Conflict is a part of Eupherion, and we will never know who seeded so much hatred among us. Empires war, governments destroy, and the individual kills and this is a fact of life we have all gotten used to. But we could be better; within all of us is the seed of Eupherion, the seed of home, and that makes us all brothers. We may conflict, we may destroy, but in the end, there is always potential for us to unite and become something...more.

Eupherion is what we all have in common.

- Unknown

The Eupherion Galaxy, also known to the Zalax as the Scarred Throne, to the Cahrinvaeri as Haven, and to the wider Gigaquadrant society as the Circinus Galaxy, is an enormous Ultraterrestrial-created spiral galaxy located within the Ikiwa Eropsii cluster of the First Gigaquadrant.

By far the largest of the galaxies within the Gigaquadrant, Eupherion is known for its extremely unique background levels of Essence that is far more prevalent in Eupherion than anywhere else in the Gigaquadrant. Eupherion is also well known for its highly divided society and culture only barely tied together by the last remains of the Zalax, a precursor race from Eupherion who's height saw them spread throughout the galaxy and the wider First Gigaquadrant. Eupherion is a highly isolated galaxy; wormholes linking other galaxies to Eupherion are extremely seldom found and extragalactic colonization efforts are often thwarted or destroyed by the galaxy's native civilizations or wildlife.

In relation to the Xonexi Cluster and the Milky Way, Eupherion is over 13 million light years in distance from the galaxy and its neighbors; in its position relative to its neighbors within the Ikiwa Eropsii cluster, it is located between the Mirus Galaxy and the Borealis Galaxy, and the farthest galaxy from Eupherion would be the Tuuros Galaxy. On typical Eupheric astrographic projections dating back to the time of the Zalax, Eupherion is divided into several regions; the Core Sector, Inner Sector, and Outer Sector make up the central core regions of Eupherion, whereas the "outer rim" sectors of Gharka-Nar, Bhala-Dahvar, Zerilia, and Ohvalik make up the outermost regions of Eupherion and are relatively disconnected from each other. Eupherion has a variety of satellite galaxies that orbit it; Kazathir, Vahraithai, and Maschaidi are the three satellite galaxies that orbit Eupherion and all have their own inner politics and species that are relatively disconnected from Eupherion and the wider Gigaquadrant.

Eupherion has been home to many of the Gigaquadrant's most influential civilizations in ages past; the Zalax having been the most recent and having an established presence within many galaxies across the First Gigaquadrant. Others include the Cahrinvaeri, an even older race of machines who's technology and power far eclipsed the Zalax, and indeed, the technology of the vast majority of civilizations in the modern day. Eupherion is home to other influential planets such as Norhara, a Gigaquadrantically famous location known for its highly developed and famous schools in the arts of Essence, and Aghri-Ka, the capital world and homeworld of the Stihn, of who formerly owned much of the lower ends of Eupheric space.

History

First Epoch (12,000,000,000 BC - 1,000,000,000 BC)

The First Epoch, or the Creation Epoch, refers to the original creation of the Eupherion Galaxy by the Ultraterrestrials known as the Aeon Enigmas, also known as the First Wayfarers by the few Eupherion natives that know of their existence. The Aeon Enigmas coalesced Eupherion around the supermassive black hole that the Enigmas called home, following their arrival from their home dimension after the environment of their home dimension became far too cold and hostile because of the influence of the Heirax that were attempting to absorb the Enigmas. Eupherion's existence was generally kept secret due to the other ultraterrestrials that controlled the Gigaquadrant at the time of the Enigma's arrival in the Gigaquadrant, and thus Eupherion generally remains devoid of major Zhulultu artifacts.

