DraconidImperiumMap02a

If asked where the Draconid Imperium can be found, it would be easier to say where it can't.

- Unknown

While its borders are expanding all the time, it is estimated that the Draconid Imperium consists of over four million inhabited star systems that are spread across the First Gigaquadrant and potentially many more that are claimed as resource sites or areas of study. Most of these populated systems are part of vassal states the Imperial governemnt calls provinces. Imperial bureaucracy divides the territory into colonisation waves dictated by the number of wormholes required to each Alcanti. Which are then divided into sectors, subsectors and clusters.

Planetary Infrastructure[]

Planets are developed to be self-sustaining at the very least, in the event of supply-line disruption or isolation the planets would not rapidly descend into chaos. Once they reach this point they are fully integrated into the imperial transit network. Developers work to ensure they use clean and sustainable techniques so they do not disrupt the biosphere and frequently plan ahead when considering expansion.

Tachyon relays are built in the early phases of colonisation to become connected to the Exonet and the power grid. Public transport frequently comes in the form of MagLev trains powered by zero-point energy siphons via wireless energy transmission though the rails.

Sectors[]

At the highest level are sectors. These are large clusters of both colonies and provinces and governed by a patricus or praetor who coordinates all activity from a sector capital. Outside of the core worlds a sector capital is normally in the centre of the sector and is one of the most heavily defended systems other than gateway colonies (Stars between 0.5-1.7 parsecs from a black hole, these surround a black hole and control travel through the wormholes). It is typical for the most powerful of houses to have control of a single sector - in some cases mroe than one - and will assign one member as praetor.

Axah[]

These are the core worlds and considered the jewel of the Imperium. Planets within the sector frequently support many billions and contain infrastructure the Draconis have spent thousands of years refining and improving. As a result these worlds are frequently the most advanced in imperial space. Unlike other colonisation waves Axah, which is only one sector, is governed unquestionably by House Ultanos. Rather than out of political influence this is because of a mandate passed that the Axah sector would be under governance of the ruling Paragon family. Uriel himself however, is not considered the Praetor - that honour went to his brother Vedenus.

Originally the sector was the greatest extent of the Imperium before the advent of the Senvinus Reactors, several systems have planetary rings and Dyson Swarms and each world is an industrial and commercial powerhouse. For systems with planetary rings much industry has been moved into orbit for easier connection to the rest of the Imperium. Inhabitants of this sector live on clean ecologically friendly worlds that have been terraformed in the early ages of the Imperium and development has been such that overcrowding is little problem due to vertical farms and easy access to a stellar power grid.

Alcanti
  • Designation: Species homeworld (Draconis)
  • Stellar Position: Second
  • Day Length: 28 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 360 Local days
  • Population: 21bln
AlcantiWoodland
Alcanti is considered by the Imperium to be one of the most important planets in the galaxy. Not only is it the homeworld and headquarters of the Imperium's reigning species but it is the centre of Imperial culture and commerce along with having the headquarters of every major department in the Imperial administration as well as being the host planet of the Seat Of Light; the governing body of the Andromedan Galactic Commonwealth. As a result it is also one of the most heavily defended planets in known space with the Imperium taking every measure it can to ensure it's survival. This has not stopped it from being the focus of attacks and the planet has been devestated at least three times since the Imperium's foundation. Despite the heavy importance and demand for living space on the surface, the planet remains relatively pristine with wide open plains and lush jungles rubbing shoulders with clean, advanced, high-capacity cities.

Near to the planet's northern pole is a large valley known as the Minos'Drakon basin, home to the city of the same name. Minos'Drakon is the official capital city of the Imperium and serves as the hub of imperial politics and is the home of the paragon family. Even during peacetime the planet is heavily guarded by numerous fleets, a planetary shield, orbital defence systems and legions of marines, Blood Dragons and auxillary units.

Gritharni01
  • Designation: Terrertrial colony
  • Stellar Position: Second
  • Day length: 45 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 45 local days
  • Population: 9bln

One of the first extrasolar colonies the Draconis had established, Elimataia prime holds a special place in the imperial population and a memorial exists within the planetary capital. The cool conditions make it a haven for citizens to take a holiday to and it is a popular destination for both nobility and the general population. The planet serves as a headquarters of the company Heethree, one of the market dominators of helium-3 wtihin the sector and the evidence for their presence is everywhere both on the planet and within the surrounding Elimataia system.

