Crestiel Yi is a Libertus Inquisitor for the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus. Despite originally being from a back water world known for its insular tendencies, possessing a small stature, and being a rather polite person is still a dangerous and effective Inquisitor. Few actually know about Crestiel due to her unassuming nature that causes most to overlook her and the fact that she leaves few alive. Crestiel has long been plagued by the ruthless actions she must take as an Inquisitor and while she would rather prefer not to believes that she must for the greater good. Recent events though such as the destruction of Mou'Cyran has left her with even more serious doubt and inner turmoil then ever before.
History[]
Early Life and Career[]
Crestiel grew up on a backwater planet at the edges of Imperial space known for its insular ways and rather unique culture. At a very young age Crestiel aspired to be a great hero and joined her planet's law enforcement at a very young age. However, she quickly found her world's law enforcement to be corrupt (as in part of nascent rebellion wishing to join the new Cyrannian Republic). Crestiel worked tirelessly against this corrupt system, even going outside her boundaries to bring the corrupted officers down. Eventually Crestiel did bring the rebels on her planet down and took charge of the law enforcement there. She then turned information about this nascent rebellion over to Imperial Intelligence which then sent the navy to crush the rebels before they could even get off the ground.
While reprimanded for breaking Imperial Laws, Crestiel was rewarded for her service to the Empire. Secretly she was contacted by the Inquisition who asked her to join them. Wishing to help the Empire more she accepted. While Crestiel tried to hold on to her values and morals at first she quickly her having compromise them more and more during her missions. Eventually they seemed to hardly matter to her at all. However, this caused Crestiel much internal conflict and stress that continued to escalated throughout her years of service.
Then the destruction of Mou'Cyran happened.

Crestiel is a thin, short Libertus with black scales and silver eyes. she notably never dons the imposing black armor of other Inquisitors, instead preferring to dress in covering civilian clothing with concealable armor hidden underneath so as to stay unnoticed and agile as possible. Crestiel also has several swirling tattoos all across her skin.
Personality[]
Crestiel is a notable deviation from the traditional Inquisitor stereotype. Instead of a condescending person Crestiel is notably very polite and friendly even to her enemies. She refuses to underestimate her foes and always keeps a cool head, constantly analyzing her foes with for any weakness she can take advantage of. Despite her polite and friendly demeanor Crestiel is still a ruthless Inquisitor who brutal slaughters her targets in the most effective way possible, never talking while fighting and always going straight for the kill.
While the model of effective Inquisitor Crestiel is deeply torn up by the ruthless and brutal actions she must take as an Inquisitor. She usually deals with this inner turmoil by telling herself that what she does is all for the greater good and the Emperor knows what's best for all. In spite of the fact that she seems to believe what she tells herself it helps her mental stability not one bit and frequently leaves her feeling deeply depressed and hopeless. Crestiel frequently suffers from nightmares about what she has done and has been known to stress sick after particularly nasty missions, though she has hid this from all who know her.
Crestiel is actually very socially awkward as her job gives her very little time to interact with others in a way that doesn't involve death. She can become easily embarrassed and will often times freak out when she becomes so. Deep down Crestiel would dearly like to make friends, but has no idea how to interact and socialize properly with others.
Abilities[]
Crestiel is a deadly force in combat who is frequently underestimated by her foes due to her small stature and unassuming nature. When fighting Crestiel is a hard hitting and agile fighter who effortlessly wields her great war hammer (a weapon someone of her size should not be wielding) while jumping and dodging about. Still she prefers not to face her foes on even terms and frequently uses poison to weaken or kill her foes instead of taking them on directly. Crestiel is skilled at stealth and tries to complete her missions quickly and quietly as possible. Where and how she keeps that great war hammer of her's hidden though is anyone's guess.
Along with her skills in combat Crestiel is a talented cook and enjoys cooking meals for herself when not on missions.
