-The '''Corvarin Animus''', known by other names such as the '''Void Manifold''' and the '''Machine Eradicators''', is a massive collective of artificial constructs, programmed with the mission to destroy all organic life. The Animus is an extremely hostile entity directly responsible for billions, if not trillions, of deaths through their systematic invasions of others and subsequent genocides of the native populace. The Animus’ origins lie in the [[Fiction:Manitja Illuminated Singularity|Manitja]] constructs present in Aoshtai during the prehistory of the galaxy. The Manitja acted as armed guards against the [[Creature:Xi-Ur|Xi-Ur]] that warred the [[Creature:Psal'Jinnai|Psal’Jinnai]] during that particular period. Unfortunately, the Xi-Ur utterly destroyed the Manitja with little effort, and reprogrammed them with their own AI - Xûruk - that led the now-called Corvarin Animus to attempt to extinguish life in the Gigaquadrant. Unlike the Manitja, Corvarin constructs are entirely independant due to an extremely weathered and damaged Core - which fails to bind the Corvarin into one entity. Because of this, some Corvarin can be found in service to others - [[Fiction:Vahruq Black Syndicate|Vharuq]], for example, enticed a Corvarin to act as his personal enforcer. The Corvarin are universally hated for their methods - executing killing billions in a brutally efficient manner and using both dead and living organics as fuel - though very few are willing to provoke the Animus because of the potential casualties that will ensue. The Animus is also known for its technology - despite much examples of Animus technology being destroyed over a several thousand year period, the remaining Animus technology that exists is known to be extremely advanced, and eclipses most, if not all, known civilizations in Aoshtai, although they lack the teleportation and sheer destructive power of the Manitja.