PlanEullivus
  • Designation: Gateway world
  • Stellar Position: Second
  • Day length: 31 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 967 local days
  • Population: 5bln

Orbiting the energetic blue giants Icarka and Persillus, this planet - often shortened to Icarka Prime - is one of the first of the 'gateway systems' designed to monitor traffic and security through the wormhole network. The planet itself is a superearth with thick humid forests nearer to sea level surrounded by imposing cliffs and high plateaus more inland. Because of the intense heat and thick atmosphere much of the population lives on these cooler plateaus or in orbit and the planet is a popular training ground, breeding hardy and strong recruits.

AraveeneOrbit
  • Designation: Commercial hub
  • Stellar Position: Eighth (moon)
  • Day length: 31 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 110 local days
  • Population: 1.2 trillion
Araveene V3
The largest of twenty-seven moons orbiting the gas giant Corovai V, Araveene started as a hub of expansion late into the Era of the Prime Paragons. Since then it has become one of the Imperium's core worlds and a crucial trading hub for the Axah sector. Since the initial colony the city (now informally called Araveene city) has expanded to cover most of the moon's central and only continent, covering roughly 60% of the moon's surface. Several large corporations have considerable presence on Araveene and due to commercial succes it is hypothetically possible to get anything in the markets. Due to being at the heart of the core worlds piracy is a rarity due to the diligant and heavy presence of the Imperial Talon Navy. While originally a poorly-habitable body, terraforming projects have given way to resort oppertunities along the coasts and accomodation withhin Araveene City with a coastal view is at a premium. Unlike other stellar bodies colonised by the draconis, Araveene is very cosmopolitan although it still has a draconid planetary governor.

Alpenixa Orbit
  • Designation: Species homeworld (Terratrix)
  • Stellar Position: Fourth
  • Day Length: 21 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 400 Local days
  • Population: 5bln
AlpenixaSurface
Blanketed with large green trees, Alpenixa is the homeworld of the avian Terratrice; an avian species renowened for their scientific ability. Alpenixa's forests are cool and green all year round and the immense floral biodiversity creates a high-oxygen atmosphere making most species who visit feel energetic. The planet has a surface gravity of 0.7g, which allows the native trees to grow to astonishing heights. Native fauna also take advantage of this low gravity and are commonly lithe in appearence.

Nearer the equator these forests give way to thick jungle where numerous field research laboratories exist within the undergrowth or underground. Terradixian cities are built within these forests with many older structures built around the most ancient trees. More modern buildings are organic-looking designs built using glass or wood finishing on the exterior, keeping them cool in the bright summers and giving the feel that the trees that line the streets are part of of the buildings. In more rural areas, cabins of whitewashed stone and packed earth can be found in the undergrowth. Alpenixa offers stunning archeological opprtunities as there are numerous ancient structures built into cliffsides around numerous valleys and lakes that dot the planet, presumably inhabited by ancient Terratrice.

  • Designation: Species homeworld (Kroogvont)
    Valle Orbit
  • Stellar Position: Fourth
  • Day Length: 38 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 370 Local days
  • Population: 8bln
Valle Surface 2
Valle is the murky homeworld of the Kroogvont, a race of humannoid amphibians who are highly respected by the Imperium for their skills in engineering and heavy industry. It is also the headquarters of Valle Astroengineering, one of the largest shipbuilding companies in the Imperium with shipyards both rented and owned in 200 systems across the Axah sector. Valle itself is damp and rain-soaked with high-oxygen thunderstorms that can obscure significant areas of the planet. Natives take advantage of the storms to draw electricity from wind and lightning. Much of the planet's surface consists of archipeligos in an enormous sea. Whiel there are large continents, most are dry and barren, with life sticking mainly to the thousands of islands that pepper the oceon. While the planet itself is not entirely pleasant, the Kroogvont as a whole have been made extremely wealthy by the successes of Valle Astroengineering. The Imperium makes a firm point to keep Valle under imperial control and large numbers of warships patrol the system, keeping alert for pirates, saboteurs and smugglers who might take advantage of the planet's immense wealth and industrial sway.

Ohlon[]

The four inner sectors are very similar to the Axah sector since this was the first wormhole-connected region. The Ohlon-1 sector is still in shock from the mecha-wasp war and several planets, once holding billions, are now dead rocks (in some cases less than that as the Wasps' nanite swarms devouered parts of the planets themselves). Elsewhere there is much less damage, the Sons of Urzgov have only a minor presence within these sectors. Other sectors are more peaceful. Like in Axah planetary populations can reach several billion and worlds undamaged by the mecha-Wasp war remain economic powerhouses. The Imperial Talon Navy keeps several shipyards in this sector to protect the core worlds from attack.