It is generally known that the Eupherion Galaxy formed between thirteen and twelve billion years ago, and it's generally accepted that twelve billion years was the general date where the galaxy came into existence. The Enigmas were, by virtue of being the creators of the Eupherion Galaxy and all matter and celestial objects within it, the first sapient species to have inhabited the Eupherion Galaxy. There were many conflicting theories amongst the current intelligentsia of the Na Shava's scholarly sects about the origin of life in Eupherion; it's said life first arose 6.7 billion years ago, and that the Enigmas were said to have directly created life and served as the caretakers of life under their rule. It's known that Eupherion species were generally considered different from life that evolved at the time, which was comparatively few, due to the influence of the Aeon Enigmas on the galaxy. Eupherite species were known to be more inclined towards the usage of Essence in their biology.

The Aeon Enigmas were responsible for the creations of some of the first artificial intelligences in the First Gigaquadrant; using their own technology, the Enigmas were the creators of the Ilacairen, which were artificial intelligences advanced enough that they were considered to be gods second only to the Enigmas themselves. The Ilacairen served as the personal servants of the Enigmas and their favored representatives; each Enigmas was said to have one Ilacairen presence to serve their needs, and the Ilacairen were as much of an influence as their creators. The Ilacairen were said to have been intrinsically tied with realspace itself and thus no perceptible physical element was used in their creation, and thus the Ilacairen were said to have been truly immortal.

The Aeon Enigmas constructed many artifacts and gigastructures throughout Eupherion; during the time of the Enigmas, the capital of Eupherion was the birch world of Vantaeal which housed the "government" the Enigmas ruled over, and an uncountable quadrillions of species that existed both in realspace and in the digital space that was provided by the birch world. Other notable constructs included a web of pure psionic defense structures that helped isolate Eupherion from the rest of the First Gigaquadrant, and these structures still exist, though are unknown to the galaxy itself. Over the years, Eupherion developed a unique Essence signature that was unique to the Enigmas and Eupherion itself; the Enigmas would come to manipulate this signature themselves in recognition of its existence and through the combination of their home dimension's energies and the energies of their beings, would form the pseudo-essence known as the Dreamweave, which would remain as the galaxy's unique essence even into the modern day.

During the twilight years of the rule of the Enigmas, they would eventually attract the attention of the Heirax that had forced them from their home dimension and would pursue them into Eupherion itself. The first "Ozax Crisis" would result from the direct appearance of the Heirax in the First Gigaquadrant, and their first appearance altogether, causing the Heirax to wage another war of extermination against the Enigmas and the Eupherion Galaxy. It's known that the Enigmas created the Riftplane as a means of protecting the races of Eupherion at the time from the Heirax, though this failed and thus the Riftplane fell into disrepair and instability as a result of it. The Enigmas disappeared at the turn of one billion years before the modern age following the deaths of the Enigmas themselves, withdrawing to the Galactic Core entirely and disappearing. Following this time, the Ozax would emerge un-challenged and scourge much of Eupherion's life before being forced to withdraw back to Marrow.

The retreat of the Enigmas and the ravaging of the galaxy by the Ozax left a permanent mark on the galaxy. The Dreamweave, which was formerly the most prevalent supernatural presence within the galaxy, was suddenly left challenged by the presence of Aberric energy which remained in extremely large amounts due to the Ozax invasion of Eupherion. Over time, Aberric energy would fade into the background, and remain a permanent part of Eupherion's existence. After the end of the Ozax Crisis at the time, the Ilacairen returned to heal the galaxy and take up the mantle of stewards of the galaxy, thus bringing the First Epoch to a close and leading into the dawn of the Second Epoch

Second Epoch (1,000,000,000 BC - 600,000,000 BC)

Third Epoch (600,000,000 BC - 200,000,000 BC)

Fourth Epoch (200,000,000 BC - 10,000,000 BC)

Fifth Epoch (10,000,000 BC - 700,000 BC)

Sixth Epoch (700,000 BC - 100,000 BC)

Seventh Epoch (100,000 BC - Present)

