The once-mighty Aru Empire colonized thousands of planets on the edge of the Milky Way over the course of 3,000 years. Now, they are but a memory, a story of the great splendor of the Aru people before their downfall. Their worlds either burned or taken by other empires after the War in the Void, the Aru race has diffused across the Cosmos, many becoming pirates or bounty hunters, carrying with them the memory of their long-gone greatness.