Alvadia IV[]

  • Designation: Dead
  • Stellar Position: Fourth
  • Day Length: 45 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 450 Local days
  • Population: 0 (Formerly 3.3 billion)

Glassed during the events of the Holy Shadow War, Alvadia IV was an agrarian colony noteable as the site of the Alvadia Naval Academy - a prestigious academic institute famous throughout the sector with a list of illumni several miles long. Alvadia IV was known for its lush fields of amber grass, warm summers and mild winters.

The system was settled roughly two centuries after the opening of the Ohlon-3 wormhole in ID.172810 and after extensive terraforming became prized for exports of cereal crops and exotic wines. Alvadian Wine was a brew created by mixing a bioengineered fruit accustomed to Alvadi IV with other ingrediants and became a prized commodity within the imperium. Promises of a bumper harvest assured the position of governance of the system by Grand House Torfius who exported the recipie to other planets, flooding the markets with Alvadian Wine. Despite the popularity, it was said that none of the offworld variants could compare to the original brew.

While it was never as prosperous as Alvadia Prime, the population were quiet and affluent folk who enjoyed the warm summers. When the undead infestation reached the planet in ID.219491 Admiral Dolervim Vanacarvum, a native to the planet, was called to contain the threat. As the infestation expanded across the planet he ordered for as many evacuees as possible before the plague reached a critical state within days. With no choice left, the admiral ordered for a thorough glassing of the planet's surface. Out of 3.3 billion inhabitants, only 35,000 had escaped the chaos and House Torfius's numbers were devastated.

When it was reported that Dolervim's remains had been recovered at the Battle of Cathamera, his remains were gathered and buried on the planet's surface near to his former family home.

Argena V[]

  • Designation: Dead
  • Stellar Position: Fifth
  • Day Length: 20 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 521 Local days
  • Population: 3000 (Formerly 5 billion)

Terraformed from a frozen rock in ID.184730, Argena V represented a sign of progress for the Imperium. Originally terraforming had consisted of enclosed ecosystems in regions of thawed ice, increased greenhouse gas levels increased the size of these habitats to eventually cover almsot the entire surface within 200 years. The prospect of a planet of this state attracted migrants from across the expanding Imperium and managed to draw populations whos' families had settled on more distant worlds centuries before colonisation.

At its height the planet housed some five billion inhabitants who lived in megacities streched around the equatoral regions. Around these cities were rich farmalnd. The equatoral region eventualyl became known as the "band of steel and bread" as lush harvests fed the rapidly-growing population. This boom was unfortunately extinguished duing the Holy Shadow War where an undead infestation spread throughout the megacities of the planet. The infestation prompted a swift response by the Imperial Talon Navy's 220th fleed who glassed the planet, beginning with the equatoral regions.

In reflection of the planet's prior success, the ALcanti Royal Academy began a project to revive the dead planet along with many other former worlds, with Argena V being the flagship restoration project with the newly-constructed Neo-Argenis 1; a skystation acting as a floating megacity acting as the Argena project's headquarters.

Balas[]

The Balas wave is made up of 10 sectors, often referred to as the mid-rim. Colonies here flourish and frequently support a few billion. These sectors have been relatively peaceful, only a few sector capitals have an artificial ring. Populations are fairly well-off and established with several systems maintaining noteable affluence.

Historically the Balas sectors have been peaceful however the Sons have had an elevated presence at certain points in history. The TIAF managed to cause noticeable damage to several worlds in the Balas-9 sector before being pushed back.

Vencortium Prime[]

DrakVencortiumPrime01
  • Designation: Sector capital
  • Stellar Position: Third
  • Day Length: 35 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 413 Local days
  • Population: 7bln
VencortiumPrimeView
Colonised in ID.184799, while Vencortium sits in a strategic location in the Balas-7-Vencortium subsector within proximity to the Ohlon-1 and Tholfame-7 gates, the system has however had minor influence. When the planet was established it served as a showcase to local empires who marveled at it's contruction. Terraformed to suit the Draconis from a dead world the Imperium went as far as to construct a moon within it's orbit in ID.185723. 200 years after it's establishment the local government discovered the remains of cities dating to the times of the Four, sparking a revolutionary archaeological 'goldrush'. Vencortium became a popular tourist destination for people to see these ruins and were thus restricted after several months of crowds. During the Andromeda War the planet was visited by Guolivian to mend relations between the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus and the Draconid Imperium.

Cencortium is largely temperate with wide tracts of dedicious forest, calm seas and a large agrarian population. Many of the mountain ranges that make up a spine of the southern hemisphere (such as the Calciran Range thirty kilometres to the north of Savenius, the planetary capital) are popular vista sites. For the past two millenia Vencortium and the surrounding sector has been the ownsership of House Savenium.