Sectors

The Eupherion Galaxy is one of the largest galaxies in the First Gigaquadrant, and is divided into 7 distinct sectors. Galactic division by sector varies within various civilizations, but the most common galactic map is the Zalax atlas - division of the center of the galaxy into outer, inner, and central core and the outlying parts into Ohvalik, Zerilia, Bhala-Dahvar, and Gharka-Nar sectors. To most, the Central Core is inaccessible to colonization by the residing remnants of various Zalax technology barring entrance to the core, which houses the enormous space citadel of the Na Shava. The inner and outer core areas are the most politically complex areas of the galaxy, holding the most amount of civilizations than every other sector combined. The outer core is mostly dominated by the influence of the Second Xrykorian Alliance or the Khavrol Centralized Worlds, but several civilizations on the farther edges of the Outer Core lie outside of either superpower’s influence. The Ohvalik sector is home to most of the historical wars that have occured in the galaxy - the Corvarin Animus and Tyaxuxon being the most notable powers in the Ohvalik sector, each dangerous power preoccupied with the extermination of the other. Bhala-Dahvar is isolated from the rest of the galaxy politically, and has been known as the “Dark Sector” due to the reclusive nature of the powers that reside inside them. The Inur Matriarchy has little to do with the galaxy, and the Karkyx Band rarely travels outside of its borders. The dominating power is arguably the Khargaelic Hordes, who conduct ruthless and savage raids on the other powers and beyond. The Gharka-Nar sector is, aside from the hawkish and imperialistic Inuneridality and Mantles of the Korinaeya, relatively peaceful compared to the other regions, though its inhabitants are no less dangerous than the rest of the galaxy.

Core Sector

The Core Sector is located at the very heart of Eupherion and contains the galaxy's enigmatic and extremely coveted galactic core, a supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy that is unreachable by any known method of travel. In the ancient past of Eupherion, the Core Sector served as the seat of power for the Aeon Enigmas, the Ilacairen, and in the Fifth Epoch, the Cahrinvaeri. In the First Epoch, the Aeon Enigmas made their homes within the core of Eupherion's galactic core, though with the passage of time they retreated through the galactic core and out of the universe for unknown reasons, though Na Shava scholars assume that the encroaching forces of Marrow had a hand in the disappearance of the Aeon Enigmas.

Unlike many other galaxies of the First Gigaquadrant, the galactic core never housed a Grox presence at the core. Oftentimes entry into Eupherion through wormhole networks was complicated and was rarely successful; the few times Grox probes successfully entered Eupherion through its core was during the Fifth Epoch, wherein the Cahrinvaeri simply destroyed or otherwise rebelled Grox probes for each attempt made into Eupherion. Instead, the Core often functioned as the heart of the galaxy's largest civilizations, though over time access to the core was lost and by the Sixth Epoch, there was no known way to enter the space near the Galactic Core.

Millions of years before the rise of the Zalax, the Core Sector was the nexus of the Cahrinvaeri Builders, of who emerged from the galactic core, and their origins and creation are still unknown. Though the Cahrinvaeri were not unified by any means, the galactic core served as a neutral nexus between the Cahrinvaeri and their favored location to converge. The extinction event of the Fifth Epoch during the arrival of the Ozax during that age led to the fall of the Cahrinvaeri during the end of the Fifth Epoch, and subsequently the start of the Sixth Epoch.

By the dawn of the Sixth Epoch, the Core Sector was generally chaotic and civilization fell without the protection of the Cahrinvaeri. Over thousands of years, however, civilization rose once again. Over time, the Sixth Epoch became home to many major civilizations that rose and fell over the course of the Sixth Epoch and was constantly in conflict with the civilizations from the Inner and Outer sectors that desired control over the galactic core. Towards the later years of the Sixth Epoch, the Core Sector fell victim to the various conquests of the Zalax during their expansion across Eupherion. Though the galactic core remained free of Zalax rule, the core was invariably brought under Zalax control. The fall of the Zalax allowed civilizations to rise once more, and in the Seventh Epoch, the Core Sector remains a populated sector free of control by any major power.

