This is an empire of half-golems, basically the species discovered a way to bind their souls into golems with the help of some god or dragolith which they now worship, making them into immortal magic rocks. Their society is divided in two communities, the species itself and the golem-kind. The first one's goals are to learn as much as possible, ensure the continuation of their species and create their new body. The ritual ensues and they become the golem-kind, which are the mature version of their species. They do most of the labour in the empire and try to protect members of the original species.