Avanti[]

PlanetAvanti
  • Designation: Frontier world
  • Stellar Position: Third
  • Day length: 22 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 375 local days
  • Population: 13mln

Avanti was originally settled by the TIAF and used as a forward base for their operations in the Andromeda Galaxy. After a month of occupation the Andromeda Coalition managed to drive the TIAF from the system, leaving the Imperium to claim thep lanet for themselves.

A dry world, Avanti's most noticeable post-invasion feature is the northern mountain range (or absence thereof) which was destoryed with a hypermatter particle beam from the ITN warship Dominax as a shock-and-awe tactic against the TIAF. The resulting shickwave had devastated much of the northern hemisphere with efects being felt planetwide. Creating the northern wastelands. The southern hemisphere is more pristine despite suffering from shockwave damage.

Dexia Prime[]

  • Designation: Commercial hub
  • Stellar Position: Third
  • Day length: 31 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 210 local days
  • Population: 2.5bln

Colonised in ID.213130, Dexia Prime was one of the few naturally habitable planets in the sector and required little teraforming. It evolved into a thriving commercial centre. When the Tybusen Intergalactic Allied Federation invaded duing the Andromeda War, Dexia prime was one of the planets targeted in their campaign although faring better than Vanexia. The Imperial fleets had put up a valiant but devastating fight, eventually surrendering. Marines of the ITN's 912th legion remained and undermined the temporary federation government, who abandoned te planet after a Zazane Kaann-class warship devastated the shipyards. The IMperium moved in to restore order shortly after and had been working to restore infrastructure.

Dexia is a panagea-like supercontinent. Through climate-control technology the Imperium has brought life to the deserts that once dominated the inland regions. The northern regions were somewhat milder due to lakes fed by undergroudn channels, the origin of which has spawned numerous legends, theories and stories but nothing credible. To the west were high mountains rich with ores and minerals tha spurred the planet's wealth. In the five milennia since the Imperium's arrival expansive forests have grown within moutnainous basins that pepper the landscape.

Vanexia Prime[]

  • Designation: Frontier world
  • Stellar Position: Third
  • Day length: 29 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 310 local days
  • Population: 12.75mln

Colonised in ID.213410, Vanexia Prime was a frontier world of the Imperium. WHen the Tybusen Intergalactic Allied Federation invaded duing the Andromeda War, the Vanexia system was one of the first ot be hit. The planet suffered terrible depopulation as much of the population fled to imperial space, leaving anyone to stubbourn or too optimistic behind. After a two-week occupation period the remaining population overwhelmed the occupiers who abandoned the planet in a scorched-earth maneuvere. Since the Imperium returned ot the planet repopulation has been difficult, the once-majestic city of Vanexia Prime is now abandoned with stories of ghosts.

The planet itself is another of the Imperium's terraformed oases. Rolling hills of brown grass and equatoral jungles are marred by the recent scars caused by the invasion. What are now craters and wastelands were originally fledgeling industrial complexes and the remains of TIAF infrastructure still persist.

Tholfame[]

The outer colonies. Out of 24 sectors Tholfame-18 has recently risen to prominence as the most significance. Nicknamed the twilight gate after it's connection to Mathist sectors in Segmenentum Crepusculum the region has been relatively peaceful despite the ongoing Andromeda War, some planets have reported minor depopulations as citizens nervously move to safer regions. Due to Imperial explansion 6 out of 24 regions exist outside of Andrmeda.

  • Tholfame-19 exists in the Kraw galaxy
  • Tholfame sectors 20, 21 and 22 exist in the Milky Way
  • Tholfame sectors 23 and 24 exist in the Bunsen Galaxy

Historically the northern sectors have always been the most prosperous as goods from the core and inner worlds were sent to balance a saturating economy 7,000 years ago. Citizens live comfortably and planets closest to the Balas wormholes are more affluenct than those closer to the Mathist wormholes.

Laralus Prime[]

  • Designation: Dead (Sector capital)
    Laralus Prime Orbit
  • Stellar Position: Second
  • Day Length: 25 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 385 Local days
  • Population: 0 (Formerly 910 million)
Laralus Prime Surface
The Laralus System represented a point of pride for the Imperium as the first-in colony. Situated seven light-years from the (now closed)wormhole to Andromeda the local government had spent no time fortifying the planet in case the local powers of the Kraw Galaxy were hostile. While originally this was seen as a case of paranoia the joke was reversed during the Imperium's Kraw Galaxy Campaign when all Tholfame-19 colonies were threatened with exile under penalty of extermintion.