Planets

Inner Sector

Located between the Core Sector and the Outer Sector, the Inner Sector (often known as the Outer Core as well) is the region closest the core that can be considered the most easily accessible. The Inner Sector is home to several species and various smaller civilizations and microstates that are often in conflict with those in the neighboring Outer Sector. The Inner Sector is often said to be the calmest and the most pleasant of the galactic regions and this does have a grain of truth to it; the Inner Sector lacks the presence of major, galactic civilizations and the smaller civilizations in the Inner Sector are rarely in contact with each other.

The Inner Sector historically has remained under control by larger powers often originating from the Inner Sector itself. Many times the Inner Sector has been under either total control by a native or foreign civilization, or was partitioned between a small number of major civilizations. The most recent major civilizations to have exerted their total control over the Inner Sector was the Zalax who took control of the Inner Sector during the last of their major conquests. The others are the Karkyx Band and the Norharan Dominion; the Karkyx controlling much of the galaxy during their height, and the Norharan Dominion controlling the Inner Sector during the height of their own civilization, having taken control from the Karkyx Band. Since the decline of both of these powers, the Inner Sector has remained free from control.

The Inner Sector lacks major important trade routes that connect it to the other sectors. The majority of the trade routes that go through the Inner Sector only do so as a shortcut between locations. As a result, the planets of the Inner Sector tend not to end up as economically important as those in the Outer Sector, and the Inner Sector remains culturally disconnected from other sectors and do not mix during trade. On the other hands, certain civilizations such as the Takri-Zah often exploit those in the Inner Sector for resources and oftentimes, subjects for slavery.

Planets

Outer Sector

The Outer Sector, also known as the Inner Rim, is located outside of the Inner Sector. It's generally assumed that the Outer Sector, compared to the other galactic sectors of Eupherion, is considered the center of Eupheric civilization and culture in the galaxy. Indeed, the Outer Sector is home to the galaxy's wealthiest, most prosperous worlds and individuals who make their homes within the various powers of the Outer Sector. From the sprawling ecumenopolisi such as the old and weathered world of Aghri-Ka to the galaxy's cultural capitals such as Xrykor, and to the ancient capitals of old fallen empires such as the dark, bioluminescent world of Norhara.

The Outer Sector has generally been defined throughout history by the influence of both the native species within, to the species of neighboring Gharka-Nar that tend to expand throughout the Outer Sector. It's known that the Outer Sector is commonly dominated by native powers who are often powerful enough to expand to the other sectors; indeed, the three greatest rising powers of modern day, the Second Xrykorian Alliance, Khavrol Centralized Worlds, and the Great Stihn Empire have been strong enough to exert their influence and power on a galactic scale unseen for millennia. Culturally, the Outer Sector remains highly diverse; the Xrykorians of Xrykor have proven to be the bastion of democracy in the region, and the Khavrol of Khav Rahalla have remained staunch collectivists, and the Stihn of Aghri-Ka have been feared on a galactic scale for their staunch militarism and vast conquests that left swathes of the galaxy underneath Stihn rule.

The Outer Sector is generally considered to be the economic center of Eupherion; the trade capital of Eupherion lies within the world of Xrykor, where traders from across the galaxy peddle their wares underneath the Xrykorian Alliance's free, trade-encouraging laws. Blending the economic prosperity of the worlds within as well as the influx of imports from other sectors, the Outer Sector is often the subject of migration movements from across the galaxy who come to live within the various wealthy worlds of the Outer Sector. The existence of Eupherion's galactic Grid encourages high amounts of trade and wealth collection throughout the Outer Sector; the various major trade routes that stretch between the four major Grid Relays allow wealth, trade goods, and migrants to pass between these ports with relative ease. Unfortunately the existence of the Relays means that there is still a rife criminal underworld within the Outer Sector. Criminal organizations such as the Black Syndicate and the House of Kla-Kulan make their bases within the Outer Sector and its Gharka-Nar neighbor, and there is considerably peddling of slaves by the Takri-Zah Hierarchy along the Orathani Run that cuts through its territory.

