The Intergalactic infobox infobox war was an intergalactic conflict that began in the year 10 BTC when the expansive and genocidal Cognatus were manipulated by the Great Deceiver, Antediluvian as per his master plan to bring the entire galaxy under a New Order.

The Cognatus left few survivors in their genocidal rampage across Cyrannus, intent on the destruction of the noble and peaceful United Republic of Cyrannus. However, the Republic wouldn't fight alone in their battle against the evil zealots, with empires such as Rambo Nation, the Delpha Coalition of Planets and even the Vartekian Empire fighting against the Cognatus.

Considered one of the infobox infobox wars that helped shape the current Gigaquadrant, the Intergalactic infobox infobox war has went down in history as one of the most devastating infobox infobox wars on record.

Prologue

The RSD Liberator is attacked by Imperial forces.

During the final weeks of the Second Galactic infobox infobox war, the Capricorn Sector Alliance began a campaign to rid the Cyrannus Galaxy of any remaining forces loyal to the Imperial Alliance. However, unbeknownst to the inhabitants of the Core, the Imperials managed to set up a large chain of colonies in the Outer Rim mostly near to the borders of the Mortalitas Empire. According to Allied intelligence, the Imperials only held a small number of minor outposts in the region and so sent a single Liberator-class Star Destroyer, the RSD Olympic under the command of Captain Tovek Nortesa to invade the region.

When the RSD Olympic arrived in the region, it was suddenly ambushed by a pair of Imperial frigates. Though the Olympic was one of the most advanced vessels in the fleet, it was caught by the Imperials with its shields down, thus allowing them to cause significant damage to the Alliance vessel. With the hypermatter core on the brink of destruction, Nortesa ordered his navigational officer to launch a blind hyperspace jump with the hope of escaping the Imperials. Luckily for the crew of the Olympic, the hyperdrive launched successfully. Unfortunately however, while escaping through hyperspace, the Olympic was severed by an unknown force, with one half of the once mighty Star Destroyer being pulled apart by the extreme force of hyperspace while the other half entered realspace.

Nortesa is killed by the infobox infobox warmaster.

Three hours later, Captain Nortesa awoke on the bridge of his flagship. To his horror, every single member of his once valiant crew was dead. The captain however, was largely intact. Suddenly, he felt a presence behind him. Before he could turn to see who it was, everything went dark. When he awoke, he found himself in what he could only describe as a template, with the walls surrounding him being filled with religious iconography. When his vision returned to normal, he was shocked to see a massive alien standing in front of him. Behind the alien was what appeared to be a portal with the outline of a large menacing figure barely visible in the maw of the anomaly. Nortesa attempted to get to his feet, so he could question the alien individual, but before he could, the alien stepped forinfobox infobox ward and placed a large energy sword at the captain's throat.

Nortesa raised his hands in surrender, but the alien ignored the gesture, pressing his sword ever closer to the captain's throat. The alien's voice was cold, deep and filled with fury.

"Emissary from the Core. Your people have committed an unforgivable sign. Now, you and the rest of your wretched kind will suffer the vengeance of the gods!"

Nortesa raised his brow in confusion and attempted to calm the zealot by smiling weakly.

"You must have made a mistake, my people have committed no sin. We come in peac-"

Before Nortesa could complete his sentence, the alien growled and plunged his energy sword through Nortesa's chest. Nortesa's eyes bulged as he looked down on the sword. Blood was pouring from his chest. The alien suddenly grabbed Nortesa by the head and slowly pulled the captain toinfobox infobox ward him, further impaling him with the sword. With a single movement of the alien's arm, the energy sword carved through Nortesa's head, killing the noble captain.

With the interloper dead, the alien, infobox infobox warmaster Azen'Luaphoee turned toinfobox infobox ward the anomaly. The Cogsangui knelt out of respect.

"My Lord. The heretic has been destroyed as you requested. What is your will, so I can carry it out in your glorious name."

The anomaly lit up, the lights within swirling at immeasurable speeds. The mysterious entity within spoke in a quiet whisper.

"You have done well. These infidels have committed heresy against us. Take your fleets into the Core. Punish them."

The anomaly began to dissipate. When it was completely gone, infobox infobox warmaster 'Luaphoee rose to his feet.

He had work to do.

History

Year 10 BTC

The Battle of Eire rages.

In the aftermath of the attack on the USS Hood and the discovery of the ancient artifacts on the unknown world, the Capricorn Sector Alliance and Rambo Nation began to prepare their fleets for the inevitable conflict that lay ahead. Many empires came to their aid, but the Cognatus had the early advantage, the allies knew nothing about them, their culture nor their technology. The early weeks of the infobox infobox war were quiet, but this all changed when the Cognatus attacked the CSA colony of Eire in the Outer Rim of Cyrannus. When the CSA officials spoted the Cognatus fleet, they were shocked to learn that it was in fact made of an unknown material. A few hours later, complete contact was lost with the planet and a CSA strikeforce was sent to retake Eire, however they found that the entire planet had been layed to waste and glassed, with no survivors. However, after many weeks of conflict and aid from Admiral Cretacea, the Cognatus were forced to regroup. The Eire campaign, as it became known, become one of the most important victories of the infobox infobox war, despite occuring in its early stages. In the aftermath of this CSA victory, the Doriaca Kingdom joined with the allies against the new threat of the Cognatus.