At its peak Laralus Prime is a rare jewel - a fully-habitable oasis in the depths of space only a few light-years from a useable connection to Andromeda. Many features such as the iron-red grass, wide open plains and rich waters remind many citizens of Alcanti. The government had developed the planet into a shining example of what the Imeprium is socially and technologically capable of. The planet also serves as the home of the Imperium's Kraw Galaxy viceroy and the headquarters of the Imperium's forces within the galaxy. Despite the colony being only a few years old, development had been extremely progressive from the maglev system to the framework orbital ring that would have servd as the primary shipyards for the Imperium.

This was not the case, as the invasion of the New Iteok GLory reached a poiling point, Laralsu Prime was one of the first planets to be completely stripped of life, sophisitcation and mineral worth, the momuments bult on the planet were dismantled and all resouces taken ro Andromeda, leaving the planet completely lifeless.

Eskaem[]

  • Designation: Dead
  • Stellar Position: Fourth
  • Day Length: 43 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 400 Local days
  • Population: 0 (formerly 12 thousand)

One of the Imeprium's former planets bordering the Kraw Empire, as a reminder both the parentand Komraes systems were stripped of all worth and the population was transferred to Andromeda to establish the "New Komraesi" protectorate.

Before the exodus, Komraes was an arid planet orbiting a main sequence star on the borders of the Kraw Empire. Eskaem was aquired alongside Komraes through a diplomaatic treaty between the Imperium and the Kraw Empire. Through its brief history it had served as a thriving hub of industry which had some minor effect on the planet's environment. When the Imperium took over they quickly negotiated with planetary governors to set about reversing the damage industry had done to the planet. Patches of wilderness were re-emerging before the project was s crapped during the exodus.

Eskaem had served as a key manufacturing site. Through incentives there had been a small farming industry promoted with the intent to make the planet more self-sustaining. Despite these changes towards self-sustainability many Kraw had vacated the planet leaving only a handful of people behind. Entire cities were left abandoned from the exodus even after the Imperium had reconsidered the plans of the former government - the few thousand remaining colonists abandoned it months later.

Komraes[]

  • Designation: Dead
  • Stellar Position: Third
  • Day Length: 28.5 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 310 Local days
  • Population: 0 (formerly 235 million)

Aquired alongside Eskraem through a diplomaatic treaty between the Imperium and the Kraw Empire, Komraes was known for the large proportion of pro-Imperium inhabitants. The Draconis saw this as an oppertunity to show off the benefits of supporting their government along with developing it into a showcase. The Imperial Senate intended for this planet to become a local hub to expand to other nearby systems, further increasing not only Kraw presence in their own galaxy but also imperial influence.

Komraes was to be developed paradise world, a reward from the senate for the inahbitants' welcoming attitude towards them. Clear oceons, crisp alpine forests and hill-nestled towns make the planet a haven for numerous races and the planet's population is slowly growing from migrates from elsewhere in the Imperium.

The Imperium's exodus from the Kraw Galaxy left an odd mark, the relocation of over 200 million Kraw along with no chance of repurposing the system would no-doubt fuel Draconidophobia within the galaxy. The paradise world was reduced to a dead rock and the population were transferred to rebuild their lives in outlying territories in Andromeda.

Mathist[]

The frontier sectors. Due to their status only sector and subsector capitals retain a level of affluence with many worlds holding populations of, on average, several million. Planets are frequently agrarian in nature and a noteable part of the advanced technology of the Imperium is yet to be distributed on account of many of these colonies being so new. Cities are frequently mid-rise whitewash stone buildings with features of postmodern architecture. Despite these being frontier worlds the level of development still allows for a reasonable level of comfort.

it is these sectors that have unfortunately suffered the most during the Andromeda war, not only were they the frontlines of the Twilight front, but were also the target of the TIAF invasion of Andromeda.

Praetoria[]

  • Designation: Sector Capital
    Praetoria Orbit
  • Stellar Position: Second
  • Day Length: 38.72 Earth hours
  • Orbit period: 485 Local days
  • Population: 2.4bln
Praetoria Surface
Colonised after the initial settlement of the Praetoria system in ID.219498, Laralus II quickly overshoadowed its older counterpart as an agrarian colony that quickly became sector capital after Viceroy Vindevus Ultanos decided he liek the planet so much he made his home on the planet and subsequently moved his councils to the nearby city of Saramia. Itinial colonisation proved difficult due to the roving bands of Da Rogue Boyz Loron who played avok with the new sector's supply lines to Andromeda. In response the planet's defences wre bulked up considerably with orbital defences, planetary shields and surface-to-orbit weaponry rivalled by the Core Worlds.