Planets

Gharka-Nar

The Gharka Nar Sector is a large and sprawling galactic region, located on the outer edge of the Eupherion Galaxy and bordering the Zerilia and Bhala-Dahvar sectors. The Gharka-Nar sector is generally segregated from the politics, intrigue, and wars of the Outer Sector and there exists a slight cultural and political barrier between the Outer Sector and the Gharka-Nar Sector. Gharka-Nar is known as the most populated of Eupherion's sectors and contains more rife politics and and diplomatic friction than the Outer Sector; whereas the Outer Sector is mostly divided between the Second Xrykorian Alliance, the Khavrol Centralized Worlds, and the remnants of the Great Stihn Empire, the Gharka-Nar sector remains highly divided and unstable.

The Gharka-Nar Sector is home to many of Eupherion's greater powers; civilizations such as the Inuneridality, Mantles of the Korinaeya, and United Paznelkian Dominion

ZalaxPatrol

Mal-Zalax, the political, cultural, and economic heart of Eupherion in the Sixth Epoch.

all call Gharka-Nar home. Militarily, the Gharka-Nar sector is dominated by the presence of the Inuneridality, of whose existence constantly threatens its neighbors and the wider Gharka-Nar sector to the point of near-war multiple times, and it's generally considered that the Inuneridality is constantly prepared to wage a war that would bring the Gharka-Nar sector to its knees whenever the time would call for it. The Gharka-Nar sector also has multiple vassal states of the Second Xrykorian Alliance; the four most notable of which are the Ahari States, Republic of Mahro Da, Tihitsu Kingdom, and States of the Iluhar'li.

In the early days of the Sixth Epoch, the Gharka-Nar sector was most notably the seat of the Zalax's intergalactic empire; the Zalax arose from the world of Mal-Zalax within the Kal-Zalax system, located in the upper reaches of the Gharka-Nar sector, and from there the Zalax would grow to encompass nearly all of Eupherion and encompass territory in galaxies across the First Gigaquadrant. The Gharka-Nar sector, due to the critical importance it held to the Zalax, contained the last vestiges of Zalax civilization before their eventual extinction as a species; due to this, Gharka-Nar contains by far the highest concentrations of Zalax artifacts, derelicts, and ruins compared to other galactic sectors and former Zalax territories in other galaxies.

Ohvalik

Of all the sectors in Eupherion, the Ohvalik Sector is by far the least populated, explored, and generally avoided due to many sentiments that the Ohvalik Sector is either haunted or dangerous to lurk in. The Ohvalik Sector historically has been home to Eupherion's most aggressive and dangerous species, and only rarely has the Ohvalik sector ever had any considerable threat to its sovereignty and existence. The Ohvalik Sector lost much of its biodiversity and life 60,000 years before the modern day; the awakening of the extremely dangerous and powerful Thrycite Entity eventually led to the Entity scourging the majority of intelligent life in Ohvalik before their defeat by the Karkyx Band.

The Ohvalik Sector was notably the only sector to have consistently successfully resisted the conquests of the Zalax during their rise to prominence; the Zalax had, multiple times, attacked the Ohvalik Sector en masse though were repelled by the sector's more vile and hated inhabitants multiple times. In their desire to "civilize" Ohvalik and exterminate the horrors within, the Zalax eventually took too many losses to continue to care about the Ohvalik Sector's existence and ceased their conquests over time. After the fall of the Zalax, it was assumed that the defeats suffered by the Zalax by the hands of Ohvalik races was what prompted contemporary races to seize the chance to revolt and destroy the remains of the Zalax, rather than live in fear of their former overlords.

In the current age, the Ohvalik Sector remains an avoided region. The Ohvalik Sector remains home to some of the most hateful and terrible entities within the Gigaquadrant, the most notable two are the two civilizations that control the majority of the Ohvalik Sector; the Tyaxuxon Hives and the Corvarin Animus, the two of which are extremely hateful towards other forms of life and are permanently locked within an enormous, bloody war that has seen the Tyaxuxon Hives slowly forced to push towards the neighboring Outer Sector.

