This thing...I helped create. The whispers commanded me to. Those voices...I had to make them stop! And...I created a nightmare out of my own insanity. I brought it into the world, but what can destroy the thing?

-Jarkin

The Seeker is a creature created by Dr. Jarkin Tauis. Born in a small laboratory, The Seeker escaped, and although weak from its first year, quickly grew into a very powerful creature. It was used multiple times by The Core Empire during Red Sun. It was presumably destroyed, but its corpse was not found.

History[]

The Deux Exmortis were not content with frightening ship crews or letting themselves become the scourge of younglings across the Galaxies. They wanted something born in their name that everyone would fear and think was the Exmortis. They wanted to create a beast of extrodinary violence and power, but they of course could not create it themselves, lacking a true physical form. Searching the Universe for a scientist they could influece to create the monster they imagined, the Exmortis finally found it in the form of Dr. Tauis, a scientist who specilized in creating artifical lifeforms. The Exmortis began to whisper to Jarkin, telling him to create a monster that would wreck havoc upon races and even inspire fear in the Seven Starr Alliance. Having already been "visited" by an insane robot who threatened him for information, Jarkin tried to ignore the whispers. They began to get to him, growing louder and louder, especially in the dark, when he was alone. Jarkin finally gave in, wanting the voices to go away and created in his genepool a tiny creature, pouring a goo that could strech and transform into the mixture. At last, when he had finished, Jarkin open the pool, but the thing leapt out and fled. The Exmortis were enraged and subject Jarkin to horrible images until he was driven to madness. He would not be fully cured until a year later and thus, no one knew about the Seeker for now.

It lived in the sewers of Tavalon Prime for at least a year, as it grew larger and larger and more aggressive, even devouring sewer mantinence teams when they came by. Then, in the early days of Red Sun, when the Core Empire was doing a scan of Tavalon Prime, they found the animal. Doing a bio-scan of it, they found the creature was nearly invincible, being made out of goo, could reform lost body parts in seconds and even it lost bits could act on their own will. They also found it was very aggressive and decided it would be a useful tool, teleporting the creature aboard their Eradicator ship. They quickly "reprogrammed" its DNA to be only loyal to the Core Empire. Dead Brain thought this was a very good time to launch a "message" to the other empires of the universe. Deciding to use this creature, whom Dead Brain had dubbed the Seeker, Dead Brain located a world called Mirenton that was owned by not only the Delpha Coalition of Planets but the Seven Starr Alliance as well, the most powerful alliance of empires in the galaxy.

Assualt on Mirenton[]

Flying toward the planet, the Core Empire knew a direct assualt on the planet would be extremely foolish, as the planet was protected by a planetary shield, Orbital Weapons platforms, thousands of Dreadnought ships, and even the a hugely powerful ship, the Gargantuan. The Core Empire instead a bunch of enslaved Apeox to fly toward the planet with a jar containing the Seeker. Getting past the defense weapons, the mind controlled Apeox started walking toward the primary target, the Diplomatic Embassy. They placed the jar directly outside the guarded gates of the Embassy and opened it.

Instantly, a enormous mass of blobish liquid burst out. Tossing the Apeox away like toys, it then formed an enormous fist in the right half of its body and smashed the gate of the Embassy. The guards opened fire on the Seeker, but the laser blast did no harm to it. The Seeker proceeded the kill the guards shooting it and ripped open the roof of the embassy. Surprised at the this unexpected attack, the Grimbolsaurians tried to get the alien embassodors out but the Seeker formed dozens of tentacles and grabbed anything it could get, crushing its foes or actually consuming them. The Grimbolsaurians ordered the army to attack this beast and dozens of tanks to attack the Seeker.

The Seeker tore the Embassy to shreds and was hit by a barrage of proton missiles and laser blasts, blasting the Seeker apart. The Grimbolsaurians breathed a sigh of relief and then ordered the military to get a sample to see what this thing was. But suddenly, the small pieces of goo that were all that were left of the Seeker flew at the military, getting inside their suits and then into their bodies, killing Grimbolsaurians from within. The pieces then flew out of the dead bodies and reformed themselves into the Seeker. Now very angry, the Seeker grabbed one of the tanks with a huge arm it had formed and used it as club, sending Grimbolsaurian soldiers flying. One general started to realize it could not be killed by lasers or missiles and ordered the flamethrowers taken out. The Seeker then attacked one of the main power suppliers of the planet, the one that controlled the defense platforms.

