Elemental "Sentience"[]
I'm guessing that by "not sentient" we mean that elementals are not as self-aware like we are (which is sapience, a common confusion I've identified here). A common trait of sapient beings is a sense of reason; an ability to make deductions and come to conclusions. So mentioning "non-sapient" and "Elementals are able to reason" does appear contradictory here. It may be a very brief statement but stating that elementals are capable of deductive reasoning and saying they're not sapient (which means "to be wise") it is quite a critical point of confusion. --