The Battle of the Cyrannus-Quadrantia Wormhole.

During the early months of 10 BTC, the Capricorn Sector Alliance was refomed by President Apollo into the United Republic of the Cyrannus Galaxy, primarilly due to combatting the Cognatus threat. Meanwhile, the Rambo began researching into the Lost unknown structures found all across the Quadrants and the Cyrannus Galaxy, perhaps linked to the Rambo Gods and maybe even the Thirteenth Tribe. And the all powerful Delpha Coalition of Planets joined the infobox infobox war. Thel'Vicliquam, and his flagship the Shadow of Liberty began a campaign against Rambo Nation during these early stages of the infobox infobox war, attacking convoys on the Cyrannus-Quadrantia Wormhole near the planet Yudumarth however before Captain Ramcard could catch it, it vanished from sight.

However, during this time, a new nation was found, the Ancientia Kingdom made first contact with the URC, and a strong alliance was born between both the the Ancientia, and the URC and Rambo Nation.

Year 9 BTC

A URC Fleet engages Cognatus cruisers over Cadian.

As 9 BTC began, the new found Acientia reconnected with their other Rambo brothers and sisters of Quadrant 82 and pledged a large taskforce to helping the allies against the Cognatus juggernaut, which was now terrorizing Rambo fleets across Quadrant 82 such as the Battle of Javan, when the Shadow of Liberty attacked the Rambo ships, in a process that appeared similar to a game.

Meanwhile, on Eire, the Cognatus still controlled large regions near the poles of the planet and quickly learned the location of the rich colony of Cadian, often known as the capital of the Outer Rim of Cyrannus. By the time three CCS-class Battlecruisers arrived in orbit over Cadian, they were quickly attacked by the defending URC Fleet, which although doing quite well intially, failed to bring down the shields of the Cognatus craft. The majority of the URC fleet was destroyed, and the planet was soon glassed, with little survivors. Back in Quadrant 82, Captain Rambam continued on his quest to rescue Princess Ramtilsae, who was kidnapped by bounty hunters. Due to his intelligence and bravery, he rescued her, and returned her to the Rambo Capital.

The Unknown Dark Entity arises and destroys the URC Troopers.

However, perhaps the darkest day in the infobox infobox war was overlooked by later scholars, but while on Eire, Republic troopers battling the Cognatus discovered an ancient artifact which led them to an unknown lava planet deep in the unknown regions. The planet had many old ruins, and many words and phrases were found upon them, such as Nagith, Apocalypta and the famous phrase, All of this has happened before... However, before the team sent to the planet could explore further, an unknown entity awakened, its power sent fear down the backs of the Libertus troopers, who were driven mad by the entity's evil gaze. However, no word was given to Republic Command about this event, as no Republic force lived to tell the tale...

However the infobox infobox war with the Cognatus was about to become truly intergalactic, with the Delpha Coalition of Planets invading Cognatus space in the Milky Way. The DCP's early victories in this campaign gave the citizens of Cyrannus a bit of hope in a darkening infobox infobox war. However, this did little to halt the unrelenting Cognatus genocide on Cyrannus, within this year, the majority of the URC colonies in the Outer Rim were destroyed and glassed by the Cognatus, crippling the trade lanes of the galaxy.

Year 8 BTC

The Miluiel use their powers to defend Apollo against the Cognatus Martyr.

The year of 8 BTC began on a very dark note for the allied forces. The United Republic of Cyrannus, despite being quite young of age, was going through one of the most dramatic economic downturns in recent Gigaquadrantic History, due to the Cognatus destroying the Outer Rim colonies of the URC, effectively strangling the Inner Rim and the Core Worlds. It was only through the leadership of President Apollo that the nation mustered up the moral to fight the Cognatus. The Cognatus understood that if they killed Apollo, the Republic would crumple easily to their might. They learned that Apollo was visiting Coruindia in the Core Worlds, and that he was lightly guarded. They sent their most lethal servant, the Martyr to kill Apollo, however they failed to anticipate the power of the Miluiel, who were protecting Apollo, and this cost them the life of the Martyr, who was killed by the energies of an Miluiel.

Meanwhile on the Rambo Capital Planet, Princess Ramtilsae discovered another ancient structure dedicated to the Rambo Ultimate God. While exploring, she found the ancient Rambo starship, the USS Boneventura, but could not explore it as many Cognatus troopers entered from beyond a portal. Her soliders killed and captured the Cognatus infobox infobox warriors, while she made her way further into the relic, where she found an individual known as the Judge of the Shrine. The two travelled together to the Core of the Planet and Ramtilsae met the Ancrevialicia. Ramtilsea soon invited them to leave the core and enter the Rambo society, something they hesitantly agreed with.