Despite the presence of the Corvarin Animus and the Tyaxuxon Hives, the Ohvalik Sector is still home to other presences from outside of the sector. The Great Stihn Empire held a large portion of the Ohvalik Sector in its grasp and was the only major civilization known to have had major skirmishes with the Tyaxuxon Hives during its existence; the fall of the Great Stihn Empire meant that many suddenly-undefended colonies were left to the maws of the Tyaxuxon Hives, but the Remnant Lords, Alliance of the Stihn, and the Dominion still retain control over much of the former Great Empire's Ohvalik territories.

Satellites

Eupherion has a variety of naturally formed satellite galaxies orbiting it; currently, only three been observed and subsequently accessed by the Eupherion inhabitants. The satellite galaxies were known to have been under the partial control of the Zalax Forebearers - and while the destruction of Eupherion has occurred a variety of times, the satellite galaxies have remained idyllic and peaceful. Civilizations from the satellite galaxies are known to be fairly advanced, often having existed for several thousands of years before their fall, without the chaotic natural selection that Eupherion has to endanger their civilization. Currently, access to all but one of the satellite galaxies is impossible due to the presence of various stellar blockades and wormhole closures the Zalax implemented in vain attempts to keep the Ozax from spreading.

Physics and Aura

Hyperspace and Travel

Like other galaxies, Eupherion possesses what can be considered as the same web of hyperlanes and the same capabilities of hyperspatial travel. Unlike other galaxies, though similar to its neighbor Tuuros, Eupherion's hyperlanes are known to be somewhat chaotic in nature. A result of the artificial creation of the hyperlane network underneath the Aeon Enigmas, the hyperlanes are not set in stone, and have a tendency to shift or outright collapse over time. While hyperlane travel is still rather safe, and shifts in hyperlanes is uncommon, there is still a present danger of being affected by these shifting hyperlanes. The sector of Zerilia is most notable; larger-than-average trace backgrounds of Aberric energy leads the Zerilia sector to have particularly unstable networks, and travel through the Zerilia sector is difficult and dangerous. Civilizations in the Zerilia sector are notably isolated due to this, and also do not rely on hyperspace travel; it's known that FTL drives in the Zerilia sector utilize jump drive technology to directly travel to system without using hyperspace as a medium, and the usage of wormhole networks in the sector provide the most efficient sector-wide travel.

Government and Politics

Eupherion is home to a wide array of various sturdy and aggressive cultures of various origin - whether being descended from the Zalax, satellite galaxies, or being natural occurances themselves, Eupherion is diverse in the civilizations that it holds. Though rarely known among the individuals of Eupherion, the Valkar had created life in the galaxies themselves, utilizing Psia to help facilitate the evolution and development of a variety of cultures and species that combined unlikelyness with aggression, unable to evolve elsewhere. The method of how life evolved in Eupherion caused all lifeforms in Eupherion to be quick to anger and quick to fight, and as such galactic unions are rare throughout history and precursor states were forced to commit bloody crusades to solidify their control over the galaxy. Since the time of the Ilacairen, the galaxy has not since been unified under any single force - political unions often only have influence in a single sector of space, and precursors such as the Zalax and Cahrinvaeri had only managed to solidify their control in wide swathes of galactic space, the outside of which were far too expensive in casualties and expenditure to attempt the invasion of by these precursor powers

As the galaxy lacks any galactic government to rein in the galactic governments, the galaxy’s political landscape is independent, uncontrolled, and very competitive - most other nations compete with each other to be the most successful and most influential civilizations, and wars occur on a daily basis. Nations such as the Sharayarr Confederated Systems and the Second Xrykorian Alliance are fairly liberal in policies and practice, supporting democracy and allowing their citizens to vote for their leaders. Others such as the Inuneridality and United Paznelkian Dominion have exceedingly dangerous leaders acting behind the scenes and controlling everything - being a dictatorship in all but name. Civilizations such as the Ka’Noct Passage and the Khargaelic Hordes lack a singular government and operate as a cult or pack - the Khargaelic Horde operating under a massive kratocracy/stratocracy, where the strongest lead warbands of their kind and the Overlord of the Khargael is the most powerful.

