is the Sector's biggest Sectornet provider, and also produces high-spec computers.

Education in the Alliance[]

Most of the education in the Alliance is done in schools and universities on the various planets of the species, owned by the species themselves rather than the Alliance. There are Alliance-owned education centres on multicultural worlds, such as SC-1. The most prestigious centre of learning is the Alliance University, orbiting a planetoid in the SC system's asteroid belt. it is formed of four Colleges: Imperial College, Light College, Berderton College, and the most modern and supposedly greatest college, Krovian College.

The largest library in the Light Sector is on the moon Ludus Magna, orbiting the gas giant Jupar in the SC system. It is part of Alliance University. It holds over 200 billion books(including digital books), including the detailed history of the Alliance and most of the histories of the races.

Business in the Alliance[]

There are many large corporations in the Light Sector, all of which trade on the Light Sector Central Index (LSCI), a massive stock exchange with monopoly over virtually every business style imaginable. The Light Sector Board of Businesses has a lot of power in the Senate, but is currently being probed for allegations of corruption.

The Alliance as a Culture[]

Over time, the Alliance has developed a strong culture, much of which is linked to the Kread Galaxy.

Sport[]

The official sport of the LSA is Sholeball. Sholeball was invented in Kread, but gained massive popularity in the Alliance after first contact with the Sholians. Once a year, a Sholeball Galactic Cup is held somewhere in the Light Sector. Other sports include the Elliontic Sport of Trapball, Mixed Arena Fighting, and some more unsavoury sports like Gladiator battles, Cage Fighting and Murderball, a violent sport involving mallets and a ball which randomly explodes every few minutes.

Popular Culture[]

The Alliance has a large amount of popular culture. Most races have their own television shows, films and Sectornet blogs, memebases and Social Networks. Popular Sector-wide TV channels include the Light Sector Broadcasting Company (LSBC-Based on the BBC), Inter-Sector Television (ISTV-based on ITV) and Channel 5, a comedy network.

Religion[]

The Alliance is very open-minded, and their policies allow almost any religions into the Alliance. The Alliance works against Zealots though, and only allows the spread of religion through peace.

The most religious race in the Alliance is luckily also the most peaceful. The State of Song and Silence has control over fifty planets, most of which are sanctuaries for meditation and prayer. The State is the head of the Light Sector Council for Religious Stability. Almost every major god is worshipped by the State.

Major Deities in the LSA[]

There are very many gods in the Alliance, some of which have been proven to exist as interdimensional beings.

Elzhei[]

Elzhei (the KUL for LJ, Sporeguy's initials) is the main god of the Alliance. He is an interdimensional being, with power to create planets and life. He has guided the Alliance in many parts of its history, but never been directly involved. Elzhei has been attacked many times by the Tahars because of their Anti-Theism.

Spode[]

Spode is worshipped in many parts of the Light Sector

Adezhei[]

Based on the word Elzhei, Adezhei is another interdimensional being. He has worked with Elzhei many times.

Reautammah Yuddah and Yuddhism[]

Reautammah Yuddah (Ree-Oh-Tamm-Ah Yudd-Hah) was born a prince of a poor planet. He left his palace to try and find peace. While meditating under a Bhodda tree, he achieved enlightenment, and taught his findings to the locals. Reautammah then fasted for a year, eating only one grain of wheat per day.

After his death Yuddah became the first of a line of similar people, each believing slightly different beliefs about 'Yuddhism', the name given for Yuddah's teachings. The current Yuddah is Yuddah Guanomah.

The Light Sector[]

The Light Sector is a section of the galaxy which is roughly 800,000 Light Years across. The Light Sector has influence galaxy-wide, and is home to a large amount of sentient life, much of which has highly advanced technology. The sector is divided into five zones. The Light Sector's most important Star System is the SC System, which contains the capital planet of the Alliance.

The Zones of the Light Sector[]

Metropolis Zone[]

The core of the Sector, containing the SC System and the home planets of the original four races of the Light Sector Union. This is the Sector's most important area in every way. Many of this sector's planets are very well off and several are completely covered by cities or urban areas. The Headquarters of many of the Light Sector's main organizations are based in this zone.

The stars in this zone are very densely packed and often fiery young stars, capable of supporting life.

Colonial Zones and Outer Zones[]

The Colonial and Outer Zones are four smaller zones which are usually counted as one zone. They are the Inner and Outer Colonial Zones, the Harbat Zone and the Linera Zone. The Colonial Zones were the main areas of expansion for the early Light Sector Alliance. The Zones are filled with feral life forms and untamed wilderness planets, the ideal place for an explorer to make his claim to fame.

The Outer Zones are the quietest zones in the Sector. They show remarkably low levels of sentient life but are also filled with many ancient treasures, possibly from a species which inhabited the area long ago. The planets which are inhabited, however, are often very important areas.