However, before the Seeker could destroy the supplier, soliders fired into the goo monster with their flamethrowers. The Seeker screamed, finding its burning hide was unable to reform itself. It turned but was hit again and began to burn into nothing. One soldier then tossed his pack into what remained of the Seeker and shot the pack, causing an enormous explosion of flames that burned the entire beast into nothingness. The only downside was that now there was nothing left and the Grimbolsaurians had no idea that a bigger threat was coming.

Return[]

However, a single part of the Seeker remained behind, as it had been knocked off the Seeker while it had attacked the Power Supplier. This strand was located by the Core Empire and they sent a Stealth Drone to retrieve the sample, feeling the Seeker could be a useful asset during the war that would soon come. Although the Stealth Drone was found and attacked by Grimbolsaurian soldiers, it successfully retrieved the sample and returned it to the Core Empire. The Core Empire began to regrow the Seeker, and in the meantime, waged war on the Galaxies.

During the first major battle of Red Sun, called the Battle of Imperium Sector, the Alliance commenced an attack on the Core Empire's space station in an attempt to stop them after they obliverated the Gnosh in the Imperium Sector. Several Alliance soldiers, led by Captain Alron, entered the space station to sabotage it from within. Battling through hordes of Optic Sins, Stealth Drones, and Goratllers, the soldiers came at last to a science lab. Their they saw the Seeker contained inside a test tube, having nearly grown back to full strength. Reconizing the creature from the Alliance Enemy Database, Alron shot the life support controls for the Seeker's containment tank and the whole thing shut down. Breathing a sigh of relief, suddenly, Alron noticed the Seeker starting to move. As it would later turn out, the Seeker didn't need the life support functions and the Core was just giving it those to help it grow faster. Breaking out of its tank, the Seeker gazed at its foes and immediatly grabbed one soldier and bit her head off. The others opened fired with but they of course did nothing and Alron realized they hadn't any flammable weapons. The Seeker immediatly formed its sides into giant blades and ripped the soldiers to pieces.

Alron tried to get in contact with the Alliance ships fighting outside and request evact, but the Seeker immediatly grabbed Alron in its fist and ripped him in half. It then consumed his corpse and remained in the station as the Core and Alliance ships retreated, but the Alliance suffering more in the conflict. The Seeker was later retrieved by the Core, who were delighted by his revival, especially Dead Brain.

Final Fight[]

At the closing stage of the war, on the planet were Zarkhator was being resummoned, the Core, Dark One, and Grox forces fought against the united empires of the Universe in order to summon a being with enough power to devestate the Galaxy. The Seeker was deployed during the battle, swatting aside anything that got in its way. Spotting a pontential target, the Seeker charged through the tide of chaos and attacked none other than the leader of the Lorons: Zr'Ahgloth. The Lorons had been convinced to take part in the final battle because the Core had "cheated us and dey is sooo stupid if dey think we aren't gonna get our money backz." The Seeker grabbed Zr'Angloth and tossed him to the ground, sending him skidding for several feet before coming to a halt.

Immediatly enraged that "Dis big blob think he's gonna hit da Big Boss", Zr'Angloth charged at the Seeker and smashed into it with enough force to topple an Epic. The Seeker stumbled and Zr'Ahgloth let loose a fury of devestating punches, sending parts of the Seeker's face flying off. Then the Seeker grabbed Zr'Ahgloth, its face already reforming and smashing Zr'Ahgloth into the ground, dragging him along the rocky terrain and trying to rip him in half with its tentacles. Zr'Ahgloth, however, ripped off parts of the tentacles and dropped to the ground. He leaped again at the Seeker, who easily swatted Zr'Ahgloth away like a toy. Smashing hard into the ground again, Zr'Ahgloth began to get angry he hadn't beaten "Dis idiot" yet and jumped up again. The Seeker crawled toward him, forming its sides into enormous rocks and swinging them at Zr'Ahgloth. Zr'Ahgloth however dodged them and and tackled the Seeker's torso and ripped it off. Zr'Ahgloth held onto the squirming goo as it tried to get back to the rest of the Seeker, as the true Seeker turned and advanced slowly on Zr'Ahgloth. Zr'Ahgloth then ran backward, intending to get a running start to charge his foe, but suddenly, the ground beneath the Seeker collapsed. The Seeker fell into the ground, trying to grab the walls but failing. It then fell into the lava caverns that were under this planet and burned to death once again in molten lava.

Since the world was later devestated by Zarkhator, it is presumed nothing of the Seeker survived. At least, that is hoped.

Personaility[]

The Seeker was nothing more than an animal, attacking anything it spotted with viciousness and deadly aggressiveness. It lacked sentience, simply following the commands of the Core much like an obidiant watchdog. It was also constantly hungry, often consuming its foes that it attacked but it did not eat none sentient species for reasons unknown.