While the sectors of space are divided between and against each other for the most part, the divide between the satellite galaxy of Kazathir and the inhabitants of Eupherion is particularly virulent. Inhabitants of Kazathir evolved alongside the influence of Tyahrano artifacts for millions of years - and as such are aggressive and xenophobic, considered to be the most “untamed” areas of Eupherion’s space.

Species and Races

EupherionCollective

Comprising approximately fourteen million species across its vast space and satellite galaxies included, Eupherion’s species are proven to be not only extremely diverse in their body plan and biochemistry, but also prove to be physically and mentally powerful through their evolution. Because of the evolutionary assistance of the Ilacairen, life has evolved in many forms - from the pseudomorphic Inur, to the mammoth-like Xrykorians, to the quadrupedal and sloth-like Karkyx. There is no singular race that is more dominant than the others, though the Stihn almost held that title in the past with their national history.

The properties of the Ozax invasions have left various synthetic and robotic life forms scattered throughout Eupherion - subsequently, Eupherion has a number of machine races populating the galaxy. Examples of which are the Xeraxirah Caretakers and the Corvarin Animus, both of which are considered living precursors and were alive during the time of the Zalax.

Society and Culture

Zalax Influence

The Zalax were at one point the dominant culture within the Eupherion galaxy; although they were fair and just rulers of their space, and often allowed subservient cultures to exist, they remained as the most violent conquerors in recent memory. The Zalax made it a point to enforce their culture within the cultures that they dominated in their vast military conquest, and although they allowed these cultures freedom, they often forced them to include elements of Zalax culture as well. Because of this, it was often considered at the time that Eupheric culture was Zalax culture and the two terms considered interchangeable and the same. Marks of this influence still remain after the fall of the Zalax; the Eupherion galactic language is built off of a corruption and evolution of the original Zalax language, and many civilizations incorporate Zalax cultures within their own knowingly or not. One of the most prominent is the "Zalax Star" which remains a common element of Eupheric symbolism within various nations in one form or the other.

The Zalax notably were enforcers of their religion in their space, as well. Zalax were fond of erecting temples of their religion, which revolved around the worship of Draguros, space, and the concept of infinity. Many Eupheric cultures participate within the worship of Draguros, Krathazhrukhal, and more rarely, Angazhar, whether or not they are aware of the entity they worship. Draguros in particular is one of the most worshipped deities within Eupherion; of the religious population of Eupherion, worship of Draguros accounts for the largest portion of all pantheons, and of all religions, almost half of them revolve around the Xhodocto.

Language

Despite remaining a highly divided society with no overarching galactic authority, Eupherion retains a lingua franca that's commonly known as Eupheric Basic, or Galactic Common in the galaxy itself. Due to the status of the Zalax as the galaxy's foremost precursor power and the fact that certain Zalax entities remained in existence up until 56,000 BC, their language remained alive long after the fall of the Zalax civilization 100,000 BC. Due to many nascent civilizations having a tendency to utilize Zalax technology as a basis for technology of their own, the Zalax language remained a common and galactic-scale language that eventually evolved into Eupheric Basic. Though many species that lack the humanoid body plan of the Zalax find it difficult to properly speak Eupheric Basic due to their biology, the language remains adapted to all known universal translators within usage in the modern day. Most species within Eupherion can speak Basic as a secondary language to interact with others, and it remains a cornerstone language for diplomacy and for ceremony.

Other notable languages are many; the galactic sectors in Eupherion sometimes have languages of their own that remain highly popular and widespread in their local space. These languages include Drabbak Jahrar, the national language of the Inuneridality which is highly popular within the Gharka-Nar Sector; and Xrykorian Common, which is widespread throughout much of the Outer Sector and Gharka-Nar Sector as well. These languages are generally spoken due to the nature of their highly influential origin civilizations, and sometimes see their use on a galactic and intergalactic scale as well.