Meanwhile, the Cognatus also came under attack by the Vartekian Empire, who in particular dealed with General Arivino, whoses failures made him the desgrace of the Cognatus, who decided to disown him and mark him for dead.

Year 7 BTC

One of the hundreds of planetary bombardments to occur during the Fall of the Inner Rim.

7 BTC was one of the most devastating years of the Intergalactic infobox infobox war. After the near complete annhilation of the Outer Rim Colonies of the URC, the Cognatus armada began its genicidal crusades into the Inner Rim, one of the most heavily populated regions of the galaxy. As the Cognatus reached closer and closer to the Core Worlds, the swept aside smaller empires with ease, glassing them, killing millions if not billions of civilians and military alike. It was truly a dark time for the URC, which had yet to see an era of peace. Everyday, more and more reports came to the Cyrannian Government of the loss of hundreds of innocent infobox infobox wars. President Apollo, furious with these defeats ordered the largest military action in the recent history of Cyrannus to protect innocent worlds from Cognatus destruction. A new ship class, the Nebula-class Star Destroyer was built at Scorpia Fleet Shipyards, armed with a superlaser, its designers hoped that it would take the battle to the Cognatus. Its first test run occured over the ice planet AO-192, when the Nebula-class prototype, the Purger ambused a Cognatus fleet repairing for another attack. Jumping out of lightspeed, the Purger immediately armed it's superlaser and fired it directly at the CCS-class Battlecrusier, before it could raise its shields, destroying it.

Battle of AO-192

The success of this new ship evened out the infobox infobox war throughout this year, but to the dismay of the URC, the Nebula-class were too few to change the outcome of the infobox infobox war, and their numbers quickly began to dwindle to the might of the Cognatus. The Fall of the Inner Rim seemed to be finished, though luckily help was at hand. The DCP responded to the aid of the URC, and quickly began to halt the Cognatus advances in the Inner Rim, though facing heavy casualities, the tide of infobox infobox war quickly started to change.

Year 6 BTC

Ari'Vino and Votarah fight to the death.

As 6 BTC began, the Delpha Coalition wasn't the only faction winning victories against the Cognatus. After facing some defeats in the early years of the infobox infobox war, the Vartekian leadership sent their most vicious and important admiral, Admiral Votarah to fight against the Cognatus. Shipmaster Ari'Vino was sent to combat against the fearless Votarah and faced him many times in battle. The two battled several times to near death, but always finding new ways to prolong both of their demise. On one occasion, Ari'Vino was captured by Vartekian and brought before Votarah. Because of this, he was disowned by the Cognatus and destined to live the rest of his live in shame.

Meanwhile in the Outer Rim, the Cognatus decide to invade the illusive Basileus, a race that had not yet come to the forefront of galactic politics. Taking a large fleet, the Cognatus, under the command of Voro'Acetee invaded Basileus space. However, they had greatly underestimated their victims. As soon as the first Cognatus ship entered Basileus space, they were immediately engaged by huge Basileus infobox infobox warships. After a series of bloody and brutal battles, the Cognatus decided to retreat and to concentrate their attacks on the falling Republic.

Year 5 BTC

Apollo and Lord Covaitan sign a peace treaty.

During 5 BTC, the Republic government met together to discuss a transmission sent from the leader of the Vartekians, the coldblooded killer known as Lord Covaitan. Covaitan offered a peace treaty until the Intergalactic infobox infobox war was over and the Cognatus threat, eliminated. Apollo, ever the diplomat, decided to accept Covaitan's offer. The two met on a cold, ice planet in the Mid Rim where they met and discussed the infobox infobox war. The two agreed to cease possible hostilities between the Republic and the Vartekian Empire, until the infobox infobox war is over, at which time they can fight each other once more.

As the Cognatus infobox infobox war machine pushed further and further into the Core Worlds, an unlikely civilization was observing the infobox infobox war with great scrutiny, the Great Corthrinusi Empire, a race of Capricornians native to the Unknown Regions. While scouring the galaxy in the search of resources, the Corthrinus happened upon the Cognatus main invasion hyperspace lanes. Sending a fleet, the Corthrinus discovered the Cognatus ambusing a previously unknown civilization, the United Republic of Cyrannus.

It didn't take long hacking into both civilization's computer databases to discover which empire they wished to aid in the infobox infobox war. Decloaking just outside the battlespace, the Corthrinus opened fire on the shields of the Cognatus vessels, overloading the reactors and causing the enemy ships to explode. However, the illusive Corthrinus didn't have any intention on staying after picking up incoming ships from hyperspace, a titantic fleet of Cognatus vessels. The Corthrinus informed the Republic of the incoming threat, but left before it arrived, leaving the URC to fight alone. Because of the fact that no Republic survivors were heard from that day, their knowledge of the Corthrinus died with them. It wouldn't be for the next major infobox infobox war that they would once again emerge.

• The original story of the Intergalactic infobox infobox war began on May 11th 2010 and ended on September 18th 2010.
• Cyrannian started the current retcon of the infobox infobox war on June 17th 2011, which continues to this day. He did this in order to help merge it with the current canon of his fiction.