Copolis Zone[]

The Copolis Zone is one of the largest and most important zones in the sector. It is the cultural capital of the Alliance and is the Alliance's main development target. It is home to the planet Krea, the wildest civilized planet in the Sector. 99% of the planet surface is covered in jungle and wild grassland.

Senshi Zone[]

The Senshi Zone is a zone home to the Senshi Empire, one of the largest and most important races in the Alliance. They are fiercely independent, and only joined the Alliance after a month of talks and a very one sided deal involving large amounts of money and assistance from the Alliance in any wars it engages in with other races. Fortunately, the only war the Senshi have fought was against the Crime World, a criminal organisation which the Alliance was already at war with.

Zarvos Zone[]

Home to the Zarvos, the most populous race in the Alliance. A hive mind at its core, the Zarvos is genetically related to the Hive, the Alliance's sworn enemy. This resulted in several skirmishes and poor early relations between the two powers.

Major Planets of the Light Sector[]

The SC System[]

The SC System is easily the most important system in the Sector. Three of the six planets are covered in developed areas, whether urban or rural, and the others are very important also.

Hearth/SC-1: The first planet of the system is the capital of the Light Sector. It is an Ecumenopolis, a worldwide city. Despite this development continues, building up and up. One of the major inventions that helped this were Self-Aware cities, run by huge administrative Networks that communicate with one another to plan out the best areas for construction, infrastructure, demolition and improvement, and how best to balance the delicate urban ecosystem.

Lune/SC-1-2 Lune is SC-1's moon and very similar.

Marce/SC-2 Marce was colonized about fifty years after SC-1 but is now almost as developed and important.

Jupar/SC-3 Jupar is the system's largest planet, a gas giant which regulates the asteroid belt in the system. The planet has many moons and is being mined heavily for raw materials.

History[]

This is the history of the LSA in brief. For a more detailed history, see Fiction:Light Sector Alliance/History.

Early History[]

The LSA was originally founded by four races, the Elliontics, the Workan, the Generia and the Atrikree. These four cultures encountered each other early in their era of exploration, and found themselves in a desolate region of space devoid of any recognizable life. They formed an Alliance, known as the Light Sector Union, to explore and colonize the sector. Eventually they came across a great threat; Dark Matter beings known as Rays who inhabited black holes and sucked the life out of stars. The war with the Rays was long and hard, but eventually the LSU managed to defeat them by destroying their black hole.

Founding of the Light Sector Alliance[]

The LSA in its current form was founded soon

Relations[]

Allies[]

Green face

  • Kread Galactic Union-One of our oldest allies, the KGU have proven themselves worthy of our trust. We will fight with them no matter what.
  • Delpha Coalition of Planets-The first of the Universe's great Empires we met, the DCP have shown their worth many times. We have fought side by side in several wars, and they helped us defend ourselves from Taberon
  • United Republic of Cyrannus-We fought alongside them in the Intergalactic War, and have maintained good relations with them since.
  • Kraw-The Kraw are, in our opinion, the most trustable race in the Kraw Galaxy. We disagree with their idea of fighting against their ridicule, but we are trying to sort out the mess.
  • Friendly Republic of the Asgord-A very friendly empire. We wish them well.
  • Republic of Hanerith-They were our first extragalactic contact. We have a very special bond which can only be achieved by so many years of friendship.

Neutral[]

Yellow face

  • Iteok Khereg-The Iteok are a very violent race. We do not yet trust them, and if it comes to it we will fight them in Tzhrhokia. They have not yet done anything against us directly, so we remain neutral.
  • True Asgord Empire-We disagree with them but again they have done nothing wrong, yet.

Tahars-They attacked our god, but do not yet show any signs of agression towards us.

  • Darokan Empire-They once attacked us, but they seem to have stopped. We will have to investigate this mysterious race further.
  • Any Others Not Yet Met

Enemies[]

Red face

  • Grox Empire-Ah, the Grox. The Old Enemy themselves. We have been in conflict with them for many years and have still not truly defeated them.
  • Xhodocto-We have fought against them twice, and twice we have come to the brink of destruction.
  • The Hive-The Hive are one of our greatest enemies.

Quotes from Other Empires[]

Feel free to put quotes here

โ€œHmm...The Light Sector Alliance are a strange case. We are not sure whether to trust them or not, but for now we are not powerful enough to make a decision either way.โ€

- Citizen of the True Human Empire

Hanerith Galaxy[]

The Alliance owns the Light Sector entirely but they also have millions of colonies in other galaxies, particularly a small sattelite galaxy named the Hanerith galaxy, which they completely dominate except for a few local empires, who are members of the LSA. It is smaller than the Plazith Rim and is an irregular galaxy.