Galactic Organizations

Eupherion, as fractured as it is, does hold some manner of galactic political and non-political entities that call it home. The size of these organizations varies from being rather local to being galactic in scale, and their purposes and natures vary as widely. The largest of the organizations are extra-national entities with no official ties to, nor are they subservient to, any known government. One of the sole exceptions to this would be the connections of the Na Shava to the Norharan Dominion which is more or less based on millennia of trust. These organizations tend to operate outside of national bounds because of their refusal to be bound by regulations because of it being either profitable, contrary to their beliefs, or simply restricting to their duties and businesses.

The two most notable and infamous organizations, and also the two generally most feared by the public, are the Na Shava and the Chiral Order. The former, responsible for the security of the galaxy against supernational threats, is generally perceived as an immense, enigmatic presence within the Core of the galaxy, with no real true origin or explanation to their existence, and are generally seen as ghosts. The latter is a far more recent organization that grasps public imagination with fear; the Chiral Order is a order of killers that deal in assassination, mercenaries, and bounties, and is the largest of the death organizations within Eupherion. The two are generally seen internationally as the face of Eupherion's supranational organizations due to their tendency to work outside of Eupherion in other galaxies. The Na Shava work behind the scenes within not just Eupherion, but also make an established presence within most of the First Gigaquadrant and have for the millions of years they have existed. Similarly, the Chiral Order (although not nearly as prevalent) is known for taking jobs within other galaxies, most commonly Mirus.

Though less important, Eupherion is also home to various entities that profit on Eupherion's most common industry, war. Eupherion is host to a variety of large corporations that dominate the galactic scene that manufacture weapons and vehicles for civilizations across the galaxy, and are also known for their production of the various unique Eupherite compounds that form within the galaxy. Though less commonly, these are also known for their civilian industries and their production of amenities and civilian goods; in recent years, these have seen shipments to non-Eupherion civilizations as well. Piracy within Eupherion is also drastically common as well. Although mildly common in the various hyperlanes on the outside of major civilizations (and simply prevalent in smaller civilization), uncharted space outside of national borders are plagued with pirates that make international shipping a difficult and dangerous endeavor. These pirates are splintered off into separate groups, but are nonetheless menaces to law that also make money off of trafficking and smuggling.

Na Shava

Main: Na Shava

The Na Shava are the galaxy's foremost authority on matters of the supernatural. A monastic order, the Na Shava make their home within the core of the galaxy of which they purposefully seal off from the rest of the galaxy. The Na Shava are generally feared for their enigmatic nature, with the Na Shava working behind the scenes of the galaxy and only rarely ever taking direct action in matters that cannot be solved through subterfuge alone. The Na Shava also act as the galaxy's most notable educators in the arts of Essence, with Na Shava masters being notably eager to spread their teachings and equally notably, having extremely varied methods of utilizing Essence to their needs. The Na Shava operate outside of Eupherion and within other galaxies, and tend to partner up with other monastic orders throughout the Gigaquadrant. Unrestrained by any national regulation, the Na Shava adhere to a strict code of rules that dictate their direction and their limits, and they generally see themselves (with considerable justification) as the ultimate bringers of peace and the defenders of Eupherion.

Reputation

Eupherion's reputation, compared to other galaxies in the Gigaquadrant, varies little across public opinion across the Gigaquadrant. Eupherion is universally seen as a "chaotic" galaxy generally ruled by lawlessness, though it's known that Eupherion is rife with Essence anomalies and Essence radiation, and thus it remains as an enigma and a place of study for beings looking for a place within the Essence-user communities and positions. Due to their rather comparable aggressiveness and morally-grey behaviors, native civilizations in Eupherion are regarded in a negative light, though they are known to be rather excellent trade partners.