The need to fortify the planet proved a valuable template and Praetoria quickly became known as "Alcanti of Borealis" for its reputation of boasting defences and infrastructure that wouldn't be seen within the other Borealis colonies for months. THis reputation meant that when most mention "praetoria" they refer ot the planet instead of the star. The planet, along with all the colonies of the Ottzello sector was breifly abandoned as a sector-scale metric shield surrounded the sector. Upo nthe shield's deactivation a few months later, Praetoria was resettled with infrastructure largely intact.

With its largely cool climate, Praetoria is a haven for multiple species while Draconis themselves prefer to settle the equatoral regions. A massive oceon divides the planet and creates several large rugged continents, snow is expected for around a third of the year in areas except on the equator where snowfall is almost impossible. Outside of planned and fortified cities are well-plowed farmlands tended to by robotic harvesters, Praetorian White is a common wine product exported from Praetoria to the rest of Borealis, noted for by its citrous flavour and sparkling colouration.

Clusters[]

The Imperium holds territory within many of the galaxies of the current gigaquadrant. The majority of the draconis colonies outside of Andromeda are less than a decade old, the age and establishment of the protectoate colonies reinforces their stake in these regions. Because one of the terms of Pax Draconica includes technology sharing these protectorates have the added benefit of advancing centuries through provided Imperial technology, reinforcing them at a rate that would take years for a Draconis colony.

Andromeda[]

  • Viceroy: None - centre of control
  • Star systems occupied: 2,149,720

Known as the heart of the Imperium. the Draconis rule their territory in the Andromeda Galaxy with little opposition and the colonies have weathered attack after attack from all manner of opponents. Colonies here are many thousands of years old and even in the mid-rim, most imperial planets are comparable in scale and maturity to the homeworlds of a tier-5 civillization. It is the seat of the imperial government along with being the main operating area of virtually all imperial departments and corporations.

Andromeda is also home to the three most powerful species in the imperium - the Draconis themselves, the Rapidox, and the Drallivians. These three races hold the most noteable sway in Imperial affairs, even if the latter two are orders of magnitude in influence below the Draconis. This territory, due to being the oldest, is also one of the most heavily scarred; caused by countless conflicts in the imperium's long history. Although since the foundation of the Andromedan Galactic Commonwealth the Imperium has restored thousands of former colonies destroyed by war and plague, it is believed there are thousands of planets that still remain lifeless from orbital bombadment; particularly from the days of the Holy Shadow War.

Kraw Galaxy[]

  • Viceroy: None (formerly Dracia Ultanos)
  • Star systems occupied: 0 (formerly 234)

With the First colonies established in ID.219495, the Draconis developed their colonies here as a showcase to the Kraw Federation. In the brief period they were inhabited these frontier worlds were showing signs of sophistication with populations of several million in the oldest colonies. Since the beginning of the reign of Emperor Kies of the Kraw a shadow of concern had grown over these colonies from both news of the numerous alien invasions against Kraw Empire and the recent and explosive growth of influence from the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus.

Rather aggressive pressures from local empires eventually forced the Imperium to give up its holdings in this region. Not wanting to let the locals benefit the Imperium unleashed a horde of nanomachines to strip the region of any and all material wealth, leaving only barren wastelands, depleted gas giants and empty asteroids. The small handful of aliens who had turned a blind eye to the pressures and had joined the Imperium have also abandoned the Kraw Galaxy and the wormhole to Andromeda was taken as well; effectively erasing the Imeprium's presence from the Kraw Galaxy with very little incidation of returning.

Local governments moved in some time after the veil the Draconis had establish was lifted and currently debate as to who deserves ownership of what is left, unaware that the Imperium had established several hidden listening posts in interstellar space prior to leaving.

Bunsen[]

  • Viceroy: Kavessa Ultanos
  • Star systems occupied: 8,200

One of two regions (the other being in the Milky Way) aquired by the absorbtion of the Shellious Imperium. The connections of this region with the greater Imperium was hampered somewhat by the sudden declaration of war by the TIAF. The Imperium's colonies in the Bunsen Galaxy are currently surrounded by the Draconis-TIAF DMZ, a 30 light-year thick boundary requested by the Draconis to prevent the region's annexation by the TIAF.

The terms of the DMZ state the the TIAF would not invade so long as the Draconis are not to develop more than a provincial garrison within the region. For the past month since the aquisition these colonies have been heavily fortified for fear that the Federation may one day dishonour the agreement.

