Blitz, the Storm Striker,, is a Plasma Genetic Hero from Cryos. He and his siblings were the first Plasma Genetic Heroes to be created, but after the Darkspore invaded, he was left the sole surviving member of his clan. He is now one of the leading members of the Crogenitor Insurgency.
History[]
Blitz was originally a Plains Lizard, a feral reptile living in Cryos's frozen wastes with his eleven siblings. Crogenitor Ptyron, simultaneously researching a new genesis type and what was left of Cryos's megafauna, discovered these reptiles and captured them. Blitz and his siblings were experimented upon, and eventually, Ptyron successfully created the first twelve Plasma Genetic Heroes. These were sworn into his allegiance, and trained to hone their powers under his tutelage in the hope that they could aid the people of Cryos in the midst of climate change.
The invasion of the Darkspore prompted Ptyron to redirect the efforts of his pupils toward the oncoming threat. Blitz and his siblings confronted the parasite, but they overestimated their advantage and, as a result, only Blitz survived the battle. Scarred, grieving, and blaming himself, Blitz worked to train the other Plasma Genetic heroes as they were recruited, and became one of the leaders of the Insurgency.
Biology[]
Blitz adopts a theropod-like posture, with digitigrade legs and a stiff tail for balance. His armored head bears a horny beak instead of teeth, and sports a pair of large eyes. His arms are disproportionately long, and he has opposable thumbs. A series of ridges runs along his back to the end of his tail.
Personality[]
Blitz is cold and controlling, and is often criticized for being overly cautious. He is fiercely protective of his peers, even those he personally dislikes. When pressed for too long in a disagreement, he has a tendency to become suddenly enraged, which often has the power to end an argument by sheer intimidation alone. His behavior stems not from innate meanness or hatred, but emotional trauma and guilt.
Relationships[]
Most other Genetic Heroes are unwilling to approach Blitz, as he is intimidating and harsh. However, Goliath and Seraph's sensitivity toward him have earned them his trust and friendship. He also shares a strong empathy with Lumin, who has had a similar traumatic experience and is also recovering.
Blitz frequently comes into conflict with Orion and Revenant, who urge for bolder strategies in battle while Blitz opts for caution.
Powers and Abilities[]
Blitz is capable of rapid movement and powerful electrical discharges, which he utilizes to quickly move through swaths of enemies and electrocute and/or maim them. For defensive maneuvers, he reserves his "plasma wreath," a ring of ball lightning which explodes on enemies who come too near.
