Zexak is a large carnivorous creature which is solitary as an adult but lives in groups as a juvenile.
Etymology[]
"Zexak" comes from the Dalkimek words "zex" meaning "talon" and "ak" meaning "arm". "Zexakus" is just a latin name version of that.
In reality, it's completely made up.
Description[]
Zexak has different colors depending on its age. As an adult it's brownish-green with brown spots all over its body, while as a baby it's brown with light horizontal striping down its length and white spots on its belly, sides, neck, and tail. Zexak stands on two legs, its long tail serving as a counterbalance, and it has a single arm projecting from its chest. Its feet have three toes, while its hand has four fingers with one reversed to serve as a thumb. It has a long bulky snout filled with sharp teeth, nostrils at the end of its nose, blue eyes raised slightly above the head supported by soft flesh, and a pair of venom blasters on the sides of its neck. Its body is covered in soft scales except for a plume of feathers at the end of its tail.
The venom blasters use a curved appendage to spray venom in all directions, a valuable defense against epic predators as an adult and against just about anything else as a juvenile.
Behavior[]
Thanks to an often-forgotten tagging system, adult and baby zexak always spawn together in-game, adults are always rogues, and babies are always night predators. This means that adults are solitary hunters while babies always hunt in packs, and it potentially means that adults will sometimes eat babies when given the opportunity.