Milky Way[]

  • Viceroy: Torvos Ultanos
  • Star systems occupied: 1,277,000
    • 1000 under joint TIAF rulership

These colonies are some of the oldest extragalactic holdings within the Imperium, with a few dating as far back as ID.183720 - roughly 12 millennia since the linking of jumpagate zero in Andromeda - and are some of the most sophisticated colonies outside of Andromeda; with systems very heart of the territories rivalling in advancement the core worlds. The Imperial Talon navy has a clear prescence among these systems More recently some 300,000 protectorate colonies were aquiredfrom the absorbtion of the Shellious Imperium alongside 5000 colonies in Bunsen, the Imperium is primarily based within the Crab nebula and has established thousands of administration systems to maintain their hold in the Shellious protectorate. Relying mostly on the resources this sector provides the senate began a phenomenal recruiting program for colonists to move to the new systems. Due to the age and erputation of the region this is not too difficult.

The partnership with the Salsetthe Republic and the New Raysong Concodrdat with the TIAF has boosted the hopes of further expansion for the Imperium, even if they are wary of the former's highly secretive nature. The brief but recent return of the Grox has made some senators worried that some of the oldest holdings outside of Andromeda are under threat.

Borealis[]

  • Viceroy: Tarosa Soravius
  • Star systems occupied: 32,480

The Borealis teritories were established in the galaxy's Ottzello and Zolei sectors during the Second Borealis Galactic War, the Borealis Authority's earliest direction was on security and defense in a lawless galaxy. Borealis had become one of the most problematic zones due to the the numerous pirates as raiders and criminals ran amok in the galaxy and until the Second Borealis Galactic War's end the various central colonies in the galaxy were each bastions of safety in an otherwise-chaotic locale and home comforts poured in from Andromeda to bolster the population's morale. Even after the war, the heavy defences these colonies possessed remained out of a sense of caution. As the Polar Crystal Alliance established itself however, Borealis has become one of the most popular sectors for enterprising frontiersmen and entrepreneurs, leading to the Praetorian Subsector becoming considered an honorary member of the Crown Worlds in recognition for its prosperity.

Several colonies serve as research stations in order to ascertain the nature of both the gyronic planets in the region and why the galaxy's planets are cold compared to anywhere else. As the Talan Aetheral Body worked with the Zoles Imperium and Niaka Special Forces, the Imperium's region of space slowly became more orderly, with the resources used to fortify the region later offered to neighboring territories as an expansion to trade. After the war the Imperium remained open to negotiating Pax Draconica with Borealis nations, respecting the Polar Crystal Alliance's authority via agreements of dual consent between the Alliance Council and recipient and shared protection alongside the Alliance.

During the Second Borealis Galactic War the Imperium had to relocate its colonies to the Zolei sector due to a metric shield that had existed around the Ottzello sector. Due to the temporary decline of the Zoles Imperium during this time and the rise in chaos brought about by the War Economy, the Imperium had recieved an influx of new protectorates who desperately requested safety from the rising threat of PMCs and raiders targeting them. After contact to the Ottzello sector was restored, engineers worked diligently to bring the newly-established colonies, reclaimed former territories and the newly-acquired provinces and protectorates to a satisfactory defensive standard as the situation within the galaxy continued to deteriorate during this period. The resulting work had meant that the Borealis colonies quickly rose into beacons of fortified sophistication.

After the assassination of Vindevus Ultanos, the Grand Senate was rife with concern for the effectiveness of the Polar Crystal Alliance. After a month of discussion, a decision that the Imperium would retreat from Borealis was almost passed were it not for the Premier Sednosk of the Nation of Golovan, who fiercely lobbied alongside several Borealis-native representatives to reconsider. The Provincial Council and later the Grand Senate's highest authorities conceded, redacting the bill for evacuation. In the days of the Great Xonexian Schism, the Borealis territories thrived from the safety from DCP attack guaranteed by the Treaty of Galactica and became a cherished haven for trade with foreign powers during the rising conflicts in the Xonexi CLuster.

Quadrant 82[]

Established around the mouth of a wormhole some one thousand years ago, the Imperium's Quadrant Galaxy colonies are a primary access point for trade routes that traverse to the Xonexi Cluster and are a primary port of call for traders that sought to do business with the former Rambo Nation. Before its collapse, this gave the Imperium a significant strategic position as well as control over trade between the Quadrants and Xonexi. The Quadrantian colonies are a thriving colonial cluster with a strong history in the sector, as many universities that cater to Quadrntian scholars and students can be found on the border-worlds of the colonies while logistics stations of Imperial make are scattered along major shipping routes across the four galaxies. The strategic importance of the wormhole has historically warranted a large defensive force of the Aetheral Talon Body within the territory due to the territory's proximity to distrustful nations such as the Regellis Star Empire and the direct connection to the Andromedan heart. This sees a significant military and defensive presence among the colonies with a higher-than average presence of factories dedicated to starship parts, small arms and vehicle parts found within the core regions.

