Borysthenis (also known as Messier 81, NGC 3031 or Bode's Galaxy) is a spiral galaxy with a diameter of 90,000 light years, about half the size of the Milky Way. Due to it's specially active nature, which hosts phenomenoms rarely seen in other parts of the Gigaquadrant, it is often studied and explored extensively by scientists and astronomers, being home to millions of life-rich planets.

Some of the rare types of stars it includes are, for example, neutron supergiants and the mysterious dark energy stars.
