Balor'kun's arrogance and pride puts him at odds with almost every Abyssal Lord with few exceptions. While his cultists are often the rejected, who plot to supplant the current order, his are more focused on putting themselves on top, over gaining freedom offered by Shayone. Likewise, tyrannies mean little to him, unless they are under his control, and as such, he feels little empathy or liking for Fahriina. His stealing of her knowledge of Dark Magic further makes them at odds more often then not. He also looks down upon Maghralakan and his base instincts and violence, seeing him as less a God or Abyss Lord and more an animal. He also despises Coyolith, seeing her removal of individuality a direct threat to his, as his worshippers are driven by their pride, ambition and greater emotions, and their individual accomplishments.

The Eye watches all. The Eye Sees all, past, present and future. The Eye is all!

- Chant of the Worshippers of Balor'kun

The God Balor'kun is a powerful God and Abyssal Lord, a figure that represents sin, negative thought and action among the Gods of Narazen. Balor'kun has power over the ideals deceit, dark and untamed magic and knowledge, and the mutation and change. Balor'kun does not simply corrupt and force hierarchy like his sibling Fahriina, or create bloodlust and anarchy like Maghralakan, but creates complex plans, goals and even entire races, all to serve his nefarious goals upon both the Mortal Realm and beyond it. Balor'kun's realm within the tides of the Empty Gulf is a massive maze that stretches over his entire realm, constantly adding more and more complexity to itself as he cackles to himself upon his throne, adding further and further complexity to everything he touches and works upon. Balor'kun's servants are fetid, indiscernible beasts, the only thing they have in common is their single eye, or a row of single eyes along the face, a symbol of his power and authority over them. As a figure who prizes the individual will and drive, and the will of magic users and others to mutate themselves, he is opposed in almost everything to fellow Abyssal Lord Lucifuge. His disdain for anarchy and mindless action also puts him at odds with Lord Maghralakan, the Cartilage Prince, as Balor'kun desires ordered existence and a strict hierarchy over all beings.

The Cults dedicated to Lord Balor'Kun are deceitful, and often rely on manipulation and deceit to get what they need done. Despite his hatred for Lucifuge, and the rivalry both Abyssal Lords' cults share, Balor'kun likewise operates through various false images, cat's paws and other symbolic groups that operate without even realizing who it is they serve. Unlike Lucifuge, however, his groups are focused on positioning themselves as the true lords, built on the idea that those in power have somehow conned or deceived them from power, and they must reclaim it. Whether it be a minority who believe they should command the nation, or disgruntled peasants that believe the nobles consort with outsiders, Balor'kun manipulates these groups to suit his needs. As they do not seek equality or equity, and only to command and dominate, they are prone to falling into his power webs. His demonic and cult servants are ever-planning and executing plans within plans, to the point many believe there is no end goal for those plans at all. Some even believe, however insane, that Balor'kun has died out long ago, and merely keeps his "existence" going through lies spread by servants, that his entire continued existence is a lie kept going to just keep people planning and plotting forever and ever into annihilation.

When encountered and defeated, Balor'kun's servants do not react with any hostility or hatred. Almost always, due to their belief in controlling everything, including their emotions, they act cold and impersonal, merely congratulating the foe for their victory, and promising to pay them a future visits and attack. Indeed, if one defeats Balor'kun's servants or demons, he will inevitably appear again to try and destroy or outsmart them again, each time coming back more and more determined to win each game. Every battle and political struggle is just a game to Balor'kun, and a foe that can defeat and outsmart him and his servants is someone to keep an eye on, and try to test themselves against in the future, and improve upon designs and plans Balor'kun has set in motion.

History

Emergence

Balor'kun's existence is largely unknown, as his Cultists continue to write contradictory accounts of how he came to be, all of them equally believable, and it is said Balor'kun's demons and servants are constantly writing new stories, and destroying those that may come to the truth, and as such, only Anshi-Anar knows the truth from his great forbidden library. Whatever the case, the One-Eyed God was first recorded among the other Abyssal Lords by the scribes and magi of the Fahryliac, as well as his worshippers, the Fomaraigh. Balor'kun would take a special interest in the Fomaraigh, and it is said, steel the knowledge of Dark Magic from the Fahryliac's Goddess, Fahriina, and gave such knowledge of forbidden magic to his worshippers, giving them power and the ability especially to conduct mutation and change upon the flesh, something that endlessly delighted Balor'kun, who would make the Fomaraigh his scions as Fahriina had done to the Shrouded Elves.

Balor'kun's arrogance and pride is said to have him look down upon and depise the other Abyssal Lords and their servants, only using them as pawns or aiding them if they help his plans. For example, it is said from the Fens and Bogs, his Fomaraigh would come from the mists, attacking both the Humans and Shrouded Elves to weaken both Shayone and Fahriina to benefit himself, and helping them just as often in their wars to further his agendas, all the while using his stolen knowledge to twist and mutate the bodies of others when the flow of magic is least controlled and at it's highest. His deceit, however, lead to first the Fahryliac Elves, and then the Kahdic Humans targeting and driving his Fomaraigh servants from Maelthor.

It was Balor'kun who would declare his Fomaraigh to launch their war against the Kulaung-lead Tribal Confederation of the Reimise Siogahad, and attempt to kill and sacrifice everyone of them upon the alters and temples dedicated to him. The Fomaraigh would be defeated and sent back to their bog castles and alters, but not before many Kulaung and Sidhe Elves were sacrificed upon their profane bloodletting grounds.

Though not perfect allies, Anshi-Anar is used and manipulated far less then other Abyss Lords and their servants, Balor'kun seemingly still respecting the deal they struck long ago.

Balor'kun does not speak of the Sovereign of Chaos, suggesting either he is too fearful or respectful to move against the being that is said to have fathered or birthed the other 9 Abyssal Lords.