The collapse of Rambo Nation and its absorption into the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus saw a retreat of influence however. Without Rambo Nation the Draconid-Quadrants Act was nullified, necessitating a full withdrawal of manpower. Many of the stations the Imperium maintained on major trade routes were dismantled. Aside from a few smaller powers on the border regions of the Gorge, business within Rambo space has declined. Once an area of exemption, goods produced and exported from Rambo space have now fallen under the Orbispiran Embargo, which prohibits the purchase of anything made or bought within the Galactic Empire.

Due to the nature of the space surrounding the galaxies, the GITO wormhole located near Galactica exits near the mouth of of the Andromeda-bound wormhole minimising the communication lag between the central hub in Araveene and the Quadrantian markets. The territories serve a dual function as a military and economic hub. Even if war has not taken place, the security detail has risen as the Jennissarian Regency's colonisation of Quadrant space threatened the primary route of the French Quadrantia Trade Run. Not trusting the Jenissarians with this arterial hyperlane in their territory, the line was caved in shortly after their colonisation while a heavy security presence can be seen along the new route between the shared borders of the New Cyrannian Republic and the Jenissarian Regency in Quadrant 82.

Cyrannus[]

  • Viceroy: Saros Savenium
  • Star systems: 500

Previously established with consent from powers within the outbreak of the Great Cyrannus War, the Imperium had secured 65 systems within the galaxy's mid-rim for less than a year. Although small compared to other extragalactic territories with little sign of further expansion, the Imeprium welcomed this new expansion. After a brief period of exile, the Imperium returned and established contact with the Oligarchy of Praetinna - a breakaway group of Draconis who submitted to the Empire. The presence of this empire allowed the Draconis to communicate to both sides of the Cyrannian Empire's borders. The agreement of free travel between the Imeprium and the Oligarchy had provided the Imperium with an improved level of access into the Empire as well as a vital trade link. Growing terms with the Cyrannian Empire was rewarded in 2799 with permission to expand out to an extra 500 star systems, which prompted the birth of the second colonisation wave. The influx of settlers led to an idea proposed by hotel magnate Kyras Surinos who proposed the establishment of holographic mock-up of the Andromedan core worlds, with the first - a duplicate of Elimataia Prime's beaches - being commissioned in orbit around the main-sequence star Aras. With its initial success, dozens more were commissioned.

In a similar vein to the Joint Delpha Project with the TIAF, Sundarra - the capital of the Imperial colonies in the galaxy - is currently emerging as a joint cultural project between the Imperium and the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus. The original aim of the colony was to create a symbol of the growing friendship between the two powers with the capital sitting on one of the galaxy's premier trade runs. In modern times, SUndara primarily represents the heart of Draconid influence in the Cyrannus Galaxy. The Imperium's Cyrannian colonies enjoyed an economic boom with visitors and goods from the inner rim and core regions, which ended near the end of the 28th century AD with the passing of an official embargo on goods imported from the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus being passed by the Commercial Council.

Mirus[]

  • Viceroy: Arala Amanosos Voxis
  • Star systems: 870,870

Initially aquired from victories during the campaign to overthrow the Drakodominatus Tyranny in Mirus, expanded greatly during the Scramble for Mirus the Imeprium shares the former Oblivion and Terminus sectors with the other Xonexi Allies while also holding a handful of systems in the Kratos subsector of the Dominatem sector. Originally wishing to utilise the vast industrial facilities within Tyranny space, viceroy Arala has motivated for large-scale geoengineering and colonisation efforts in a hope to erase the mark the Tyranny left behind on the galaxy. The remote distance from Andromeda and the still-memorable scars of the war has made re-population of these territories difficult. Due to the proximity of the Delpha Coalition of Planets and Mendel Pact on these territories as well as the immense factories the Imperium does have access to, the Mirus territories are categorised by the considerable use of battle droids and AI for the security and restoration of the arm. After the establishment of the territory's government in 2796, more convenient economic infrastructure for trade lanes were established between the Imperium and the United Lanat Empire that temporarily connected the remote galaxy's dominant power to the Imperium's vast economy and trade connections until the Empire's annexation by the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus, with a near-unanimous decision by the Grand Senate to extend the 2799 Orbispiran trade embargo to the now-occupied United Lanat Empire.

During the Second War of Mirusian Coalition the territories were occupied by the Sovereign Mirusian Coalition before being retaken and held as a protectorate by the French Colonial Empire. After the war, the Imperium established the Pan Mirus Gate - a Senvinus Reactor and wormhole connecting to Eastern Mirus where the Imperium has opened up the region to colonisation and exploration by various companies and in particular the Mirusian natives. With an agreement in a meeting of senators to give native Mirusian nations freedom of movement though the wormhole. Which after the first few years began to export new minerals into the GITO trade network.
